Captivate

Hello,I have several SCORM files that I have uploaded to our LMS. For the most part, each SCORM file has quiz questions and an Exit button. When users complete the SCORM files, we have gotten reports that the file is still being marked "In Progress". I do already have a ticket in with our LMS vendor, but I would like to know if there may be a cause within adobe captivate. Could the quizzes be causing this issue? 

I need to publish several courses that are in Spanish, but I can not seem to get Captivate to publish the course with the Spanish words (or any other language I tried). "Slide title" and "Duration" in the TOC and "Minutes" in the lower left corner timer.

I created a new Captivate file with a Calibri font theme. I used some of the elements from my earlier developed Captivate file Which contained Myriad Pro font and I updated all the fonts as per my Calibri font theme. Now, whenever I opened this Captivate file it shows a Missing font message window. I replaced the Missing font as per my theme font and I updated the Object Style Manager and verified Captivate Master slides as well. However, it still shows the Missing font message window.  Please let me know how to resolve the issue. why it is showing the Missing font window when the Missing font does not exist in the Captivate Source file. Looking for Adobe support.

I see this has been up once before but the person did not got any answer so I try again.The problem is that after a while the youtube links (They open external on youtube) gets broken.When I run the course using F11 on my desktop it works so the links have not changed.I the need to cut and paste the exact same link in Captivate from property window to get it to work. Thios make no sense.Is this a captivate bug or a LMS bug?BRRobert

Looking for some help. I consider myself pretty competent in what seems to be a fairly simple tool (I'm used to Visual Studio and other dev tools). I'm running into an oddity with a couple of files from someone and can't ask them what they did. At this stage I'm suspecting a product bug but I'd love to be proved wrong.The problem is pretty much like the title says - on more than one slide I have an image that won't go away - I can't select it or delete it.Things I've tried:1. Deleted the background for the slide - no difference, it's not the background.2. Checked the (blank) master - it's not on there (and doesn't appear on other slides).2. Looked in the Library and the image is not there, as a background or an image.3. Saved, closed, CP re-opened etc etc.4. Checked that the image isn't on another slide and set to appear throughout (suggestion I saw somewhere).All to no avail - stuck with annoying images I can't do anything about. Grr. Hi there!  I am creating a project which is for desktop only so no need to be responsive.  However, the problem I have is that with a non-responsive project, the text seems to be very pixelated as i believe it is converted into an image?  Apart from creating the text in illustrator and importing in as a SVG is there any other way to sharpen the text?  Obviously importing the text as an SVGs will be a slow process and difficult to update.  Would you recommend creating this as a responsive project even though it will not be required as such, to improve the qulaity overall? I also have been tasked to update older non-responsive projects and improve the quality. The dimensions are 1280x720. Thanks!  

i have installled the latest version of captivate 2019 on my MAC with big sur as the OS. i have not been able to load the eleraning assets i continue to get an error code 41. any one have a fix for this issue  

I zoom into my project so that I can work on it:   I duplicate the oval, click on timing and the screen moves, why?  This is the entire screen that I see above and below  This is very frustrating.  I have 40 ovals that I have to duplcate and precisely place and it keeps moving each time.  Why?  I am on captivate 11.5.5.676.  

I'm having a little trouble adding a JS Cookie to the index.html built with Captivate. Quite frankly, it shouldn't be that difficult considering it's nothing more than <script> content and a file. What happens is that after I've inserted the code, the Cookie container flashes and then the Captivate slider appears but nowhere to be seen is the Cookie container, even though the code is present. However, if I was to load the scripts in a separate web file (as a tester), no problem! Dear allI have been away for a year from my computer and adobe captivate was not available on remote working. Unfortunatelly once I came back to the office I realize that all my captivate projects were deleted and a new istallation of captivate was needed in my organization as well as new computers.I have saved my captivate projects into a hardrive , and move them to the new documents: / saved captivate projects, but when I open captivate I am not able to open the projects any more, I can just play them but I need to reopen to make some changes in the project and finaly save it as a Scorm package The projects files are saved with another name and not with the numerical data that captivate saved them. Can anyone please provide me with some help.Thanks in advancePEPE

Some, not all, question slides require double-clicking to select an answer when viewed in SCORM cloud. When landing on the screen, the entire screen is hot, or clickable, and the hand icon displays wherever you move the cursor. So the user selects their answer, but it's not registered. They then have to click again, and then the answer IS registered. Why is the entire screen clickable upon entering the question slide? Why must they click twice to select an answer? Also, this happens randomly and not all questions. Some question slides behave properly, but some (of the same question type) don't. The desired result is a single click to select an answer.  I've replaced all question slides and changed obvious settings and no change. I am using version 2019 11.5.1.499. Thanks for your help!

I created a text box entry in which the user is supposed to enter the name. If they enter the name, it moves to the next slide. If they leave empty, they get an error message prompting them to enter name. All of this works. However, if the user enters the name after they get an error, then it does not move to the next slide. Not sure what is missing. 

I am NEW to Captivate. I am publishing a course in HTML5 and when I want to zip the SCORM file it launches Adobe Media Encoder and begins to generate an MP4. Not sure how to just have it create a SCORM zip file.ThanksMike

Hello! I am entering a 3 minute video into Captivate to create an interactive video. Captivate is posting it as a 2 minute 56 second video. The last 4 seconds are vital to the video. How can I ensure that the video stays at 3 minutes.  I attempted to load it into Premier Pro to add some blank length, but only 2 minutes 56 seconds of the video will show up in Premier Pro. The video resides on my desktop, so I am not trying to get it from any where else. When I play the video on my desktop, all 3 minutes show up. Kris Beisel

I would like to use software simulations as the test for whether our learners have understood the training correctly. Can I configure the Reporting settings to get a pass or fail for a simulation?If I set the Status Representation to Incomplete > Passed/Failed, it still always shows as Passed, even when the user makes errors and sees the Failure captions before clicking the correct click boxes. I was hoping I could set a limit for how many times they get it wrong before getting it right.All I can see in the settings for Success Criteria is User Access or Slide Views, neither of which are quite what I need as they don't relate to simulations.Is there any way to do what I want? Or any suggestions for a better way to use simulations as a test?

Hello!!!I have a scenario where in Captivate I have it set to where the user has three attempts to pass the quiz. However, in blackboard, if the user tries once, closes out the course, and then tries to come back and attempt the 2 other tries they have, Blackboard has counted it as an attempt and then only lets them view the submission. If they stay in the course it works perfectly but I have a feeling we will run into them closing it out at one point. I can't do three attempt in blackboard either because then it resets the entire scorm package and I don't want them to go through it all over again. Has this happened to anyone else?Thank you!!!!

I have created a cpvc file inside a cptx responsive project but when published the cpvc does not display. I then created a cpvc and imported it into the cptx project. Same problem it will not display when published. I need to be able to convert the cpvc to mp4 but can not determine how to do this in Captivate 9 as there doesn't seem to be a way of controlling the output. Would you kindly explain how I can do this as a matter of urgency.Thank you.Amanda

I know this looks like it's a Windows issue, but it's only happening with Captivate-related files, as far as I've identified, so I want to check with this community.When I re-save a CPTX or re-publish to a ZIP, and then go to Windows Explorer, the Date column does not update to Date Modified (it stays at Date Created).In that screen shot, the files that were modified and resaved in/from Captivate are showing the "Date Created" instead of the "Date Modified" in the "Date" column (yellow/red highlights). The green highlights are files saved in/from different programs (e.g., PPT) and the "Date" column correctly shows the modification date. (For the record, non-highlighted rows were saved once and never modified.) Anyone else seeing this? Know how to resolve it?  Thanks for any advice!

I have added the closed captioning text to the slides, checked the show closed caption check box in settings, but they do not appear when viewing in HTML5.  They DO appear in any other preview.  The rest of the other slides with audio are working fine.  Any idea what is wrong?

 Version 2019 HiI have seen this question been up before but they are getting really old.So I wonder. Is tgeir a way to change all the fonts at once. I know I can change them one object at a time to use object style manager but I have some trouble to figure out on how to use this to change all the fonts.BrRobert

I have a course that doesn't have any questions or a results slide, but requires the learner to acknowledge a statement at the end of the course by selecting a button.  In addition to the "I Acknowledge" button, there is also an "I CANNOT Acknowledge" button.  Each button is setup so that it is included in the quiz reporting (a 2 if the statement is acknowledged, a 1 if it is not).  The idea behind all of this was that we could run a report from our LMS and use the score to see who acknowledged the statement (score of 2) and who could not (score of 1). The problem is that some people are selecting both buttons and are scoring a 3.  So, I need to revise the course so that it is only possible to report either a 2 or a 1. The easy way would be to set it up so that when the learner selected one button it disabled the other.  But, there are potential consequences for selecting either answer so I want to give the learner the ability to change their mind or

I have content that only requires viewing all of the slides in the lesson to mark it as complete.  However, I'm not sure how to set the system up where it shows the learner which slides they've already seen or which ones are left to view in order to complete the training.Does anyone have a link to instructions on how to accomplish this?Thanks!

We're experiencing issues when publishing scalable HTML5 courses and viewing on the iPhone 11 (tested in both Chrome and Safari). The courses crash on some of the pages where we have used customised advanced actions and states. These have always worked in the past so no idea why they don't now. We have gone through each page, rebuilt from scratch and tested in new documents but the issues still persist. We've been pulling our hair out trying to find a solution. Happy to upload a development file for review. Using Captivate 11.5.4.613 on Apple Mac Catalina 11.15.2
