Hallo, ich brauche DRINGEND Hilfe bitte mit Adobe Captivate 2019 in der aktuellsten Version. Ich bin Creative Cloud Komplett Abo-Kunde und habe nun Adobe Captivate 2019 als Einzellizenz GEKAUFT - aber ich kann es NICHT benutzen!!Ich habe extra die neueste Trial-Version runtergeladen. Dann will ich die APP starten, ich sehe kurz das Start-Video und dann stürzt das Programm IMMER direkt OHNE Fehler ab.Ich habe schon tausendmal die Voreinstellungen gelöscht, habe 2 mal de- und neu installiert. HILFE! Die Lizenz war sehr teuer und ich kann das Programm seit 2 Wochen nicht benutzen!!

Greetings all,My project requires that the course simulate a copy/paste activity. The first task is to click on a Text Entry Box (TEB) that has default text entered. They need to click in the box and highlight the text. Works fine in Captivate Preview mode, but does not when published. After publishing and running in Chrome, when the slide with the TEB is viewed, the default text in the TEB is already highlighted, which defeats the task of clicking in and highlighting.  I have tried adding another actionable object (i.e., button or click box) that is at the top of the timeline and is higher on the slide (Y value) than the TEB, trying to force the browser to set the focus to that object so the TEB doesn't highlight the default text. That did not work. Anyone got a clue? I am using Captivate 2019, version 11.5.1.499.Thanks in advance for any assistance!Cheers Russ

Hi there, Is a way to hide/show ALL highlight boxes without programming them all into an advanced action separately? Maybe Java Script? Thanks in advance.

I have two separate modules that I want to jump between, if the instructor chooses to do so, otherwise they should play as independent modules. In other words, if the instructor wants to jump from slide 4 in module 1 to slide 3 of module 2 to show a relationship between the topics, I will have a button that will allow the jump.So far I can get mod 2 to open but it opens at the first page. If I add a function that calls a specific page, it will open mod 2 and also a blank page. I cannot get it to go to the page I want. Hi All, I am currently using Captive 2019 11.5.5.553. We have a projct that mainly has slides added to it through various question pools. Each pool adds x number of questions. These pools were created in a previous captivate version (although I hae made changes to these pools within the project so guessing they have been updated?). We were publishing this project as a flash, but I am just finishing exporting it as an html project. The issue is that when I am testing the published project lots of the images (not all) are getting mixed up and images from different pools are appearing on other pool questions. This can be seen in the attached images where images with 'a' at the end are what I am seeing in the browser whereas 'b' is what is designed in Captivate. As can be seen they are not matching (even some of the design is incorrect). Hi,Captivate 2019 11.5.5. Windows 10.Any advice how to make the following shorcuts to start working again?The keyboard shorcuts for Publish (example shift+F12) and Preview (F10,F11, etc.) no longer work for me as they always have. It wasnt until recently this behavior started. Other keyboard shorcuts work like ctrl+s, ctrl+f, etc. I cant find anything other than Preview and Publish actions that are not reponding to kb shortcuts, but there could be others that arent working, but less important to me. I use preview and publish shorcuts all the time! Selecting the actions from their corresponding menus work as expected.Captivate cache has been cleared, computer has been restarted. I want my kb shorcuts back! The menu still specifies the shortcut to use, so I know it wasnt re-assigned. 

I am using a template from website that I have found, that uses responsive projects. I have made sure that all elements look good on desktop and vertical mobile version, however, after publishing and viewing the project on a phone, the project is all messed up. The elements are overlapping each other, titles are not what I set them to be and the navigation does not work properly.  I believe the template does not use fluid boxes, as that option is grayed out, even when I click on certain objects. Desktop version looks and works fine by the way, this is only a mobile issue.  Any ideas what could cause this issue and how to fix it?

I have seen several posts re embedding non websafe fonts in Captivate content. If you're using a corporate font or an Adobe CC font (old typekit) in your eLearning then these will most likely be replaced by Times New Roman or some other arbitrary font by the browser when published. In addition Captivate's caption text always seems to be fuzzy in Chrome and possibly Edge the reason for which I have not established and Adobe have not been much help in resolving this issue.However there is a simple workaround which doesn't seem to be common knowledge and does not need the downloading fonts and editing CSS process others have suggested. All you need to do is create an empty user variable, length of 1 character and add it to the last line of your text in a caption or a smart shape preferably after a carriage return.Including the variable forces Captivate to convert the caption text to an image, thus rendering the text during publishing and in doing so sorts the fuzzy characters problem as w

I work on Adobe Captivate 2017 and have multiple versions of the project which I am working on. When trying to publish version 3 of my project, the typical folders and index.html files were not published. I have tried various methods including Ccopying and pasting into a blank project, saving the project in a new folder and all of these methods do not work. Would love to know how i could overcome it. I want to include a branch section in my Captivate, but after the branch, I want the slide numbers to skip those slides and resume from the branch menu. Example: Branch menu is on slide 22. I have 2 branches. I want the page number to skip the branch slides, and be the consecutive number from the branch menu. Branch menu is slide 22, I want go directly to the Summary, (which is actually slide 30) but I want the page number to be 23, and then continue consecutively after that. Currently I am using the variable cpInfoCurrentSlide for my page numbers. In the branch, I used an advanced action to increment/decrement the section page numbers.Also, is there a place I can reference what the system variables actually do?ThanksRuth 

More specifically, if someone were taking a course through captivate, how can I make the text in the project copy & paste-able? Currently, the only things that can be clicked on in the project are a couple of buttons - there is no way to interact with the text itself.

I have an MP4 video recorded via Microsoft Teams, that I'm trying to import into Captivate.  The properties of the MP4 are 1920 x 1080 and my Captivate project is also 1920 x 1080 and the video is still blurry.  I thought if I had the resolutions aligned I woudl be ok, but it appears not. Any help?

My question is related to the executable output itself and not the technology used to generate it. My question is, with Flash dead, exe outputs are defunct. Is there any plan from Adobe to fix it using a different technology or will executable outputs be EOLed completely? Can someone from Adobe comment? 

I am trying to add a Vimeo video but it keeps failing. My steps:MediaVideoChoose Slide Video > VimeoInsert URL I get a pop-up that says "Unable to insert video". I've confirmed the URL is correct, changed the privacy settings to allow anyone to view (this is not desirable) but I'm not sure what "Streaming  may be unavailable for this video" refers to and a Google search just leads to a bunch of pages on how to live stream. The video is almost an hour and a half if that makes any difference. What do I need to do to make this work? Is the video just too long?

When I try to export as HTML5 (not a zip file), Captivate shows the "copying assets" loading box and then immediately crashes. This has never happened before. All I changed since the last successful publish was shortening all click boxes. A click box used to cover every slide completely, now every slide only has a click box for the last 3 seconds. Anyone know what might be causing Captivate to crash?

Hello!I usually finger to be working on my personal computer and on the company's computer, but when I export on the company's computer the project is very large, but when I do it on the personal pc it is fine.Do you know why this happens?Thanks.

My projects has several hundred different short audio files (in my library) that play depending on the value of a single variable. So I think I should use Javascript to set the conditions and play the right audio. I just can't find the interface for this.Could someone give an example of this javascript for Captivate?For ex.  If v_Choice = 1,  then play "audioX.mp3".Thank you..

Hello, I'm fairly new to the world of eLearning and training development. It came about by accident; I was originally a budding web designer when I was offered a position to create online tutorials for field personnel. It was a new position and completely separate from the corporation's training department, so I am self-taught in Captivate as well as Articulate Storyline.  I held the position for three years, during which I created about 10-15 tutorials targeting a specific team. In addition, the training department "borrowed" me twice to help them for longer term projects that targeted a much wider audience. Thus began my entry into the world of training development. While I had no problem learning the two different softwares, I don't  have any formal education in the training/teaching field. All I know how to do is create WBTs and CBTs based on information given. My contract ended last week and I'm searching for another role within the training development industr

With IE11: presence of a display bug in the recovery window. The buttons are superimposed. In google Chrome the buttons are displayed normally. How to remove this bug or remove the display option from this window ? Thanks for your helpLaura

I want to add a Search tool to an Adobe Captivate project like the one in the ToC feature but I want the Search to be independant of the ToC. Is this can be possible or a similar alternative. The project is a stand alone and needs to be used offline and online.

Hello,I uninstalled Captivate because it kept crashing when trying to use it so I was going to reinstall it.  However once uninstalled it does not appear in my Creative Cloud launcher and when I try to download it from the site it only gives me the option to buy it again or get a trial.  What am I missing here?

Hi--Does captivate 2019 have any deubbing tools?I'm trying to launch a SCO from where I left off, but it's not working. Testing this on the scorm cloud, it works fine, just not in my LMS so I need to find what's going on.My SCO is saving session_data and lesson_location, but is only reading lesson_location on launch for some reason. Thank you!/kevin
