So i have a few content carousels, and inevitably i have issues with attaching audio to the states. If I have 10 states, one of them will play the volume lower than all the rest. Removing and adding the audio again does not fix it. In fact, normally it moves the low volume to a different state but the original state starts working properly.  Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution. 

Hi. All of a sudden I am unabl to edit audio in Adobe Audition. I used ot be able to go to Audio > Edit > Project, an then click on "Adobe Audition" and the entire audio file for the project would open in Audition. But now, Audition opens but the audio is not imported. I am able to go to the library and individually open each audio file by slide but I do not like this work around. I am using Adobe Captivate 9.0.0.223 and Audition 13.0.13.46 and Windows 10. Thanks!

I want Captivate to generate random numbers for 2 variables when the user enters a question slide. Then Captivate will plug the 2 variables in to an equation and get a number answer. I want the user to type a number in a fill-in-the-blank space. Finally, I want Captivate to accept an answer within +/-5% of the correct answer. Is this possible to do in Captivate?

I have an advanced action I want to use on multiple with javascript and toggle a variable. The script works fine if I use it in an advanced action. The script shows and hides images in a string based on what is clicked for a visual aid I am working on. I won't pretend to be any good at JavaScript since I have no formal education in writing code of any form. Perhaps that plays a part in this issue. I can save the advanced action as a shared action. Hey Guys, I'm back with another question for the multiple training courses I have been tasked with designing. Currently when a user fails and clicks next on the results page this is what happens: IF cpQuizInfoAttempts is equal to one 1; ACTION jump to slide 1; ELSE jump to slide 21 (which is a you failed noticed and instructions on next steps) It has now been asked that when a user fails a second time that they would be able to go back and review the quiz itself. Its important training so they need 100% however, we dont want to give them the answers for the 2nd attempt. How can we inable quiz review for after the second fail? We don't care at this point about them seeing the answers as any further attempts would be with a "teacher". The only work around that I have currently found would be to manually recreate the quiz with the answers and an explanation but I would like to just do that within the quiz itself if possible.

Can anyone help. I am trying to creat vertical text boxes so that the user has  tabs to click on to find out what the content of that area is. the general design is abit like the spines of books leaning against each other.

Hi! I just created an assessment in Captivate but for some reason I can't find the timing alternative for success/failure captions. For now they are about 3 seconds but I would like to decide the timing of it myself. Is this not possible in 2019 or in an assessment? /P  

I am previewing a course and noticed that while I click on the Forward button on the play for my first four slides (to skip listening to the entire narration) when I get to the fifth slide the Forward button won't advance the course. I can't go forward until the narration is done. I can't find anything in the slide narration, the timeline or with any of the objects on the screen that is causing this. Note that I have a button set up on the master slide to pause the project until the user clicks.  Any help on why I can't advance this slide would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, is it possible to change the project size of the asset projects? They all come in the same project size 1024x627, but I would like to change them to 1920x1080. How can I do that without completely messing up the layout?Thanks a lot in advance, Nina

Hi All,I could not update my Captivate and I just uninstall. Now I want to download and install it again but somehow I cannot. I have an enterprise account. I log in to my account and click download, it took me to Creative Cloud, but unfortunately, there is no Captivate! How can I download and install it? 

Hello. I am starting an interactive project with breakpoints. I want to control the height of the slide and give it more height each time. But I see that from approximately 2500px the page (white area) is lost below the Cp area.The height of a project of these characteristics has a height limit ?.Thanks

Hi everyone,I am trying to embed a vimeo video using the interactive video feature. When I do I have 2 issues.1. the video quality of the first 5 or so seconds is terrible and then eventually corrects. I placed a 10 second slide before the video hoping it would preload and play correctly. It does not help at all.2. The vimeo play bar is not visible on publish.  In this case it is not critical because i am using a custom play/pause button but i may want the vimeo playbar in the future.thank much Kurt

On a Drag and Drop question slide and under Drag and Drop > Actions, there are options to add and "Undo" and "Reset" button. But there is no option to add a "Skip" button as you can with normal question slides.How can I add a "Skip" button for a Drag and Drop question? Am I stuck with trying to exactly recreate the font/style of the "Submit" button in order to have a consistent "Skip" button?

Our company is moving from network drives to Google drive and we have teammembers that have huge personal drives because of Adobe Captivate Cached Projects. Is there a safe way to move the Adobe Captivate Cached Projects content from their personal drive to company Google drive without causing issues with the courses being damaged or deleted? We use Captivate 2019On the last slide in the action "onEnter" we use JavaScript to send data to our system.This script:SCORM_objAPI.LMSSetValue("cmi.suspend_data", "123");instead of "123" we send result of test to our system. But, when we start test second time - it is not work. It looks like pause on the first or second slide and nothing else. When we use previous versoin of Captivate this Script successfully worked fine. Now this script works too, but we don't have opportunity to do test next time. This situation happen in cloud and in our local system. So, my question is, how to use "cmi.suspend_data" in our test without crashing all the test on the second start. Maybe there is some examples?

Hello,I've been out of the production world for a while. I need software with the interactive qualities of Encore, Macromedia Director or DVD Studio Pro. The plan is to make a touch screen display for a mueum on a 60 inch, portrait mode monitor with 4k video. Siimply a motion menu with 6 buttons and 3 of them play full screen, life-sized, portrait video clips.The other 3 buttons go to static pages. Is the video driver in Captivate strong and responsive enough? Will it handle 4k in portrait mode?Another person suggested using Unity but I'd rather use Adobe. This would been a piece of cake in Encore with 720 x 486 video. Any suggestions for other software?Thank you

I have slide video links from Vimeo. After publishing to LMS, they are working on Windows and even on Android phones. But getting stuck in loading and not playing at all on Apple device like iPhone, Mac, and Ipad. Same issue when changing the link from Youtube. Any workaround to get Slide Video play on apple devices with a link from Vimeo or Youtube after publishing to LMS.

Hello community!We are having a weird situation with an HTML5 course. Most of it looks great when published, but this course has an mp4 video attached and when the course gets to the video slide, the video won't load completeley, starts buffering and most of the times gets stuck.We are troubleshooting and we have find out that this behavior is only happening with Mozila Firefox browser. Both Chrome and IE load the video right.From browser console tools we can see the following error:"Type error: g.nativeVideo is null"with a reference to CPXHRLoader.js line 37 We're using Captivate 2019 release 11.5.1.499Any hint of what could be wrong? Hello, I've been making materials in Captivate for a year, exporting in html and uploading to an LMS to Cambridge University Press, in a very satisfactory way. Now I'm trying the same with a 360 virtual reality project but I have the problem that when I publish the html and open the downloaded "index", I can´t see the project correctly, only a black screen with the control buttons. From the pptx file, in preview mode, I can see it, but when I publish it, there is no way. I've tried in Chrome 70 and Safari and nothing. I do not know if it is necessary to touch some parameter of the publishing configuration or what ?. However I have seen some web where this vr projects are published and they work and they look good. Any ideas? Thank you!!

I was wondering if you can help me? One of our modules has an issue in Captivate. There is a slide on top of each if quiz slides, but we cannot see an object in the timeline or in the master slide, and cannot remove them (same random slide on top of each slide, not the slide before quiz either). The next button etc aren't working in the quiz so cannot move on in the preview mode during the quiz. Also I published the module but not getting the update link so not updating the old version in the elearning platform (CP) and also tried the elearning publish button that previously worked for me.

Hello. I'm looking for some JS help. I've seen a few other posts on this issue but decided to start a new thread to not cause confusion. Here's my situation: I have tweaked the CPLibraryAll.css file to style my ordered list <li> tags with custom numbers. When learners select a RTL language, I need those styled numbers to reposition to the right. I have created a class for this. Where I am stuck right now is that I need to apply this class to those <li> elements.  I tried executing JS on my first slide when a user selects and presses the RTL language (in this case Arabic) button. Here is the code used: var element = document.getElementById("swap"); element.classList.add("rtllist"); "swap" is the id I gave my <li> and "rtllist" is the class I have setup. I have this code being executed on slide 1 and the first instance where my targeted list items are is on slide 5. Is this part of the issue? I could be going about this the wrong way, so I'

When we are recording a simulation it always defaults to a pearl theme. Is there a way to change this so that it defaults to a white theme while recording?

How can I set the x and y coordinates on a motion path so that the path ends at a precise location?I have 3 objects on a slide that I want to move and left-align. I've been using the trial-and-error method of adjusting the motion path arrows, previewing, and then moving the arrows again, but that is tedious and unexact. It would be much better if I could just set the desired coordinates.I thought maybe I could edit the xml file, but I'm a long ways from being advanced enough to understand what I'm looking at so I don't know if that's even possible. I'm using CP 6.0, if that matters.Thanks for your help.Dan

Gentlefolk,This may have been mentioned, but I have not seen it covered in a casual search of this forum. Feel free to redirect me. The idea of copy/paste to create a closed caption seems soooo 2010. Speech to Text has improved dramtically - who types text messages any more? But I don't see a speech to text function in Captivate that will take an audio file and do a rough cut closed caption with all the timing hacks needed to keep the two files - audio and CC - in synch. There are third-party vendors who do create closed captions from audio files, but apparently Captivate can't side-load these files. Am I missing something very, very obvious that only I am totally of? This is not the first time I have failed to find the obvious, but an automated Speech to Text function seems very obvious to me. Many thanks for any thoughts! Don
