Captivate

I have a tutuorial on software and I have text entry boxes where they have to type things in. How do I make the slide stop until they enter the text? I have it validated already but if they don't do anything the slide just moves on. 

Why is captive not available to download it does not show up, I have the CC All Apps Plan?!

Hello! I have already watched the videos and seen the webpage for how to insert a web object into adobe captivate. However, no matter what I try, I cannot get the actual object to appear once I play my project. It appears in the filmstrip view though, and in the slide previews. Even using http://google.com does not work, so I know that the problem is not in the webpage itself. Are there any ideas or help someone can please provide? I appreciate the help,Zachary

I have a course that I only want the Playbar navigation controls to appear on the 3 slides that have videos.  This will give the learner the ability to play, pause, and rewind the video. I do not want it on for any other slides, as the course has it's own navigation buttons. How do I have the playbar only appear on the slides containing video? Thanks,Larry

Hi!Is there any way to avoid Captivate to convert ppt slides to swf? I really need to import several ppt presentations.I found a very stupid way to get around this problem that is adding a smartshape in every slide and merge it with the background. How can I set a font for Runtime Dialog box?Apparently the setting in Object Style Manager is ignored for some obscure reason...As you can see: Arial is selected, the change applied, yet both preview and real box still use Times New Roman. Why?//UPDATE: some fonts are accepted by Captivate... for example Andalus, Georgia, Verdana... But not Arial, Courier New nor Trebuchet.

Hi I created some code a few months back which allowed a quiz at the end of the learning to be completed upto 3 times. This has suddenly stopped working. I have not changed anything. I initially thought it was the LMS but it will not work in preview mode either. This is the code the issue is it will allow the user to fail the test 2 times (instead of the expected 3) and just locks up on the screen displayed. Any help would be apprechiated  

Hi.I work for a company, who want to transfer theire lizenz to me. I think it's legal to tranfer a lizenz.!?What informations do I need. I think, the company has to deinstall Captivate and gave me the lizenz code?   Thanks!

So when I preview my slide or when I'm working on it, it looks like the top photo (which is the way I want it to look). However, when I play the project, it looks like the second photo, which I DONT want because everything is too small, my shadows disappeared and the shade of green even changed. I don't know what I did to make this change - can anyone help me? 

Hello, can I use the advanced actions and system variables in order to set up a report of the quiz results sent via e-mail? Please excuse my ignorance, I am new to Captivate. I am one of those dinosaurs who previously worked only in Adobe Indesign converted to SWF or imported to Adobe Flash Pro. As we all know, SWF is on the way out and Adobe Animate doesn't really serve my purposes. I create educational interactive ebooks previously transferring them to my target market via a hard copy edition (exclusively built in InDesign coverted to PDF) and a computer standalone interactive version (exclusively built in InDesign converted to a SWF projector).I've been learning Captivate for the last month, via Linkedin/Lynda.com, and it serves all my interactive needs, even better than InDesign! However I have one outstanding issue, it's the format of the slides in a Captivate project. Adobe Captivate seems to exclusively work in horizontal formatted slides and not vertical formatted slides. Is there anyway that I can change the slides to a vertical format, preferentially A4 measurements.At present, although I have dev

We have a few hundred courses we publish for customers at different times. But randomly, as of a few weeks ago, there are a few that are not working when we test them on SCORM Cloud. We get a CP icon on the screen instead of the course. The settings seem the same as the ones that publish and show up correctly. Any ideas on what this might be related to?   

captivate 19 11.5.1.499 I have 3 TEBs on one slide, each with user validation, and show button deselected. On success I say increment a variable by 1 (with continue playing the project deselected and shortcut to none). I have a custom submit button with an action saying if all are true, show correct text and next button, else hide (these elements Which are hidden on stage)My problem is that the TEBs don't seem to be retaining any information, or maybe the success is not incrementing the variable assigned to each TEB (i made 3 unique). I did it this way to avoid an action on enter of slide which increments the variables with the correct entry in the TEBs. Is my strategy wrong?

I am on a team that produces course material for the internal LMS. Over the course of three years, our company has changed hands twice. Each new sale introduces new branding since we are now a new entity. We produce hundreds of LMS courses for a wide array of software tools. Each time we re-brand, we need to go back into literally hundreds of Captivate projects and swap out the branding elements, change styles to the new standards, and change colors on thousands of slides. One of the most time consuming tasks is involved with changing and updating slide notes. I was intrigued by the Speech Management dialogue window. In this window you can view all the slides notes for the entire project. However, this is the only plus for my workflow. I can't resize the window, and the text styling tools are missing. For my workflow, I need to be able to select all the TTS notes and style them in one operation. I also need to remove bold from the properties of closed captions, if present. If

Hi Community,I am trying to publish my unresponsive HTML website in landscape version. The issue is the fonts that are suppposed to be smaller become very small when switched to lanscape mode. Is there anyway we can edit the text published via captivate. PS: I have tried using jQuery but the text is an aria-label and force styling using !important also doesn't seem to affect the font size.In the attached screenshot I want to increase the size of the text below the orange text.

Hi, I'm using Captivate 2019. I want to have 2 Text Entry Boxes on one slide, and I will publish to HTML5. There is no validation required. Text entered is assigned a variable for recall on another slide. Trouble is I can only enter text in one box. The other box isn't active.  Am I trying to do something that can't be done? It works fine in preview slides, but when I preview in HTML5, it doesn't work. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi All - So my problem is that when a Captivate asset is in an iFrame on a web page, it steals the focus from the page. I have to manually go into the CPM.jp file and remove two instances of this: a&&a.focus() and one instance of this: document.getElementById("playImage").focus(); Is there any other way to fix this issue other than this? Thanks!mthaddeusm

When does Captivate plan to discontinue the use of flash-based features/interactive elements?

Hi! So when I've creating the results page, everything looks fine (greeen background and white text) however when I preview the project, the background is green and so it the text. I managed somehow to make the first line work, but I have no idea why the rest doesn't.  Help?
