Captivate

I am reliant on another team to load my Adobe Captivate lessons to the corporate Learning Management System (LMS).  This is problematic when I want to quickly send lessons to my reviewers to get feedback as the LMS team can take up to 10 days to respond to my requests. I have, in the past, used an Amazon Web Server (AWS) site to host lessons and that has worked perfectly. My current project is likely to require hundreds of lessons which means the AWS option is going to get costly. Does anyone know,:1. Can Captivate lessons be hosted on a Raspberry Pi?2. What are the software requirements for the Pi server?3. Is there a simple, step by step guide that shows how to create the Pi server with access beyong my own home network? I'm a content developer, not a technologist, so replies with strings of acronyms will be lost of me 🙂 (I currently have a Raspberry Pi 5, 64bit, 16GB)

Hi, I've designed a course that has videos created by me and a video linked from the web to YouTube. I previewed the course in Captivate on Desktop and Mobile (Tablet as well but it doesn't show navigation buttons so I have paused on figuring out that issue!).  I tested the course in SCORM Cloud - all is good. I published the course (SCORM 1.2) and it's now in our LMS. Functionality on desktop is great - all as expected. On mobile, however, when I get to the sllide with the embedded YouTueb video - I see the video and the PLAY button, but there's no interacting with it. I can't proceed to watch the video and because moving ahead is contingent on this step - I'm unable to progress and complete the course!!  Anyone know where to even begin to look for the issue and determine a solution?

the window it works from within is only about 4 x 3 inches. won't let me maximize. installed on surface pro, 64 bit - screen resolution 2160 x 1440. Is this normal? It is too small to read and I would need a magnifying glass to operate it.As well, the maximize button in the window is not highlighted, maximizing is not an option.

I just had Captivate Classic installed on a new laptop and it's up-to-date (v. 11.8.3). Since the installation, I can't find slide transitions in the Timing panel.  I'm working on a Blank project, and have never had a problem seeing the transition before.  Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Good day.  I frequently get the LMS preview error in Captivate 2019  "Failed to Preview in SCORM cloud."  I have cleared cache in both my Temp folder and Adobe Cache folder and have also checked for spaces on  any Advanced Interaction names.  Any suggestions on how to resolve this please? 

I've had no luck in importing even a single file or slide from PowerPoint 2019 to Captivate 2019. I've been unable to find any advice that works. Does this feature actually exist?When I've tried today to import, I get one of these three outcomes every time:1: Unable to import Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. The file may be damaged.2: Unable to open Microsoft Powerpoint...for editing. Check file permissions3: Cannot import the selected file Refer to the documentation to ensure you have installed the correct version of Microsoft office.  Even the most basic file like a blank presentation with the work 'Hi' as the only content doesn't work. 

Hi,I recorder a simulation project with a personalize desktop size. I need to generate the project in tablet output. I just generated it, but it doesn´t  adapt responsively.  What I must configurate to work properly?Thank you 

Hi,I have a problem. I have one slide and after it I have a simulation project. I can´t define an automatic transition beetween the slide and the simulation. Is it possible? I can´t find the way to do it.Thanks you

I am currently working on a project using Adobe Captivate 12.5 and have encountered a few issues that I would appreciate your assistance.  This is my first serious captivate project. Here's a description of one issue I encountered and it has been frustrating:I created flip cards using an image grid as a workaround to upload narration since the audio option is not available in the flip card widget.The cards flip when the images are clicked, and I have applied the inbuilt image filters for state changes.Three flip cards were created using the same settings: the default state is set to "Normal Image," while the hover state is set to "Overlay Image."However, only one card functions correctly—its hover state is visible when hovered over. The other two do not display their hover states despite having the same configuration.I have double-checked that the hover state is active for all three objects.  

Hi.In Captivate 12.4.0.20 (not classic), At the bottom of each slide I have set up previous and next buttons, but I have a problem: I don’t want to have a transition effect (like slide, flip, etc.), so I choose “None”, but by doing so, the slides that the buttons go to, does not start in top position.I would very much like the slides to start on top, without using the transition effects. Anyone have a working solution for this? Thanks.Ben

Hello,I have recently had the problem where the "HTML5 in Browser" preview does not work. All I get is the "loading" animation.  I have tried several different projects using both Chrome and Firefox.Preview "In Browser" works fine.Let me know if you have any ideas!Thank you.Ryan

I've set my preferences to play 5 slides when I want to quickly preview an edit. However when I select Play Slide I only get the slide that I am on playing. How can I quickly preview my next 5 slides or whatever setting I set in Preferences? I haven't used Captivate in four years ... has this function been removed/changed? Thanks for any help!

Hi everyone,  I am working on a quiz within Adobe Captivate. On the file, it clearly shows Quextion X out of 12, which I want the person to see, but then when I preview it Browser, the progress doesn't show.  I checked my settings and everything seems to be ticked off correctly.  Anybody know why ? 

Coming from Storyline 360 where I can just insert a character and a video on a slide next to each other I am not seeing a way to do this in Captivate 12. I know its possible by adding an additonal block, but am wanting to combine these two things into a single block. Other then creating a new design option and creating/edit JSON is there no other way?  TIA

Hi, Recently I downloaded to new captivate v 12.5.0.35 and tried the software simulations but it's imposible to use. First,  I tried to use the application window mode but it became totally white and unsusable when selected, this happened each time I tried (sreenshot attached). I figured that I would need to use the other available options but no matter which I choose, at the end of the recordingthe program crashes and an announcement that Adobe Captivate quit unexpectedly appears and the error report (which I attached here). Any have good advice of how can I make this work? I'm a Mac user (Sequoia 15.3). Thanks ins advance  

I'm trying to showcase some of my work from the new Adobe Captivate in Adobe Portfolio, but I'm having trouble. How can I find the URL link for my Captivate file to be able to link it to the Portfolio?

I am designing a course on the all new Captivate -12.4 version. I have the menu page centralized in the course in a way that the learner needs to go back to this page evrytime he completes a module, till all modules are done to have the test button appear. The voice plays everytime the participant returns to this menu slide. How do I have the voice naration played once only?Any ideas please? 

I have a 10 question at the end of the course, and when I preview the project, the preview freezes after q2 and doesn't advance after I click the submit button. It happens once more on Q8 . Any ideas to resolve this ?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this same issue - I've noticed that sometimes when I preview/review a file with timed animations (intended to appear on-time with voice-over audio attached to the slide), the animations appear severely delayed compared to what I set in the timeline - in some cases, long after the VO has completely ended and the slide end should have passed.  Sometimes if I move the animation timing back and forth a couple of times in the timeline and reset the preview/review, it will fix itself. But not always - and even more concerning, sometimes when I get it fixed and send the review off to a co-worker, they report back that they are not seeing the animations appear in the same review link where I just witnessed it working fine. The randomness is frustrating and makes it difficult to pinpoint the reason behind this issue. I am currently working on a project using Adobe Captivate 12.5 and have encountered a few issues that I would appreciate your assistance in resolving: My project includes blocks using timeline narration (text-to-speech with captions) and blocks with attached audio (without captions).Mixing these two narration types has caused some issues.Specifically, I sometimes need to insert a gap between two captions in the timeline, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to do this.Is there a way to introduce spacing between captions in the timeline to improve readability and pacing?  

I am currently working on a project using Adobe Captivate 12.5 and have encountered a few issues that I would appreciate your assistance on. this is my first Captivae project, and here's one of the issues I encountered: I hid blocks on publish and set them to progressively appear once the previous block has finished playing.When a block becomes visible, I want to animate the text using the "Typewriter" entrance animation.Since the built-in interactions only include emphasis animations, I manually added entrance animations for the text.This method worked for some blocks but did not work for others, even though I ensured the settings were consistent across all blocks.Is there a known issue with text entrance animations when used in this way, or is there a recommended approach to make them work consistently? 

I am currently working on a project using Adobe Captivate 12.5 and have encountered a few issues that I would appreciate your assistance on. this is my first Captivae project, and here's one of the issues I encountered:I created flip cards using an image grid as a workaround to upload narration since the audio option is not available in the flip card widget.I applied the "Typewriter (By Word)" entrance animation to text inside the flip cards.The animation works fine under normal circumstances.However, if a user clicks another flip card before the first card's text animation completes, then revisits the original card, the animation stops at the same point where it was previously interrupted.The only way to reset the animation is by resuming the timeline. (Note: The timeline is paused when a flip card is clicked.)I would like to know if there is a way to ensure the animation always restarts properly when revisiting the card.
