Captivate

I just created a text box in Captivate 2019. A simple text box and typed some text, it scrolled till the end.I want it to word-wrap the text box to fit into my pane. However, there seems to be no feature for this!! I seems like I can't word-wrap text in a simple text box !! The properties of this text box have every other feature under the sun from x co-ordinate to y co-ordinate to locking positions and even adding a shadow !! Yet either I don't see this basic feature (word-wrap) there. Is it hiding somewhere I can't see?  

So I am attempting to republish a project after making some minor edits.  I've never had a problem publishing this file before.  But it's stuck on the below image when I try to publish as HTML5...which I've published to before with this same file.  It will publish to SWF, but I don't want to use flash.  I have tried the following: 1. Renaming the file with no spaces and publishing - I get the same result2. Renaming the file with spaces and publishing - I get the same result3. Having adobe media encoder open while publishing - while adobe media encoder does indeed encode the video that's within this file, it still does not publish.   I have scoured this forum for an answer, but can't seem to find anything that works.  Any ideas?  

Hi all,I can't seem to locate any emoji's on Adobe Captivate 2019. Am I missing something? There are shapes and squares but cannot find their emoji's anywhere, neither on search nor on the assets.Anyone knows if its even available?RegardsMario 

I downloaded the free trial version of Captivate on my Mac. I created a project and my work loved it. I ask for the paid license key and my work bought it for me to use on my work HP laptop. The project I created through the free version has expired, I have been trying to open the project file from the free version in my paid version on my work laptop but I keep getting an error that Captivate could not open the file. Does anyone know a workaround?Do I need to go back to my free version of Captivate and pay for a month to export the file and then open the file in my paid for by work version of Captivate? Would that work?Is there any other way to get the file to open? I am looking to republish the project through my paid Captivate version so I can keep the project long term. 

Hello all,I have the latest Captivate 2019 installed. I tried recording audip snippets. Using a headset. The background sound clears it quite well. However every audio snipet I record for each slide seems to increase my volumne gradually till the end of the slide !! There is no setting anywhere to undo this.I have played with varying bitrates but I still get this increase in volume. I do not have a license for Adobe Audition, but I am sure this setting can be handled somewhere. RegardsM.

Hi all,I want to create an animation that allows me to morph an image from one form to another.The starting image has 12 objects, the end image should have 20 objects where there has to be some movement as part of the animation where opbects get created and moved to their final positions on the screen.   Is there a feature in Captivate for this? I see a lot of animation stuff but doesnt really seem that it has this functionality.regardsMario 

My short video will help you finally get rid of the annoying grey button that we have been facing since the release of Adobe Captivate 2019. A really simple way of adding just one extra line after publishing.              

I'm new at Captivate so your help is appreciated. 

I created a 50 slide module in Captivate 2019 working in the latest version and on Windows.  I somehow deleted a slide and this threw off my audio recording to slides by just one slide.  So after my 9th slide my pre-recorded audio does not match the image on the slide, which is often just a blank slide as I have not finished my project with images yet.  How can I fix this? I know there is a simple solution other than re- recording all the audio.

I'm using the Captivate mulit-scorm packager with the 2004 SCORM standard, (to force sequence).  I'm using the Simple Remediation template with a post-test.  The course has 16 SCOs and the Assessment as the post-test.  All were published and zipped in Captivate with 2004 standard, 4th edition.  The new course organized into one module with multiple SCOs and the post-test.  My question is that when I published the muli-scorm package, it created a "CourseModule159" folder that duplicated every file and folder from my original individual zipped published content.  So instead of having 3500 or so files to upload to my LMS, I now have over 7000 files.  This doesn't seem like normal behavior.  Anyone have any experience with this or know why CourseModule159 was created?

Hi, Have any companies been successful in getting their desktop courses to be mobile friendly? When I switch to the different views they are drastically different. For example on desktop it looks fine but then on mobile the text is too big to see. If I design in mobile first I have the opposite problem where the text size is fine in mobile but way too small in desktop.  Can I see anyone's examples of a successful course using mobile and/or a good tutorial to use?Thanks!

Greetings all, thanks in advance for any help / insight on this.  The Scenario: We have 200+ published Captivate 9 tutorials that were all published as BOTH HTML5 / SWF in AICC format. I'm not sure how relevant AICC vs SCORM is on this, but our LMS requires AICC.  When we launch the course through our LMS (Oracle's Taleo) it launches the swf file consistently. The Goal:We WANT to be able to tweak the already exported files so that they route directly to the HTML5 version of the files published in the same directory WITHOUT having to re-export all of these 200+ individual courses.  I'm familair with HTML and some basic javascript but when I try to follow what's going on with these files from the index.html file I get lost.  Thoughts? Suggestions? I've included a screen shot of the output files from one of our projects.  

I know it's not supported any longer, but I have a license key for Captivate 9 and I can't find a download to reinstall it on my new computer. I'm in the middle of a training and can't finish it...

I wonder if someone can help me? I have put together a project that has a 360 slide in it that works perfectly apart from on an iPad and Mobile phone. You can scroll around the 360 room but you cant click any of the hotsposts which is annoying as you are then stuck on that slide if you are using one of these devices. Is there a way of making hostpots work on a mobile or iPad? It wont even let me add a next slide button for those who get stuck. Any help or pointers would be greatfully received.

So I purchased Captivate about 2 weeks ago. Ever since I paid I have been having trouble with accessing the Adobe eLearning support forums. Captivate crashes every time I select 'Adobe eLearning Community' from the 'Help' menu item in the top navigation. When I was using the trail version it was working fine. This is slowing my progress down and making it difficult to find support. Please advise ASAP! 

I am using Captivate 2019. I tried to create a Knowledge Slide for the first time. Great features onserved on all video's !! Baam !! The side ipened with 2 answers and other options but NO Question pane !! Where am I supposed to enter the questions !!@@  The screen below was what I got, after tuning the answers to 4. There was NO Question pane. None was retriavable anywhere on the slide or any other slide!! Where am I supposed to write the questions !! Nothing in the properties nor in the quiz tab in the side !!   Anyone knowss whats going on in this expensive piece of software I paid for?

I'm a first-time user of Captivate Reviewer 2019. I use to share my project with my coworkers for review on SCORM Cloud, but I want  my coworkers to be able to comment on a specific time/slide. However, when I viewed the CREV file on Captivate Reviewer, some contents were missing. It couldn't show some images, some fluid boxes, and some video recordings, and a multi-state image and its corresponding buttons. Adobe AIR was installed on the computer. I uploaded the published zip file of the same project to SCORM Cloud, and it worked fine. Did anyone encounter the same issue and fix it?  

Hi, I have installed neo speech and captivate 2017 but captivate is not detecting it. tried reinstall selected preference still no luck.

My Captivate 2019 project quits, when I click on the slide with the message: Thank you for exiting the content. You may now navigate away from this content.  If I click on the click boxes, it works, e.g. it goes to the next slide. I do not want, that the project quits, when the user clicks on the slide, but on the click boxes. The basis of the slides was an import from Powerpoint and in some areas on the slides, i used click boxes. Any help?

This has been an issue for as long as I can remember ... anyone figure out how to shrink a bloated cptx file *without* having to copy out all of the slides to a new project?I just did the following test: [Cp 2019 11.5.1.499 on Win10 64 bit]File 1 is 505Mb (about 70 slides)- delete all audio and video and most images from the library- save file and closed CpFile 1 is now 200Mb- Copy all slides and paste in to NEW project --> File 2- save File 2 and close CpFile 2 is 5Mb Clearly Cp is holding onto a lot of stuff even though its library is mostly bare. Closed captioning is displayed when I preview my project, but when I publish it you can see the area for closed captioning with nothing in it except the "x" to close.  Thank you for the help.

Is there an easy way to identify is a project is being shown from Preview or from being Published?E.g. a global variable that indicates this automatically.I want to determine this in order to adjust path references that are to be different if Published or run as a Preview.

Can you upload Adobe Captivate projects to Vimeo or youtube? If so how?  Thankyou!
