Hi All!Captivate Build: 11.5.5.5553 I have a 7:30 minute MP4 file placed as a slide video. I have added closed captioning using "Edit Video Timing", the script is coming from a Word file. (Yes, did not bother to copy out as an ASCII file which may explain another issue.)As the video playback progresses, the CC gets more and more out of synch. I don't have this problem with audio as a separate file, but this issue has surfaced in the past using MP4 files. But I don't remember how (or if) I resolved this time slippage.  I do recall in the past spending a large amount of time resetting the CC flags, but the CC would still slip. I _could_ I guess split out the video and the audio as two separate files but then I am concerned about losing voice synch. Next question is, my CC text color is not changing. I prefer white text on a black background, and while the CC options will change the background, and I can _resize_ the text, the _color_ of the text does not cha

HiIve been working on a project for some weeks now. All of a sudden captivate classic decided to hide all my objects that have an effect on them.I see some other people have had the same effect and turned to javascript for a solution.Is their a fix to this bug?

I'm using the new Captivate. I have a bookmark set to pause the timeline, but the main slide audio keeps playing. I need to use the main slide audio because that is the audio that has closed-captions. Does anybody know how to make the bookmark pause the main slide audio as well?

Is there a way to customise the style for XPNote in Adobe Captivate. My client has requested a colour scheme that is not covered by the default XPNotes styles. I suspect there maybe a script that can be used to manipulate the colours. Thanks

Right now in Table of content of Adobe Captivate 12.3 version, we can jump to the any slide using TOC. Is there way we can disable the clicking on slide names of TOC until we visit previous slides. Or is there we can create over custom TOC menu like TOC in Adobe Captivate 12.3 version.

I've made a nice menu system in new Captivate, and it works nicely... (Granted I've got 20 conditional Interactions on the entrance to my menu). Except for one of my variables seems to be duplicating itself every time the page is run.I can't find any Interaction causing this (I can't find a way to do this in Interactions!) but I've now got 40 copies of my variable. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Audio with Captivate 12.3 is sometimes audible and sometimes not: Windows:Firefox:   yesChrome:   yesEdge:   yes macOS:Firefox:   yesChrome:   noSafari:   no It does not make a difference in which way I added the audio. Sometimes I added an MP3 to a slide so that it should play automatically when the user navigates to the slide. Other times I added a button with a Play Media interaction and an uploaded MP3 so that the audio should play after the button has been pressed. Does anyone have the same problem?

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.  I've been trying to create a memory game and I keep running into issues with the code/logic for resetting after an incorrect match.  I read this post https://blog.lilybiri.com/memory-game-setup-version-2021 and followed the directions but the cpCmndGoToFrameAndResume didn't seem to reset anything. The cards turned over and never turned back. I've read so many blog posts and tried many different variations but couldn't figure out a fix.  So I tried another way and this one is also *almost* working.  Everything is fine when you don't get a match - the cards show the back and then turn over.  And the 1st time you get a match, it works as expected - the cards show the back and then disappear.  But after the 1st match it breaks. The cards will still flip to the back but they never turn back over or disappear - whether the match is correct or not.  Here is an example of

Hi, I have recently installed Adobe captivate 12.3 version. I want to know is there way that we can import pdf or directly display PDFs on slides in 12.3 version as Web Object feature is not available in this version. Also I want know what is the slide resolution or slide size of the project created using 12.3 version. How I can find out the size/resolution of the project.

I am creating a final quiz project. A test project has been set up in a blank project format using the default MCA slides. An intro slide  has been added with a button to start the quiz. The student is to use the "Submit All" button on the slide of the last question to submit all their MC answers. The "back" and "next" buttons are available so the student can review and check their answers prior to using the "Submit All" button that is on the last question slide. When published to HTML5, the quiz functions as expected except, when the "back" and "next" buttons are used to cycle through the questions prior using the  "Submit All" button, the selected answer on the last question slide (with the "Submit All" button) is cleared and has to be selected again.  I have used Safari and Firefox to publish the test quiz,  both return the same error Your help and guidance please Bob 

I belive that my adobe captivate project has become corrupt I am using Captivate Classic on Windows 10. I haveCleared the CacheUnticked Show Playback ControlTried to upload to Adobe cloud LMS - upload failedPerformed Utils CleanpreferenceswinPut one of the slides from the project I am having issues with into a new project with same dimentions and it still will not preview or open published index html fileI have the circle of death - will not loadPlease respond in very simplistic ways as I am not an IT expertThank you in advance

I read a discussion post from 2 years ago that you can NOT publish an entire mp4 video project with closed captions unless you add a smart shape to each slide with CC on it. Has anything changed?I tried with Captivate 2019 and didn't have luck but maybe I missed something?Thanks.

I have a slide with tabs, each tab needs to have text to speech audio attached to it that starts when selected and stopped when a different tab is selected, which will in turn start that tabs audio.For example in case it isn't clear: When on Tab 1, I would need audio to start and stop that addresses the content on that tab. When selecting perhaps Tab 3, the audio would from Tab 1 would need to be stopped and it would need to then jump to the audio with Tab 3.  Is it possible to have each of these 5 tabs on a single slide have indiviudal audio sections attached to it? Right now the audio just goes on speaking Tabs 1-5, no matter what slide is selected.  Thanks!

Quiero condicionar un boton para que te permita pasar a la siguiente con la condición de que ya hayas reproducido completo el contenido. Alguien sabe ¿cómo puedo hacer esto en la nueva versión de Captivate? Saludos! 

Al momento de crear un proyecto nuevo o al abrir cualquier archivo en captivate la pantalla en la que se visualiza la mesa de trabajo se pasa automaticamente a la esquina, haciendo casi imposible editar y trabajar el documento, parte de la slide queda cubierta por el borde negro de la interfaz, ya instale el programa por segunda ves pero quedo igual nose que pueda ser. estoy en una macOS Sonoma 14.5

I want to add Page peel effect to all the slides. But the peel effect is not available in the Timings panel. Can anyone help to achieve this? Thanks in advance!

I need to import corporate images ans other images to Captivate Version 12.2.0.19. I cannot find any way to do that.

Well - new software - new challenges.That includes a newly redesigned play button screen.Those of you who are eager to jump on board with the newly redesigned version of Captivate but failed to appreciate the forced play button screen in Captivate Classic - will find it has resurfaced and here is one way to get past it in the new 2023 version.I am guessing there may be a much more elegant way to accomplish this - and if I discover it - I will certainly share. Until then, this is what I have.  As far as I know at this stage of the game - we will need to do this twice. Once for previewing and once for publishing projects. You will need admin rights to save the changes. **Please be careful making these types of modifications - you could break your install. Does anyone know how to paste text and have it match the current formatting? I have been doing it fine until today.Normally, I would copy text from a Word document and when I pasted the text onto a slide in Captivate, the text would match the formatting on the slide.  Now, when I paste, the text keeps the formatting from the Word document.I don't know why that setting changed but it would be REALLY helpful to get it back.Any ideas?

I created a E-Learning with questions on CPT and posted in on my LMS (Talentsoft).The E-Learning is working and i have set the Exit Button via Java Script with the code SCORM_CallLMSFinish(); When i click on the button the e-learning is closing but it stills appears as ongoing and not as finished on the LMS, even if all questions have been answerd correctly. And when I try to redo it, when I am on the last slide, the e-learning shuts down automatically without any clicking.Can you please tell me what I have done wrong?KRYves

I am looking for instructions on how to make text to speech a selection when I am selecting the audio functionality as part of a project. I have downloaded the text to speech packageI am selecting the text in my project and do not have the option for text to speech What am I missing any troubleshooting steps? I am using the most recent version of Captivate. 

Hello, I am using Captivate 2019. I have a problem. When importing quiz questions in CSV format in languages other than English, such as Russian or Korean, the font appears corrupted and the quiz questions are not displayed correctly. I believe this is a font issue, but no matter how much I search, I cannot find a way to change the font after importing the CSV file. In this situation, changing the font does not correct the text. Is there a way to change the default font to another font entirely?

Trying to publish a Captivate Classic project in mp4 format. From the Publish dropdown, select Publish to Computer. From the Publish as dropdown, select Video. Click Publish, get the following error: "Swf compilation failed. Note: Please verify if any of the actionscript is used as user variable name."
