Hi there,I don't suppose there's a way to make the List Box Learning Interaction respond to changes to the value of it's associated variable, in that it would automatically scroll to the new value and apply the selected state, once the value is changed from outside the widget, is there?DropDown Interaction seems to reflect external variable value changes just fine, but List Box Interaction doesn't. Or am I missing something?

Hi,I have a project which is converted to responsive design,I exported the document to pdf and flash before conversion. After conversion and did some changes in my responsive design, I come to notice that when I export to SCORM the zipped folder comes with pdf and swf in it,which seems that the old settings before conversion are still there. I have tried to upload but didn't work the file was blocked by chrome,I have tried in Mozilla the file requested flash player but after enabling the file didn't play.Now, I'm looking for the solution to disable pdf and swf export in my captivate 2017. Please see attachments of my exported folder and export window.

I've created my Jeopardy widget to add to my Captivate file.  I'm not seeing an "OK" button to add to the file; previously I clicked "OK" and it worked.  Now, whenever I click outside of the widget, nothing happens - the widget is basically stuck on the page. Therefore, I can't change resolution, maximize screen, nothing works. Please help! I've included a screen shot.

Hello All,The main objective is to share the e-learning videos incorporated in the docs. So, I am looking out for the option to embed video in DITA.Is it possible to embed Adobe Captivate HTML/SWF output file to DITA? If it is possible, then please outline the steps. By doing some research I got to know that we can add Video, Audio, and Embedded HTML Resources in DITA Topics. For now I am thinking to create the courses, and publish them as a video. Then embed the video to Dita topics. Please suggest if my thought process is correct and I would be able to achieve the desired objective.Looking forward to some quick suggestions.Thanks,Parichaya

I'm working on a Captivate project and unfortunately it needs to be published as a .swf file (still haven't completely converted everything over to HTML). I have created multiple interactions in Animate before and exported them as .oam files to be used in my Captivate projects, so I'm familiar with the workflow, but my other Captivate projects were all exported as HTML. In those instances, all the communication between my .oam files and Captivate works well (things such as jumping around slides, etc.) In my current project though, when I publish it out as .swf and test it in Internet Explorer, the .oam files show up, but none of the interactivity to Captivate is working. Does anyone have any insight into this? Is there a way to set the width of a LeftToRight effect on an object?I have an object that moves 200px to the right from the starting position on every device. However when the project resizes the LeftToRight effect distance resizes based off a percentage, I think, as well.The object that has the effect is set to an exact size of 12px X 12px.

The project plays fine until the slide where there is a link to open a word document in a different window.  If you open the link  then come back to the CP9 project the project will not advance.  The playbar doesn't show a play arrow like it normally does when you pause a project.  This project ignores  the forward arrow and table of contents to move forward.  If you don't open the MS Word document link then the forward arrow works but there still isn't a play arrow on the play bar.  This is being hosted on a web server.Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi everyone,I need some help.I have published a course from captivate 6 to SCORM 1.2. When I run it within the LMS every attempt just overwrites the previous attempt and the attempt number is always just set to 1 no matter how many times I re-attempt the course.  What it should do is update the attempt based on the number of times you launch the course.I have had a hunt around and found someone with my exact same problem (Different authoring tool. same LMS)Attempts not recording to LMSThe issue seems to be around:var DEFAULT_EXIT_TYPE = EXIT_TYPE_SUSPEND;  in Configuration.js to:var DEFAULT_EXIT_TYPE = EXIT_TYPE_UNLOAD;Would anyone know how I could make captivate report EXIT_TYPE_UNLOAD.I am happy to update the exported scormdriver.js file. Just not sure what I need to change.If anyone has some advice it would be most appreciated,Thanks,Kevin

Using macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.5 on a Mac Pro (2013) with Adobe Captivate 10.0.1.285, and also tested on a Windows 10 Pro version 1709 OS: 16299.547 with Adobe Captivate 2019.Having a weird little problem that I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for. In Captivate, I have a project with several PDF's that I've loaded into a web server and then I'm inserting the link as a web address in a web object. The PDFs look great in preview until I try to apply an action to it. If it's hidden upon entering the slide and I use a button to reveal it, the PDF is now zoomed way out. I have to click the zoom button within the web object to view it. This doesn't happen in Internet Explorer on my PC, but it happens in Safari and Chrome on my mac and in chrome on the PC. If I uncheck autoload then use a button to reveal the hidden web object (then click to load the PDF), the PDF files look okay and are the proper size, but I'd prefer that they autoload. Any ideas? Any more info needed?

I have several PDF documents that I need to set up in Adobe Captivate 2017.  I do not see a way to import these into a Responsive Project. Thank you,Terri

Hi, I'd be extremely grateful if someone is able to help with the following challenge please:I have a module that takes the user between 35 - 50 minutes to complete (2 branches).  If they get to the end of the module and have failed the quiz, this isn't considered 'successfully completed', so there is no way for them to get back to the beginning of the course. Obviously, if they successfully completed and wanted to take the module again in the future as a refresher, this would be fine, as Captivate is sending them to the beginning based on 'successful completion'.Is there a way around this?  I've seen various posts about it, some talking about 'Advanced actions and Shared actions' but none of it is very clear exactly how to go about this in the best way. They also generally refer to SCORM. I'm using xAPI and publishing as HTML5.Any help with this would be really appreciated!Thanks, Lee

I upgraded to Captivate 2019.  I installed the new Adobe voices for 2019, but it's not recognizing the html for the pauses.  Instead, it just reads them "vtml break level 2".  Any suggestions on how to correct this?KM

A few weeks ago we were experiencing problems with CC and Audio disappearing part way through a project.  Our server is JSON enabled unless the server folks change something without telling us.  However, this issue has shown up again but this time its happening when the project is published to a folder not on a server.   When playing the published project from the folder the CC and Audio plays for the first 31 slides.  Then no CC or audio for the following slides. Another thing is that this project is from a imported MS Powerpoint presentation.  Last time we had this issue someone mentioned that Word sometimes threw in code that CP9 didn't deal well with and to copy the CC to Notepad then bring it back into CP9.

Hi all,A client of mine wants me to produce a custom quiz in Captivate. This would consist of True and False questions,Fill in the Blank, Drag and Drop etc. As we know, once you click Submit, you would get some feedback (in textual)format depending on whether or not you have answered correctly or not. However, is it possible to add some extra functionality (maybe via the Advanced Actions capability) where an image (as a layer previously hidden etc) appears if you get the right answer and a different image appears if you get the wrong answer. Could we do this with the conditional actions in the Advanced Actions panel?I was thinking either a graphic of a Tick or a Cross could either appear depending on the answer given once the userclicks Submit. This one is confounding me and my team.We've recently encountered a problem where our SCORM project won't upload to our LMS, and we're 99.9% sure that the culprit is an MP4 that we've embedded onto a slide.I say 99.9% sure because here's what we've encountered...Other Captivate SCORM files that do not include MP4s are uploading to our LMS with no problem.Other MP4 files (for example, ones created in Camtasia) are also uploading to our LMS with no problem.We've done this in the past with Captivate, and it's worked with no problem. It's probably been about 6 months since we tried it, but it worked fine.I suppose it could be something else, but considering that other Captivate SCORM projects as well as SCORM mp4s are4 working, I'm lead to believe that the MP4 is the issue.

Good morning to all,I'm using CP2017I have the following issue:Different smart shapes, which are used as buttons on 2 different slides get automatically assigned with the same advanced action.If I assigned to one button in slide 1 a advanced action, the button on slide 2 automatically get assigned the same advanced action.Both smart shapes (aka Buttons) have a different name and also the slides have  different name and as well the advanced actions.Hope someone can help

Hi all, nice to meet all those 2019ers.I have a question that may well be the dumbest question ever posted but here goes.I am looking to create a VR course but I do not wish to use any of the background images that come with captivate, I wish to manufacture my own graphic which seems to be some peculiar version of "jpg".I may take an existing 360 jpg and edit it or if possible I would like to create my own jpg with text and images that will form part of the design of the course. I will then place the various assets on the screen at the appropriate place.I am unable to work out so far whether this is a Captivate 2019 related issue or whether it is a 360 graphic issue. Is there software designed for the making of such images etc.I am continuing to investigate but if anyone can help with information or links I would appreciate it.Thanks

I used Captivate 2017 Learning Interaction gadget in two slides. I am not able to view the html5 output in chrome browser. But It is working in firefox browser.

Hello: I am building a series of screens that have individual photos of 12 people - one per screen - up in the upper left corner. I liked where one of them was going, so I made it an informal template, stripping out the text but leaving all objects, and pasting it in where I needed it.I finished one using the template and went to delete the photo that had come over when I copied the original. I can't select it. It does not appear on the master slide. It does not appear anywhere I've looked. Where is it? How do I get rid of it? I can always start over and rebuild the template, but I would like to know where the blasted thing went - and why.Thanks -Anne

Hi, I'm using Captivate 2017 and would like to try Advanced Answer, however, it is not showing for MCQ with Single Answer.This is the only option showing when I select any of the answers whether it is correct or incorrect. Thanks in advance!

I have a small 5 slide course that opens in every browser, except IE. I am using Captivate 2017 to export the HTML5 file. I narrowed the issue down by removing other slides, and have concluded that when I remove all slides that have a "On Enter - Hide Popup" (Which is just a shape layer, 2 buttons and text) the course loads just fine. I assume its maybe a JS error? Has anyone had the pleasure of dealing with this before?

What is the path to use when I install the assets for Captivate 2019? In other words, where should I create a folder for the assets when I un-zip the file I downloaded?Thanks.
