Captivate

This seems like an easy question, and because no one else has asked it yet I'm wondering if it's so easy that I just can't find it. Learners need 80% to pass the course, but I can't find the setting to make that happen. I'm in preferences>quizzing>reporting and can see Success/Completion Criteria = Slide views and/or Quiz, I see that Quiz is checked, I see that Quiz is passed is selected, I see Data to report is Quiz Score = Percentage, but I can't find where to set that percentage for passing as 80%?

Hi,Newbie to Captivate here.I'm trying to create an interactive model to our company website, where the users can spin the 3D model however they like. I want to add hotspots on them that they can click and see text or images as well.I saw on a video how 360 pano images can be edited this way on captivate, but I'm not sure if we can do this to 3D assets as well?It's for a machine and we have it's solidworks file. Can I use captivate to edit it? What formats do I export it to from Solidworks to import it into Captivate?

Hello, I use the new Captivate since July 2023 and still have the same issue with fonts after publishing, despite the updates. I'm using a Mac, IOS Sonoma, and Captivate 12.2. The issue was the same on IOS Ventura.  I create a slide with different paragraphs, using on of my pre-defined styles (for example : "Corps 1" is font Arial, normal, 18 px).  Then I decide to put one word in bold in a paragraph (or underlined, or in color... ).  Please see an example below. When opening Captivate Classic I get a Boost_filesystem.dll error. We have reinstalled and it will work until closed and won't work on re-open. We have 3 machines doing the same thing.

I would like to choose from a 'pool' of questions for a quiz that I am creating in the new Captivate 12.2. Is this possible?

My company uses Enterprise accounts, and Adobe Captivate. Captivate is NOT part of Creative Cloud for pricing purposes, but it still requires a Creative Cloud login for license authentication and for fonts. All Adobe Captivate projects require us to enter the domain name where the project will be hosted.  I don't understand where this domain information lives -- doesn't seem to be anywhere in the published Captivate file -- and I'm worried about what happens when one of our instructional designers leaves the company.  Presumably their enterprise account will be deactivated, or archived, or something. At that point, would all the Adobe fonts in published, online projects revert to something ugly, like Times?  That's how standard Captivate license work.  But do Enterprise accounts work the same way?  If they do, we'll have to start keeping track of who published what, so a current employee can replublish an old employee's content.  This is a real p

I want to buy a 1-year license of Adobe Captivate 2023. What is the price?

HiI've been using the new Captivate to build an e-learning course. It includes quizzes and assessments. The course is approx 50 pages and includes lots of images. I have manually uploaded this the Adobe Learning Manager and the course runs but it takes over 2 minutes to load once launched and some of the buttons stop working half way through so the learner has to close the course and relaunch it to move forward. I have struggled to upload the course successfully to another LMS so far. So my ask is - how do I improve the learner experience if I continue to use Adobe Learning Manager (is it an issue with how I've published the Captivate file or just slow because of the size of the course?) Or are there any better LMS options out there that would work better than Adobe with a large scorn file? Thank you 

Dear community,we have Adobe Captivate courses in our LMS (SuccessFactors LMS), that were created by an external content provider. When the courses are opened in an iframe (and not in a new browser tab/window), the exit-button behaves fine (with the typical message that you can now navigate away from the page) as long as the user accessed the LMS directly (via browser favorites or a direct link in an e-mail for example).But when the user was redirected from another page  (in our case it is a general HR page with different HR apps listed via embedded URL on action button), the exit-button in the e-learning will close the whole browser tab of SF LMS. This is unfortunately often leading to the learners losing their progress.Do you know what could be causing this behavior and what we could tell the provider to avoid it from happening?Many thanks for your help!Best regards,Halina

I was working on capturing the new simulation. After clicking on the click box appearance setting -> text option, the application got hanged and I had to close the app forcefully. Same issue popped out even after trying for 5 to 6 times.I loved how the Captivate classic version was It was so handy to me. how to go back to the classic version?Thanks,Venky

Hi everyone, I just downloaded the free trial of Adobe Captivate to create a 360° Project. However, I do not have the option, the interface I have is different from all the tutorials I found ... (picture enclosed). Do you know if this is an issue due to the free trial version or is there something else I can do to test it ?  Thank you ! 

Hi there.Just wondering if there's any workaround for using rollover images when publishing to HTML5.I've also noticed that links and widgets don't always work correctly when publishing to HTML5. Will I just have to publish everything as SWF?Thanks.

Don't know if anyone has figured this out, but I found a way to create a rollover that works in HTML5. While the standard rollovers do not work in HTML5 and are pointed out in the HTML5 tracker, there does not appear to be any issue with using a Click Box and Hint. Just follow these steps:1. Create a click box.2. Under Properties/Actions/Display, uncheck Success and Failure (leave Hint checked). 3. Click on the text box and select the appropriate caption type. 4. Enter the desired text in the text box. 5. Place the click box over the area of the screen you wish to have a rollover.Now when you play the slide and roll your mouse over the click box, your rollover text will display and you won't see any issue in the HTML5 tracker.Enjoy!Darin

I have been working with a new captivate video with slides and demo only. When we publish it will go through about 28% and Captivate stalls. It shuts down or crashes. After several attempts (I am on version 7) it goes to 42%. We tested it by removing some of the demos and it would publish but some of the other videos would be blank in preview. My question is how can we determine if 1 or more of the videos are currupt? Below are my notes (4 1 hour video demos each) total course is 3 hours. Delete video 1 published, but wouldn't play video 3Deleted video 3 publishing stopped at 69%Deleted 1&3 and now video 4 will not play

Hi all! Long story short, I'm trying to increase the learner's score without increasing the quiz score maximum. I've tried adding a button with a point value, which increased the score when "Add To Total" was selected, but also increased the point maximum (so reflects poorly on learners who did not click what was supposed to be essentially "bonus" points). I also tried unchecking "Add To Total" like pictured below, but in that case the button doesn't grant any points whatsoever. It seemed like the best way to accomplish this was with some simple JavaScript, but the script I tried below doesn't work to change the score. I am reviewing my training via the webpage that opens when you click "preview" in the upper, right-hand corner. When each slide starts, it plays the first second of audio from the previous slide. I can't see any setting that may be causing this issue. It plays normally in the area where you edit audio. Does anyone have any ideas?I'm planning to upload my files tomorrow to AWS to share with a stakeholder, and I'm worried they will hear this issue!

Hi all, I've created several quizzes in Captivate and host them in courses on Adobe Learning Manager, however we encounter issues where quiz questions don't always load correctly. For example, the question itself or one or more multiple choice answers (or images if those are included in the quiz (although most of our quizzes don't have images)) may not be visible at all, which obviously complicates the learner's process of trying to determine and select the correct answer. We've gotten by with this bug so far and apologized to learners as we go, but management is wanting the data we get from these quizzes to be more reliable, and in it's current form it's not.  It's not something we've been able to replicate consistently; I have no clue what's triggering the image not to load. To provide additional context that I've seen requested in other posts here, I'm using Captivate 19 Version 11.5.5 (64 bit), and we use Adobe Learning Manager as our LMS. My company is migrating to a new LMS, which means we're changing the domain where our content is stored. To use Adobe Fonts, you have to specify the domain. I'm sure you can see what I'm facing -- we potentially have to open thousands of pieces of content, just to modify the domain names.  I thought I could write a script that would modify the published ZIP output (like maybe CPM.js) but I can't find where the domain information is stored in the published files.   What I tried: Created a Captivate file and set up a variable myVar = helloAdded %%myVar%% to the slide.Changed the font for the variable text to an Adobe font (Sundowner)Published the file, and used my personal domain (*.sharonh.com) as the domain for the Adobe fonts. After publish, I used a text utility to search the published files for sharonh.com as a fuzzy match, so it would find any instance of "sharonh" I can't think of what else to try.  I'm starting to think maybe this info

Hi,    I've just downloaded Capitivate on the free trial so I can try uploading a powerpoint I had previously prepared to turn it into a scorm file. However, there is no option to import from Powerpoint. It will only allow me to upload word documents! When I try from the buttons it also has no option from Powerpoint.   Please help!  

Is the Captivate trial limited? I don't see an actions panel or a way to add shapes, for example. I feel like I'm missing essential parts.

I created a project that I wanted to host on Thinkific. According to their website they support Adobe Captivate so long as it is not a SCORM file. Okay, I created and exported as html5 and recieved an error. After weeks of back and forth with their customer support they finally mentioned that the reason i'm getting an arror is because they don't support .svg files... Is there any way to remove those from the project? They appear to be default on any new project because I tried making a blank document and even that had .svg files in it! 

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone is having issues in the their LMS with a delay in how their courses are launching. I have two new courses that we're created in the new version of Captivate and when a user selects to launch from the LMS, there is anywhere from a 15 sec to 60 sec delay. A blank screen displays, then eventually the course loads. The course behaves as it should once available, but it takes a long time to load. We've never had this issue with our LMS loading courses before? I have tested in SCORM Cloud and they behave the same there, so my assumption is it's with the file? I thought maybe the size, but I have much larger files (video heavy) created in Captivate Classic, that have zero delay when launching. I've also tried to publish in both 1.2 and 2004 with no change.   Anyone else having this issue? Any thoughts as to why?  Thanks! 

Hallo Zusammen,kennt jemand das Problem? E-Learning wurde im LMS veröffentlicht, gestartet, kurz abgebrochen und wieder neu gestartet (also mit dem Lernen fortgefahren). Anschließend erscheinen, wie auf dem Bild zu sehen, überall "Nullen". Im Menu selbst, in der Überschrift.... Hat hier jemand eine Idee, woran es liegen könnte? Wurde mit Captivate classic erstellt. Danke für Eure Hilfe / Ideen.
