Captivate

I'm using Captivate 2019. I've noticed the drag and drop can only be accomplished by using the touchpad or a mouse on a Chromebook and not the touchscreen. It is extremely difficult for our 3th graders. (6 year) Also it is not working on the 86inch touchscreens in the classroom. Is there a solution?

Hi all.I have click-and-reveal-slides.You click the 1st button (smart shape), and a text (with connected aduio) and an image is shown, and the 2nd button appears.You click the 2nd button, and the previous text and image is hidden, and a new text and image is shown.There can be multiple buttons, and I'm using cpExtra to show and hide the slide elements and to change the states of the buttons and to show/hide them, so I don't have to use shared actions.  On enter, only the first button is visible. I want to guide the order the user click the buttons in. I also want a tick to show on the button, once it has been clicked. This way, the user can see what button has been clicked and not. I therefore have two buttons (btnNormal1_ and btnVisited1_), so that the tick can also show on the Hover state as well. Hello, I have created a responsive project in captivate. I have nearly completed the build and attempted to preview the project from the first slide but when I do the project loads indefinately. I have tried chrome vs edge browsers and continue to have the came issues. I have attempted to export the project and load it as a scorm package to my LMS and the project loads indefinately upon the launching from the LMS. I can sometimes get the project to preview the next 5 slides from within the project build, but not from the first few slides. Please help I need to turn in the project for a Masters degree course.

My team has spent countless hours trying to find a hack, fix, or solution to what we are currently experiencing. So, without further ado....**Scenario 1 (Issue - browser not closed)**User 1 logs into our LMS and launches a Captivate 9 (after April /May 2016 version) HTML5 course for the 1st time and watches 5 pages. User 1 then logs out, BUT they do not close the browser. User 2 logs in and launches the same course for the 1st time and the course pops up the Bookmark option to go where the left off. The issue is that User 2 should have been taken to page 1 without a popup. All browsers act the same way.**Scenario 2 (No Issue - browser closed)**The same as above, but User 1 shuts down the browser forcing User 2 to open a new browser session. User 2 does not experience the bookmark issue (clean slate).**Scenario 3 (No Issue - browser not closed or closed)**User 1 logs into our LMS and launches a Captivate 8 or 9 (pre April  2016 version) HTML5 course for the 1st time and watches 5 p

The JRE included with Captivate is version 11.41.24 on Captivate for macOS. The /Applications/Adobe Captivate 2019/jvm/jre/lib/jrt-fs.jar file is evidence of an active vulnerability, CVE-2021-3517 (NIST: CVE-2021-3517), which should be patched in the latest JRE (version 12+). When can we expect an update that addresses this vulnerability? Our SIEM has been detecting this vulnerability for months, and there has been no Adobe update to address it.

I've seen the posts similar to this from 2014, 2015, etc.  I have Captivate 2019.  I inherited the CPTX file in which the Continue button was transparent, positioned off the stage / slide, and unused / unpublished in the LMS.  I now need to enable the Continue button by changing the style and position on the quiz results slide.  It publishes fine, and the Continue button now appears at the end of the SCORM.  I also checked the Publish Settings > Quiz > Pass or Fail.  It is set to continue on pass and continue on fail.  And pass is required with multiple attempts allowed.  I checked the settings for the Continue button, and "Allow Mouse Click" is enabled, though shaded. However, in the LMS, the Continue button merely changes color / appearance on a down click but no action results from it as expected.  I also checked it in the Preview, and the same problem occurs.  I can click on it, but the Continue button has no impact.&nbsp

Hi, I'm using Adobe Captivate 19.Working for a global company, we need to prepare trainings in both English and German language. Therefore, I'm curious about the possibility/availability of German narration, as this is currently not an option in the list. Is it possible to download addditional package including voice for narration in German?Thank you very much for your help.

Hi folks,  this has probably been addressed but is there anyway to export a Captivate file to PPT format? Perhaps not necessarily with all the animations features, but at least to something that could be tweaked for use in the classsroom? I know we can import but is this a possibility? thanks in advance!!

Hi, Right now, our users access our published content only using standard PCs/laptops.  There is no use case where a mobile device would be used. Unless there's some funky reason not to, everyone I work with is assuming the responsive option is best as it allows for more future flexibility.  Is this an accurate assumption?  Or is there any performance difference between a responsive vs non-responsive published project?    

Hi all, I trust you're well. Sorry for the many questions to the community, but I am a new Captivate User. I have published SCORM files from Captivate to Module before and didn't have a problem. However, I might have to use KAYA soon. Is that some sort of rebranded Moodle? Is it a good place to host SCORM files from Captivate? I will mostly be working with non-responsive projects. Please let me know if you have any experience working with KAYA.

What do I need to purchase or do to make Adobe Fonts publish on my responsive project? I have activated the fonts in Adobe, and created a web project for them; however, when I attempt to publish my project the message below appears and I cannot publish the chosen fonts.

I have just updated to the latest version of Captivate and I'm eager to be able to use svg's as buttons now. I've loaded my svg onto my slide and set it to 'use as button' and gave it the action of 'go to previous slide' (it is my "back" button). However, when going from slide to slide, I notice the svg button disappears and reappears very quickly, making it look like the button does a quick flash on the load of each new slide.  My button is on my first slide and I have the timing set to "display for rest of project" and the "appear after" time is set to zero.  Here's a picture of my timeline -  Has anyone run into this issue? Thanks. 

I am currently working on a project for a client who needs to host the course in a webspace on the company's intranet. Since no LMS is involved, we currently opted to save the course via the self-paced learning option in the TOC settings enabled. Yes, I have deactivated the send data to LMS option. And when testing in Captivate via Test in Browser, everything seems to work and flags set in the TOC are still set when revisiting, plus the course opens on the last completed chapter, as wanted. But as soon as our client installs the HTML5 package on their webspace, the flags are not set when reloading, and the popup to resume also doesn't show up. I've checked the browser settings of my client, all cookies are enabled. Is anyone familiar with this problem and can help me find a workaround or fix the issue of the self-paced learning not working? I am working with Captivate 2019.

I created this simple advanced script to jump to a specific frame on a slide, then applied the advanced action to a button. it jumps to an unspecified slide instead.   The value is calculated as frame 20 x 30 FPS = 600 Any thoughts?  

...Hello Captivaters !...I'm working on a big project (around 50 slides)...On each slide, I have a next button which I wanted to be invisible when I entered (or re-entered) the slides...I wanted to create only one action for all the entering action slide...So I used :hide nxt_button_01hide nxt_button_02hide nxt_button_03And so on until :hide nxt_button_50 So I was wondering if there would be a simple Javascript which could easily hide all these buttons !...Thanks in advance !...😉...

Hi, I'm currently on a project on which the LMS needed a score to be sent to have a bookmark on the slide (so that the user can progress on the last slide that they have accessed). the content of the e-learning module is a slide video distributed across slides. Is there a way to send the score to a LMS on slide exit using javascript? thx b4

Using Adobe Captivate 2019 11.8.0.586 and created a quiz. If I exit the course on the Quiz Results page, score is passed to LMS.However, I have an advanced action that makes a button available for those who passed to take them to another slide - if users pass they have to sign an attestation that they will abide by the training. There is a text entry box on the new slide where users type yes. When that is in place, Captivate is not sending the score to the LMS. Success and Completion are in place, but score is 0.I have checked the panel and the only interactions sending a score are my quiz questions. I think my Quiz settings are okay since I do see the score, just not when I end the course the way I want to...Any thoughts? 

My module is using an LMS that opens in a new tab in the same window. Instead of playing the course in that tab, it gives me a message saying 'Your course has been launched in a new window. Please do not close this window' and a button that says 'Launch Course'. It then opens the module in a brand-new window. This causes the “original” tab with no activity in it, thus not able to track the users progress when they exit the module. How do I keep the course in the same window where I have my LMS page to track my completion status? 

Hello all: I need help with a Captivate 2019 responsive project text. I set a title text box using Arial font 36 pt. The body text is set at 24pts. It seems that text adjusts when changing from laptop to phone view, but on the phone view the title text creates a two-line text (within the same one-row box) with almost the same size (36 pt). Can someone help me solve this issue? or suggest other ways to manage responsive text?
