Hello, I've created a simulation manually and published it in HTML. The mouse click effect is working in HTML. I can hear the click sound but no ripple effect when published in HTML. 

Does anyone know how to make the mouse click quieter? I like having it, but it's over powering the narration. Thanks again for any insight!

Interactive video was created using Adobe Captivate 2019 and published as HTML5.If you hover the mouse pointer over the playback bar of the published interactive video, you will see something like a slide number, as shown in the image.How can I prevent this slide number thingy from being displayed?Perhaps it is possible by editing the js file, but I am not familiar with JavaScript, so I didn't know.This text is using a translator and may be a difficult question to understand, but I would appreciate an answer.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

I'm relatively new to working with captivate and am trying to import a .wav file into a slide. According to a book on Captivate from Icon logic - it says that captivate supports mp3 files and wav files. It also says that that when imported, WAV files are converted to mp3 format. When I try to import a wav file I get a message that says "unable to decode and import the selected sav/mp3 file". Does anyone know how to address this? thanks!

I am working on a project for a client where we are creating a file in Indesign, then converted to a PDF. The client wants to host the PDF in their LMS - cornerstone. We want to log completion athrough a 'finnish' button, and I believe can do so by converting to a SCORM file. Has anyone got any experience of converting an adobe file to a SCORM file. 

It was working before, but I have no clue which settings I´ve changed for this behavior. Quiz and sending to LMS is enabled (SCORM 2004 V4)The course is asking for some VariablesBut NOT suspend_data and location.So the user is unable to re-open the course on the last visited slide.I cannot enable self-defined learning in the TOC, because I do not want the ugly popup "...do you want to continue".Does anyone has an idea? I am completely lost. Because it was working before. But not now.Thanks for your appreciated help.

Hello - I've Captivated 70+ slides, and reailzing I forgot to select advance slides automatically and instead selected 'on mouse click'. Is there a way to update this after I have already finished the course?

I've been updating courses into a newer training template design (both files are in version 2019). When I copy over text, slides with text, or quiz questions with text it causes problems with the new file. These problems don't show up until I saved the file, closed and then reopened the file. Once it's reopened all of the text in the whole project is invisible. I can see the text in the slide view on the left, but when I click on the slide it doesn't display any text until I click on the text field itself, then it magically appears. Also, when I preview the course all of the text is gone until I have clicked on every single text field in the course then I can preview it and the text will be viewable. Unfortuately this is not a solution because if I save and close the course, once I open it up again the text is invisible again and I have to click on every single text field. This really seems like a technical problem and it makes transfering slides a big pain!

Hi, I have read some of the answers but still have some questions about changing the font. I am a non-English speaker, so perhaps you could go into a little more detail, thank you very much. The software version I am using is CP 2019.For example, I would like to change all the fonts from Arial to calibri. All of my Style Name of text caption is +[Dafault Caption Style], next I select a text caption and change the font of the text inside to calibri, and selcet "Save changes to existing style". The next step is to select the text caption in the other pages and click on "Reset Style". So I still need to repeat the operation many times, do I understand correctly? Is there a more efficient way to do this?Thank you for your time!     

I was working through a Lynda course on Captivate when asked to Preview "from this slide." When I do, I get a blank, black screen with a spinning wheel (see screenshot). I've tried this both on Chrome and Safari. I've uploaded a screencast too if it helps. The weird thing is that it previews for some files but not others. Hello, I am trying to jump to different pages in a quiz from an external URL. Is there a way to achieve this? When I publish it online, it only has the index.html page and not individual slides to link to.Thanks

Hi,I am struggling with the function, that after re-opening course, captivate is always asking whether the user wants to continue with the course or want to start from the beginning.How can I avoid this message and always start with continue at the last point which is sent by the LMS? ThanksMatthias

I notice with Slide Videos you can control the start and stop point of the video, however I cannot find a feature that allows this with Event Videos. Also, you can only have one Slide Video per slide and I need a second video to play on the same slide. All of our video source files have a required leader and trailer that I need to skip over in Captivate. I'm guessing the solution lies within Javascript. Is there any way that you can control the start and end points within an Event Video?

I want to send and store  the value of some Variables that are in my html page to the user varibales in my Captivate project. so that I can display them on the Project. In a captivate file there a 4 buttons 01,02,03,04 and after clicking button 01 a popup will open. The popup will have a close button which will close the popup 01 when clicked on the close button.Same is the working for other buttons also. How to write a advanced action for this kind scenario?

Ich könnte also eine Folie kopieren und nur die Dinge ändern, die sich unterscheiden.Beim Kopieren vergibt Captivate ja neue Namen für die Objekte in der Folie. Es erfolgt aber keine Anpassung an diese neuen Namen in einer erweiterten Aktion in der Kopie. Also muss man die erweiterte Aktion kopieren und dann händisch an die neuen Namen anpassen. Das ist eine irre Arbeit, wenn die erweiterten Aktion recht umfangreich sind. Gibt es irgendeine Möglichkeit, dass beim Kopieren auch die erweiterten Aktionen kopiert und automatisch an die neuen Namen der Objekte angepasst werden (in einer kopierten Aktion mit neuem Namen)?Oder gibt es irgendeinen anderen Tip, um sich die Arbeit zu ersparen, alles in so einer erweiterten Aktion neu zu schreiben?

We are experiencing a problem with our course captions resizing after import. We’re a translation company, so we get the captivate files in English that have been built by our client and export their course captions into a Word document for translation before importing the translated word document back into the course. We don’t mess with the word document at all throughout the translation process and yet every time after we import, most of the caption text will grow to be a font size larger. We then have to go in and manually update the font size for every caption to what we want it to be. The courses do use themes and have all of the correct font sizes saved as styles to the Object Style Manager. For some reason, after we import course captions, all of the styles become overridden even though they are not overridden in the English course. Hi,I have downloaded Adobe Captivate 11.8 (subscription) to work on a courseware. I have saved it as cptx format. I have another laptop which is currrently using Adobe Captivate (2019 release) update 5. I used it to open the file and unable to do so, with the error shown in the attached image. May I know is there any solution to open the file using  Adobe Captivate (2019 release) update 5? Thanks

I set my quiz score to report back as points and that 11/12 is minimum passing score.  It is showing up in the LMS as 11% or 12% but changing to completed.  Where should I look for my error? 

Hello,In a project of 10 slides, there is a review button hidden on each slide, which will be displayed only after the next button on particular slide is clicked.Example.Slide 1 to Slide 4: When the next button on these slides are clicked it will advance to the next slide.Slide 5: If the next button on the slide 5 is clicked it will advance to the next slide & the review button which is hidden on each slide should also be displayed from slide 5 onwards to the rest of the course. How to write a advanced action for this type of scenario? 

Hello,I have recorded audio in Captivate 6 by going Audio>Record> to slide. I have recorded the slide and then want to edit. However the edit buttons are greyed out as seen below. I have then pressed edit with adobe audition and again the options to cut/edit are greyed out. I'm wondering what I am doing wrong:Thank you

I was asked to create a Captivate project from a PowerPoint and it has been published to our LMS. One of the learners sent a screenshot showing that several slides were blank except for the next/previous buttons and the slide numbers (picture below). Since I used the "Create Project from PowerPoint" option, these buttons and slide numbers were the only thing I had added.  I can't duplicate this error in testing, there is definitely content on the slide. Has anyone else seen this error? I've been googling and searching this site but can't find anyone else with the same issue. The only thing I can think of is the learner was commecting from home through a virtual desktop using the VMware Horizon client and maybe that affected it? Any help would be appreciated as this is Compliance training so figuring this out is high-stakes for me!
