CRASH REPORT Animator started quitting, shortly after loading, this morning. I started getting these "Crash Report" s pop up and I haven't been able to use the program since. I'm not sure if I had just updated before or after the initial crash. I have installed and uninstalled different versions, to no avail(4.4 and 22.0). The program starts up and prompts me to create a new project or open a saved one. Whatever action I take or click on from there, CA crashes. I really love CA and have many ongoing projects., but I am now at a standstill. Any suggestions?
My mic is very sensitive to sound, and since and my pc cooler is very loud, it counts that as sound too (my characters mouth is open at all times)is there a way to lower the sensitivity of the microphone in adobe character animator?
I have a puppet with a few different expressions which I have organized in a swapset and controlled by triggers. As most of us know, it's good practice to usually have the character blink as they transition into a different emotion. My puppet is set up to blink whenever I blink into the camera. And I can set create a trigger to set off the blink as well if I want to. But lets say I have 5 different emotions, each set to a different trigger/key. Is there a way to have each of those keys ALSO set off the blink cycle so that the blink is triggered whenever the emotion is changed? Thanks for any tips!
All parts within and below the same group as the blink are supposed to disappear when the blink is triggered. This is happening for me. However, when the blink is over, those parts (in this case, eyelashes) do NOT reappear. Can anyone offer any insight into this problem? Thanks!
Working with a character with two spaghetti arms and it seems tricky to keep the arm hinge more like a smooth curve rather than a 90 degree angle? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Hi !It would be great to be able to move the wrist like the elbow and the rest of the body move with body tracking. Being able to bend the wrists so that the character really comes to life while moving, for now doing live with fixed hands gives a very robotic look.Isabelle
I have my character fully done. The only problem now, is that when i look right the eyes go up and not right. It may be because of the eye shape, please help.
Hi! I am using the head movement from speech function on Character Animator, but the face(nose, mouth, eyes and eyebrows) is moving in front of the head. Can i fix that somehow? Thanks in advance.
Trying to get the body to stay still while only the head moves. Stick tool not working or I'm not using it right. I forgot how to change from it says "origin" to "body", if that's supposed to make a difference.
Hello everyone this is my first time posting here and im a little at my whits end.ive made different layers in photoshop for animator and when i import the layers into illustrator or character animator the already done layers are parented AGAIN!please help thanks so much
Hi, I'm new to this & need help. I took the "Blank" character offered in adobe & changed its features to become my character. I did this because it was recommended by the Okay Samurai as the best place to start if you are new to animating. Then I took that character, shifted its body a little (to appear from the side) and tried to animate it to walking. I rigged & re-rigged multiple times & couldn't get it to walk, so I took the bottom section of the "Linden" character & placed that as the bottom half of the"Blank" character. Good news is it walked & I was able to get the head to bounce with the walk. Bad news is that regardless of all the re-rigging, the arms would not take on the swing of walking & I couldn't get the character to stop walking. Are these adobe characters programmed a certain way which does not allow a person to re-rig it? Do I need to start from scratch? Or, is there something I'm missing?Below is my walking character. Top pic is what I see w
What would be the best already full rigged full body tracking puppet to use to create my own puppet so I don't have to start from scratch? Thanks!!
Whenever I put the body layer (in Illustrator) under the +WhobutChris layer as one whole layer, the hoodie disappears in Character Animator. So I made it it's own layer and now it won't move, but the head will.
Reading these forums is mainly about people with problems. Does anyone achieve anything? Then I watch the community highlights reel oksamurai (and team?) put together every so often. Wow! Blows my socks off! Inspirational stuff! https://youtu.be/dymdEe5DD6M
I followed another user's discussion on this, and tried a few things that don't work.I got it to work very briefly, then it stopped and won't anymore. At first, the mouth would simply disappear when I hit the trigger key. I added a layer with just the mouth triggers, and it worked for about 5 minutes. Now it won't recognize any of them at all. It does lip sync and smile and surprise, and that's it. It also recognizes their triggers BUT THAT'S IT!In the other discussion where someone is having trouble, there is mention of a video (but no link?).I have searched the tips and tricks and can't find anything that might fix this!!I did try importing the mouth as its own layer in the swap set. [Following these directions: Character Animator New Features (Part 1: Triggers & Controls Panel) - YouTube ]And also giving the triggers their own layer which didn't work at all. What is going on?
I was wondering if there is a version of the blank puppet (illustrator version) available for full body tracking, not just head and shoulders. Thanks!!
Has anyone got a parallax clipping mask working? That is, the clipping mask moves with parallax settings.I tried with Chloe, making the nose into a bigger blob, then setting the parallax strength high (600%), then making the background of the face clipped by the nose. I can get the shape of the nose to appear, I can get the nose to move from side to side, the rest of the background is not present, but I cannot get the nose shape to be the color of the background image. That is, it does not seem like its clipping. The effect I was trying for was to get a head shape to adjust with parallax. The eyes and nose move fine today. The documentation says the mouth is mean to move as well (but does not) - but if you move the Mouth to be a child of Nose then you can make it move as well. But the head shape should adjust as well (at least a bit). I was trying to work out if this could be done smoothly rather than with profiles.Consider the following diagram. The eyes and mouth need to move (and nos
Hi! I'm having issues when trying to move the origin to the correct place on my puppet. It's only on the facial features. The origion won't move to the eye for example and when I succed to move it the whole eye moves away with it. Don't understand what's wrong can someone please help me? I restarted the project so I haven't done any rigging to this puppet.
I've been using character animater a lot over the past month and it was working great, I could send output via Sphon to OBS and record videos with no drop in frames or performance issues even with multiple other programs running on the computer. As of the latest ACA v22 about 1 second into recording, frame rate starts dropping until it gets to around 9 fps and once I stop recording in OBS it slowly goes back up to 24 again. I'm using the same character rig / scene as before the update. OBS is the same version too. I've closed all other programs. I restarted. I've cleared a lot of empty space on my HD. None of these things have helped. I'm on an M1 mac mini, 16gb ram, ssd. An recommendations to avoid frame drops?
I can't get the two mouth groups to work for the lip sync. The first group (happy) works very well, but the second (Sad) does not want to know anything. Sad doesn't work at all, even if I put it on top of Happy and set Sad by default. The Puppet has a parralax which complicates everything ... the puppet works great, except for the lipsync. if I try to rig it otherwise the mouth paralax stops working.if I put another lip sync behavior on the Sad group, it doesn't work.If I put a mouth mapping on the groups of mouths, it doesn't work.
I've edited two scenes togther in CH. I can't export that edit out. I get the message below. This is the same PC/GPU I've been using with CH for three years. Oddly I can still export the scenes individually (crisis overted...more work to be redone tho!) This seems like a bug to me. Here is my PC and GPU info: Device name DESKTOP-1CL7LBRProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHzInstalled RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)Device ID B41109CC-CAD8-40CB-9C74-E96FA8D48A5CProduct ID 00325-81126-10175-AAOEMSystem type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorPen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display Do I really need a new graphics card already??
I have downloaded the app and it starts when clicked on. But when I reach the startup screen this message (attached screenshot) pops up and I can't interpret it. What is wrong and how do I get around this?
I am new to charcter animator and have followed several tutorials before attempting to upload my own character. I followed the tutorial instructions but for some reason, the eyebrows are spinning in circles, the head keeps flying off the body, and the mouth won't move with the face background. Any suggestions on how to fix this???
