Character Animator

Hi, can someone help me 🙂 I am trying to learn skills in making my first character. I started by following Okay Samurays Wilk Character, and made him to raise eyebrows being angry/ worried and did his lids in same style. After I finished it, for some reason, one of my pupils is not showing. Can somebody give me any suggestion to help?Thanks, Ana

I have a character that i want to make him hold a pizza box with both hands. But i can not do it, when i put the magnet on the boxes and another magnet to the guys hand, the pizza box doesn't stay still and it starts rotating, when i put two magnets to the sides of pizza box and put magnets to both hands of my character it doesn't work eighter. (It kinda throws to a far place) what can i do about that?  

When I export the video the audio is fine but for some reason when I try to ply it back in the record mode its full of Static & Choppy. hasn't done this before and I have plenty of RAM32g BTW my  program crashed during this-started blinking , then generated a crash report.

ive trying to get my puppets pupils move but its not working.anyone have idea to solve it? 

Hello all. I'm a beginner in Ch Animator, using Windows 10 pro, I'm following the tutorials, for Triggers, we are to down load the Beginner Trigger lesson, and then double click on scene 1, key #1 lights up a yellow circle (ok), #2 a blue circle (mine lights up both blue and yellow) #3 three circles (ok) #4,#5 hand positions (ok) #| hand flip (nothing), I've tried all the other number keys, and nothing.... Then when I double clicked on Puppet 1 basic triggers, the basic triggers are set as per the tutorial, just 2 and 6 don't work as set up Any ideas? Is this important? I wasted an hour and 20 minutes on support for this, only to be told they aren't trained in workflow, and got the same results as me... this is not the first time what the tutorials show and my results doing the exact same thing don't coincide.... I realize they might be based on older versions, thanks

Will CH work better if I cache the files on an external disk? I have a new iMac 27 inch 2020 with eight core processors, a 2 TB internal SSD drive, 128 ram, and a 16 GB graphics card.I assume that whatever I choose in preferences in after effects will affect character animator since they are the same program, is that correct? Thank you to anybody who could clear this up for me it would be very appreciate it have a nice evening.

I was trying to download the blank character template from this link https://pages.adobe.com/character/en/puppets.html. But everytime I try to download the template it says something went wrong and my download isn't available. Is there any way to fix this issue or somewhere else I can get the puppet? 

Since the update to 4.0 my Surface Book 2 touchscreen is having major issues when I try to us it for the drag function. The application isn't sure if I'm using the mouse or touch screen and then creates really weird/unwanted behavior (1 section of the body part being dragged moves but the rest doesn't).  Is anyone else having this issue? If so, how have you fixed it? I use an external mouse and tried >12 times unplugging it are various times throughout the workflow but none seem to be working. This is a major issue for me due to my use case. I use the touch screen constantly.  Thanks.

After rendering in Adobe Character Animator and importing in Final Cut it becomes less bright, can i fix it?I've attached two photos before/after rendering.

Hello creative people.Having an issue pinning a part of my puppet and cant figure out what the issue is.  I want to pin the web so the character is swinging from that anchor point and it doesnt seem to reconigze it.  Whether its independant or not. Also if i make it independant... I noticed when i select the head, a number of green pins appear and this may have something to do with it.  Is there anyway to move these if thats the issue?  Thanks!

Hey so I was wondering. If let's say the art style of my character is the same , can I reuse the character animator puppet that I made earlier for the similar looking character without any issues ? This would save me a ton of time if possible. Sorry I am new 

Embarrassing post here...I have a few, pretty complex characters rigged in Character Animator and sometime in the last month or so it appears the files have been either corrupted, disrupted, or lost etc and they all say zero bytes. No other files on my computer had anything happen to them so this is very odd. And honestly heartbreaking as Ive invested many hours of time rigging these characters. Any idea what could have happened or how I could possibly try recovering them? The files in question are in my creative cloud folder, and when I go on the cloud they also say zero bytes.

So this is the picture of the two puppets direction (3/4 view): Then I want to reverse their direction simply by changing the X scale value from 100% to -100% and only 1 puppet works the way it should be while the other one is completely disappear from the scene. Just why?  Any help would be appreciated!Thanks!

Is there a way to temporarily group together two dragger handles?  I want to be able to - at certain timnes - move both arms of a puppet in unison, but trying to do one then the other doesn't give me the look I want.  

Hello, I am in distress!I worked on my project in Character Animator last night. I quit and this morning I open Character Animator and it shows me an error (sorry I have the software in French).I'm really afraid of wasting all my working hours ... Is it maybe a google drive which automatically syncs the folders?Yet I have never had a problem so far. I beg you, somebody help me solve this.

When I use "computer 4 lip sync from scene in audio" the visemes appear in my timeline, but I'm having trouple getting my alt mouth visemes to appear and trigger when recording a performance. Everything is rigged correctly and I have the appropreate behaviors. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi.Is it possible to open an existing puppet (or template with scene), edit the artwork in its Photoshop/Illustrator artwork file but then save the artwork to another file so as not to alter the existing file that belongs to the other, still needed puppet?I'd like to start with an existing puppet I've created and use it as a template for another puppet without destroyling the originial puppet artwork. Character Animator definitely has a steep learning curve!Thanks so much.Daniel.

Hey there,I often end up with conflicting copys of files (no, no dropbox etc. only adobe cloud!) but this time the problem seems to be different. The folder is there and looks pretty normal to me. No conflicting copys or anything. Any ideas how to fix this? Don't have a saved puppet file yet because I'm in the middle of working with it. Also not sure why the sqlite3 file doesn't get a green check.

When I export to Media Encoder I get an error that says Please install Media Encoder but I have the 2018 version on my computer that works.  The Character Animator is the 2020 version.  Any suggestions?

Hi There, I have a Cowboy character and I want him to be able to raise both his guns/arms in the air and fire them simultaneously. I want to record this action and make it a trigger.Is it possible to raise both arms with the same mouse click using draggables ?cheers(I'm having such fun with this program Mark

Can 3d models be imported into Ch (Character Animator) for animating?
