Character Animator

Hi, I'm fairly new the character animator and am having issues with imported audio. I have imported an mp3 file but when I click play nothing happens. I've also tried a wav file and an mp3 file that had worked previously but is not working now. I've also tried creating a new project and putting it in that but it's still not working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 

Attached is my first puppet, I am trying to get it smoothed out, but having issues figuring out why some parts aren't connected, and would love to be able to animate the mouth but can't get it to look right.

I am NEW...I need to I think save the clip in Character animator...file extension chj?? something something. Then I want to import it to premiere pro... I am a teacher trying to create dynamic lessons for my elementary students.  Please explain it like I'm five. Thanks!

Could anyone help me with this? For me it seems to be set up fine, it works also in similar cases of other characters. Just no idea what I am doing wrong...

Hi,I tried opening the tutorial on character animator and these are the errors that are seen when I click on them. "Internal error code: (1431844275:478+8) bad argument #1 to 'FindTabByID' (number expected, got boolean)"What should I do? I had a problem where it was crash before as soon I booted it and click on an actor but later I uninstalled and installed it again. It started to work but now this has come up. What do I do? Please help Thanks.

Dear community,I am just slowly getting desparate searching for a mistake I made while seting up this puppet. The head is movieng completely wrong, as well as parts of the shoulders, while walking. one eye seems to be moving ok, the otherone does not. Any ideas on how to fix this mess?Thank you!

I opened several puppets yesterday and now they are 'married' to each other and I can't separate them. Any suggestions?

Hi,I have a puppet in a scene and imported an audio file for lip syncing.However, when I click on the puppet on the timeline and go to Timelie, there is no option to compute lip sync from scene audio.Am I missing something? Using 3.4 latest update.I have an option for "Compute 2 takes from scene audio" but that seems different?

Heyo ! I'm having trouble with one particular function on my puppet (a modified "blank" puppet to be precise):Even though every other option is working properly and my both eyebrows are named with a "+" in Illustrator and crowned in Character Animator and tagged to the corresponding face part they seem to be deforming the top of my character's head when i move them.I checked every property to make sure they were independant and they apparently are but they still drag the top of my puppet's "head background" as they go up and down.Any idea how to fix this ?Thanks !(Here are some screens of my puppet's CHAN and Illustrator)

I am adjusting a character from a blank chacter template and I am having trouble with the neck rigging. I have attached some picture below of the issue. You can see the neck stretching in a distorted way, whether it is up or down. It looks like there is a pin near the neck causing the distortion but I cant find anything wrong with the rig. If you have any ideas please let me know, I have tried so many things at this point.

I have installed, uninstalled (back to 3.31), and reinstalled version 3.4 on my iMac 2017 and 3.4 locks up when it attempts to "prepare a scene" (White background only).   In an attempt to make sort it out I created a new simple project in 3.31 using Dr. Applesmith, installed 3.4, which then attempts to open the last opened project and it worked for a short time but when I then opened a previous other project it locked up again.  It appears all other new Adobe apps (PS, PP, AE, AU) are working.

While I create arm position with Dragger, there is happening a bending error. I've tried Arm Ik on/off and auto bend on/off but still the same error. Can you help me with that? I added a video attachment.

Hi I want to use CE for a scripted comedy showIn the script the characters need to do several things that are not obvious for me how to do them in the software (or if its possible).They need to eat potato chips, drink from a glass, kiss, fight and cry. How would I get characters to do this in the software?

Hello. I'm farily new to character animator and photoshop.  I've an eyeball shape, an iris shape, and a pupil shape. I've grouped iris and pupil to a pupil group and they move just fine. No eye lids. Eyeball shape is oval and iris shape is circle. I want the iris to show through the eyeball rather than the entire circle sitting on top of the oval shape. I'm trying to find masking tips, but am not having any luck. Any tips?

Hello I have a problem while imporing recording file , the file dosent show when i import it even when i drag the file i cant see it 

 I was working on a character animator project.While trying to use the Automatic head movement based on audio feature.  The system froze and I had to Ctrl-Alt- Del to end task and restart the Application. Upon trying to open the project. I got the error posted in the screen shot.- Looks like some lock on a file, or something.  Is there a way to fix it.- I followed the path, listed in the error, to the master file in the head directory. Can some dev, or support person tell me, if there is anything i need to be able to turn off, in the file, to get it to release the lock, so that the I can gain access to the project again thanks

I have, or should had, a puppet using Parallax Behaviour, but now it's gone!?It could be me, but have I missed something?

I use a Mac and have a second monitor. Setting up Workspace and one involves the it being on the other monitor. However, as soon as you click between workspaces, it reverts back to Mac Screen? Not a major problem... just drag it back each time.

I am trying to set a cat character head with parallax. but for some reason when I am trying to set its ears head position strength parameter the ears art is moving in a diagonal direction instead of simply sideways (left to right/right to left). why is it happening or how can I fix that? What controls the axis direction of an art work?

I started working with Character Animator a few days ago and for some reason I can't preview my puppet in the Rig tab, it only becomes visible while In Record.This wasn't a problem at first but now that I want to experiment with Handles I need to be able to actually see my puppet.I might be missing something obvious here, but any help would be appreciated.Heres a YouTube video of the problem:No preview in Rig! - YouTube

Hey guys,  I have probably animated 30-40 characters in Character Animator at this point, using generally the same workflow. So not sure if this is a new issue in the updated version of the software but... All I want is a slight head movement, and slight eye movement (look around subtley) on my character. Usually this would take me 5 mins to do. But no matter how I struture my character, the head and eyes will simply not move based on camera input. I can sometimes get the body to move with the head movements (like its floating side to side) but never does the head move independently (to look natural). Here is a video of my project and what is happening. I super super curious on what I'm missing here.
