hi, in my program version i don't have the Staple Tool... how can i connect hand to the body?
I realized the entire animation with Adobe Character Studio (assembly of several scenes in a scene). And when I start rendering video, ghost images appear (images of the puppet not to appear at this moment). Examples: second: 38 ', 45' and 54 .Link: WeTransferCan someone help me?
I’d like to add a dangle behavior to a cycle animation. Is that possible? The dangle doesn’t seem to work with my cycle layers. Also when’s the next tips and tricks video coming out. Is Dave still on vay cay?
Hi!I started playing around with character animator a couple of weeks ago and its been amazing! I created a panda as my first character and so far the tutorials online have been very helpful, however, when I started getting into creating a walk cycle with a frontal, right profile and left profile views , things starts to get messed up. I tagged my character's body and face like I did with the frontal view but when I tried the walk cycle in profile the arms wouldn't move and the blink wasn't working on one side. I tried using the arrow keys to control the movement but my character started disappearing and would only appear when I would press the arrow key and the arms still wouldn't move!. Any assistance with this would be appreciated! I have attached videos of my character recording. Thanks!
I saw there was a discussion in 2017 about this but there was no answer, they were just hoping it'd be something we can do in the future. Well now it's the future haha!So my question, I have an animated character that I've successfully set up to work with keyboard triggers (character is too complex to do motion-triggers like turning head to side as I am tracking parallax). I've also successfully brought it into my twitch stream using the workflow Character Animator>NDI Output>OBS>Twitch. And this is amazing that I can live perform while gaming, I really love this feature, it's just like 95% complete, it's almost there! Biggest hangup is triggers, they can only be mapped to keyboard keystrokes, and keyboards only work with active windows. So while I'm gaming (active window), my character's lip sync works beautifully and all motion, but can't do a single trigger because they keyboard doesn't effect Character Animator if the window isn't active.Has anyone found a workaround? Woul
Hi there, i'm really struggling here... After trying to save as video via media encoder and getting the "Media encoder does not recognize the source" error message, I tried to go the premiere import route. But When importing to premiere it seems to import the .chproj file differently each time I try, and every time the animation is no good - it's missing and skipping frames. I give it time to buffer but it stays the same (not that I could find any indication for the buffering status...).Also, I tried exporting my character animator project to a png sequence, expecting to also get a .xml file to use in premiere (read that that's something that happens), but I didn't get any .xml. Would really appreciate your support. I have used ToonBoom in the past to create animations, and was thrilled to hear about Character Animator when the Beta came out, but it seems to be useless for me at the moment if I can't in any way save the animation...
Help!!The left pupil is going in the opposite direction from the right pupil so my character is either cross-eyed or the left pupil is jumping out of the eyeball to the left hand side. When I look to the left the eyes gong into the middle and when I look right they go to the outer edge of the eyeball area, with the left one, characters left, going outside the of the eyeball area completely.I've imported another blank template from character animate in Photoshop but can't see what could be causing the issue.Any Ideas are greatly appreciated.Thank you.
Hello dear all. Just broke my head thinking what is wrong with my puppet settings.Put all the points at their places. Stili when girl is walking legs and arms are messing up. And it is messing up as strong as I'm changing the walking strenght. Whan it is on 0 everithing looks same as a puppet. Rasing the strenght transforming the body.Attaching the puppet and will appreciate if someone could drop an eye for a moment. I'm sure there's a tiny thing which I can't find and fresh view will help a lot.Now the walking strenght is 0Now it is 73And 100By link below the puppet itself. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1EB7OdnMQDMMnDcZ2tquMj2oeg_wDZKBiThanks a lot to those who will spend a minute to check what is wrong here,
I have created a puppet. The animation works, however when I go to record, it only wants to record a small rectangle in the middle of the screen (my puppets waist) instead of my whole puppet. I cannot figure out how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm making a 30 minute cartoon with Character Animator, which works great in general. Some issues have cropped up that new features would fix, and I'll leave them here. For all I know 100 others have too but it can't hurt.1. behavior speed. Slowing down the record speed is great for precision; the trouble is that anything automated like the length of time a moved limb takes to reset or the speed at which pupils move when operated by keyboard speeds up as a result. If you are recording at half speed, an arm set to take 1 second to return to its default position takes .5 instead. You can fix this in that case by setting the arm to take 2 seconds to reset, but other things like pupil speed don't have such controls, at least not readily obvious. In any case since speeding up these things is clearly not the point of half-speed recording, the ability to have them take their proscribed amount of time regardless of record speed would be appreciated. Hi guys!I've created a puppet on Illustrator, using a template base (empty layers) so all the layers are correct. Now I'm trying to import it to Character Animator and I keep getting the "bad allocation" error, without any additional details. The puppet doesn't even appear and when I try to click on the layers, the error keeps coming up. I'm desperate, as I've been trying to correct this for four days now, with no success... About to give up, but I really need to make this animated video for a work project... Can you help me?Thanks!!!
The head moves with camera however when it moves there is a gap between body and head. My question is how do I get the head to stay connected to body yet still have movement.
I'm having a heck of a time over the last week trying to do this. I've done it successfully but with mixed results. I want a great quality stream and I have all the components I should need. I've been using the NDI plug in for OBS, if just seems to be too unreliable is there another way to have a 2 PC setup and stream with a character? What I'm trying next is to use a caption card to capture xbox play on my desktop. I just tried to use OBS-NDI to run CH from my laptop to my PC....it works for a few minutes that disapprears (NDI unreliability). Is there a way I can connect and grab my laptop/Character screen on my desktop to stream out of OBS other then NDI? FYI I get 500 down 50 up, network shouldn't be the problem. Had anyone successfully done this?
My game capture of Character Animator in OBS keeps randomly changing sizes every 10 minutes or so. I don't want to have to edit crop/transform sizes to fix this midstream. I've had this happen on both a mac and pc. Does anyone know a work around for this? Sorry about the picture size Correct:Wrong:Thanks in advanced.
When I try to export a scene to video with "Adobe Media Encoder" in "Adobe Character Animator", AME returns an error, saying that it is impossible to read the origin and when I tried to add a new origin in AME queue and I selected the .chproj archive (character animator archive) , AME returns a Dynamic Link error sying that it can not connect to the selected application (Character animator in this case). This is the error that I find in the error log of the AME.- File of origin: F: \ ... \ larguito Puppet.chproj - Output file: C: \ ... \ Desktop \ Scene - larguito.mp4 - Preset used: YouTube HD 1080p - Video: - Audio: - Bit rate: - Coding time: 00:00:0008/20/2018 10:59:59 AM: Coding error------------------------------------------------------------The origin can not be read. So I've done a walking scene that basically is for the ending of all my videos. Despite the fact I knew how to get them to walk this still took a good 5-8 hours. (I don't count, as it is depressing) My question is can I copy this entire scene somehow into my videos, or do I have to cut and paste each character?I've also attached a pic for those of you interested in how this was done. Basically, everything's a puppet, including names. Many of the changes and expressions are done with triggers.Again, I didn't draw these characters. I purchased them from Graphic Mama. -Sharonhttps://drive.google.com/open?id=1fyfd6keIlULThtMeNkOR2zJJpLyqtOuG
Not sure where to really post something like this, but I have some compiled thoughts I'd like to share with the ACA team on things I feel need improvement or need to be added. These are thoughts that come after a long project using ACA.First off, the program is really cool, and I love where it's going, but it still feels very much like a Beta to me and not a full release ready for big time productions.1. Dynamic link to After Effects is unacceptably slow and unstable in my experience. It's great on paper, but after having to bring 40 plus links into Ae and having each import take 3-5 minutes, I had enough. Not to mention that after enough links are added an Ae file, the file may never open again. In my opinion PNG sequences are the only usable method of getting the work into Ae. Not only this but if you set multiple renders to Media Encoder Que, there is some kind of memory leak that will eventually crash media encoder. It seems character animator makes lots of little "RAM eaters
Hello,I wanted to record videos or do live streaming while gaming with a charakter Animator Puppet as "Facecam"I am having a Character Animator puppet with multiple Triggers (currently set to normal keys). Also im having an elgato Stream deck which i wanted to use to control the Puppet while im playing games. Now i have the Problem that i dont know how to use the triggers while the Character Animator is in the background.I read that its possible to use a midicontroller. But Stream deck cant be use as such (as far as i know). Also using a second Computer which would help isnt really a option.Hope someone can help me
This seems like a pretty basic process, but I'm having trouble figuring it out. My bet is there are Okay Samurai tutorials that cover this in pieces, but I haven't managed to track them down.I'd like my puppet to walk onto screen from the left, stop at a particular point (on his mark is how I'd put it if my actor were alive), turn towards us, then simultaneously move down the Y axis a little and scale down some. This last part is to give the impression he is sitting down (we only see him walk in from mid-thigh so it's OK that his knees don't bend when he sits). He'd then sit there and talk for a while, then get up and goes off camera the way he came.I know how to make my puppet walk across the screen, but not how to end at a precise point (he needs to stop exactly in front of his chair).I know how to transform along the Y axis while recording and how to change scale while recording, but not simultaneously and not that precisely. But I don't know how to do this, um, not live.I thi
Hi!I wanted to ask you guys if it's possible to animate only the face expressions including lip sync(using webcam) in Adobe Character Animator and export the face in After Effects and parent it to the body? Is it a good way to animate? Can I just use Adobe Character Animator for lip sync(with a audio file imported from Adobe Audition) and then export in After Effects parent it to the body to ease my work? What's the best way to use Adobe Character Animator with After Effects?Thank you
I am currently looking for some more complex templates for puppets. I want to study a few and then build a brand new character for this.I watched all the videos (thanks Okay Samuri) for all the tutorials. But having viewed them all I really want to work on a more complex character.Where can I find some detailed puppets with more behaviors and actions? Learning hands on is something that I love!Kenn.
Hi!I attached Blackmagic Web Presenter to my computer, and when I select BMD's device for video input it shows it for a second and then, like there is no camera attached in Character Animator.Any suggestions?Selected camera:Next second:Greetings,Anže
Can anyone tell me why the character isn't responding correctly to the visemes's (visemi??) I've tried everything I'm out of ideas! CA.mov - Google Drive
