I am using a blank puppet that I have customized, but when the puppet blinks, the eyes shift up and to the right. What could be happening. (new to character animator)
Hello!I'm new to Character Animator and can't for the life of me figure out why it's not working. Specifically it's the arms and shoulders that get all distorted when it looks like it's rigged properly to me. I had markers in to keep the forearms and biceps stiff but took them out in case that was causing an issue but I'm having the same problem either way. Any help would be great- thanks! Video of problem
So I Have Been Using The Zippy The Turtle Puppet by Digital Puppets but noticed with motion library his feet are planted I watched a video of troubleshooting issues like this but every fix i try seems to make my puppet more broken anyone know what the issue could be?
Just wondering if this is possible - not sure what I need to Google. If I record an animation on one puppet and set it to a Trigger, can I export this animation and import it to a different puppet? Or will i need to record the same animation over and over again for different puppets? They are all rigged similarly.I have a set of puppets that all need to have the same animation with the same trigger.Thank you!
Hey guys, I'm back! Again I am a newbie and watching lots of videos. I'm almost done but can't figure out why my right eye pupil is going bananas. The left eye has no problems and its looks like it set the same. What can I do?
Does anyone know a way to create a white outline around your whole puppet? So it kind of looks like a sticker? If I try and create an outline around the head/body/legs/arms etc they intersect, I knid of want it around the whole puppet. Is it possible?
Hi... I've been watching some tutorials but I still can't figure out whether it's possible to trigger remotely start/pause the timeline. It's kind of necessary for a live performance I'm planning. Thank you for your thoughts!
Hello everybody! I have been using Character Animator for a little more than 3 months now and I must say that I love it! It is by far the fastest way for me to animate my characters without losing time doing lip sync and body movements. I want to share with the developpement team some improvements that could be made for the future updates (hopefully they will be implemented!) First of all, I don't understand the zoom logic on the puppet track segment : When I hold the option and use my mouse wheel, it always brings to far to the right from where my mouse is. Audition is way better in terme of that : when you hold option, your zoom is centered on your current frame position, and when you hold command, your mouse position dictates where to zoom. Second of all, I haven't figure out yet if there is anyway to import puppet or psd/ai files that are stored in my Adobe Creative Cloud. If there is, it would be nice of you to tel me how, it could save me some storage space on
How do I get my character's head to attach to their neck? While in record mode only my head moves and it does not stay connected to their body. Also my body does not move at all. I am a beginner so I search so many videos but haven't figured it out yet. What am I doing wrong?
I have a project that has numerous lip sync sections. However, one section, after exporting is out of sync. It's a few frames off. I made sure the audio and animation starts on the same frame. It works fine in the preview. I've recreated the lip sync keyframes. Nothing works. Any ideas? TIAS
I created a character in illustrator but when I scale it up in after effects, the hands are going somewhere else and the legs somewhere else. How do I fix this problem?
I need more mouth positions for my animations, which I can create, e.g. angry, furious, annoyed. At the moment there are only normal, surprised and smiling. Can you create more of these? Thanks a lot!
Is there a way to copy all visemes from one scene and paste them into another scene? I've edited visemes for a character and want to copy them and paste them to a 3/4-view version of the same character who I've set up in a different scene. (I'd like to copy and paste the visemes so I don't have to edit them again). Many thanks for your help.
Hi As per the title... I was wondering whether having a lot of puppets and scenes situated within 1 project is a bad a idea or not? I'm finding CA to be incredibly slow despite having an intel i9 13900k with 64gb DDR5 6000mhz ram and an nvidia geforce 3070. My puppets are relatively complex but the weird thing is that when it is being really slow my cpu, ram and gpu are nowhere near maxing out, probably like 20% cpu, 5% gpu or something. Is there something I need to set or does it only run on a single thread or something? Thanks
I've made two character animations and exported them both as PNG and wavIn character animator the time line was 2.06My settings were 30fps and 1920x1080I've imported them into Premiere and for some reason the WAV is 2.06 but the actual animation is now out of sync with the audio, and the png sequence is 2:31 longI've checked my Premiere sequence setup and it is 30fpsAny idea what could be going amiss?
Hi guysI created a character and it worked fine - used it and all was good. However, I have now gone back to my file and I am getting this in the record tab. Is the charactor animator struggling to find the source files? If so - how do I relink? Thanks for your help!
Hi I'm having trouble getting my puppet to work properly with motion library. When i try the "recommended" approach as per Okay Samurai's video here: https://youtu.be/e85HGSAS80g?t=690 the head is ok but the body goes all out of whack. However, when i try the "normal" approach with a separate head group and the group profiles within (and i've tried varying combinations of dependent and independent), the head moves around all over the place (at the moment i'm trying dance/ginga. Can anyone help me with the correct way to set up a character and should i have a puppet specific to motion library? Puppet with "recommended" head set up here (RQ view only): https://drive.google.com/file/d/17HqL5-cSl4glPi2tD05oKTwNvAWs213a/view?usp=share_link Puppet with "normal" head set up here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p4qvs-g49n9M1RbktkKIf1WxbXvcDzgs/view?usp=sharing Thanks!
I'm on Mac Ventura 13.2.1 using the most up to date version of Adobe Character Animator. It gives me the "audio too low" in the audio panel, when I go to settings, it opens the Audio Midi set up which shows my H6 as a 6 channel input, two channel output, but none of the options are selectable. My Zoom H6 works fine for Adobe Audition and my Twitch Livestream, so I'm not sure what to do. I was hopeing to livestream animation, but I wanted the audio to sound nice! Please Help
I have an assignment to create animated videos from a transcript provided by a customer. The transcript includes lots acronyms.I have tried various approaches to making the lip synch work for the acronyms (periods after each letter, periods + spaces after each letter, trying to spell out letter sounds like "A" = "aye," "B" = "bee," etc.).I keep getting the error message; "Compute Lip Synch failed: Check that the transcript matches the audio."Any suggestions on how I can get past this error?Thank you.
Sometimes I need to zoom in on the Scene panel by 100% or more to check the lip synch of a puppet. If the puppet stands off to the side for a whole scene, I can no longer see the puppet. The zoom process moves directly in towards the middle, which means I can't see the side of the scene.I have tried everything I can think of to grab, drag, or scroll to the right or left, but nothing is working.Any help would be apprecated. Thank you!
hello, my puppet will not walk. I've watched the video 100 times, I watched it again and it said if the handles are not tagged in the puppet won't move, I tagged all the parts I want to move but nothing is working it also shows that I haven't tagged any handles. not sure what's wrong with it. any advice would be greatly appericated.
Hello everybody. For some strange reasons, my Character animator interface keeps crashing after showing me these two error messages (parts of them are in french, but they do not give any interesting informations). Is it a instrinsic problem of the software, or has it something to do with my board? Thanks in advance.
Hello,I am Chhanda from Bangladesh. while doing my animation project I do cloth and assets as swap triggers, that time I feel If I could duplicate the existing triggers and add more elements Or delete something for changes then it will more fast and easy for us.
I'm trying to create a character in Adobe Character Animator using an image: I edit the regions of the image. When I have finished the defining the regions, it looks like this: When I am finished defining the regions, I get this: Why is most of the hair missing??? What am I doing wrong? I would *greatly* appreciate any help anyone can provide. Many thanks!
Hello,I've been using Character Animator for a class, so I'm still a bit new to it. So far I have all 5 sides of my puppet rigged, Left Profile, Right Profile, Right Quarter View, Left Quarter View, and Frontal View. The camera and body tracker will sometimes work, especially when idle. However, when I start recording a motion it doesn't register the profile view. For example, I am trying to record a Catwalk continuous motion with the Right Profile view. Once I start recording, it only shows the frontal view, even if I am positioned to the side.Is there any way to fix this, or even just choose the specific profile view throughout without worrying about head-turning or body-tracking? I am happy to provide any further information if needed. Thanks in advance for any help.
