I'm perplexed... I shared a PDF document and made some annotations on it (using the Drawing tools), which showed up fine on the participants' computers. Then I selected all of the annotations and used the "eraser" button to delete all of them, which worked fine on my computer, but didn't erase them on the participants' computers! I then stopped the share,started a document share again, chose that document from the Share History and, when it appeared, it still had the annotations on it (but, again, just on the participants' computers, not on mine)!So, what's going on here? What am I doing wrong? How can I erase an annotation in a way that also erases it for the participants?TIA for any help!Laura

How can I crop cut individual seconds from a Connect recording?  The default ranges are not precise.

While running through a Powerpoint Presentation, some slides didn't show all elements? is this an issue with how the PPT is built prior to upload? are there specific products that can be installed that would allow for the appearance of all elements in any type of PPT presentation?I installed the latest add-in and it didn't help. suggestions?

I am doing a series of webinars concerning foster and adoptive parents. Many of the attendees want to remain anonymous to the other attendees but would like to participate in Q&A's and chats. Is there a way to hide the name of the person entering a question or chat comment from the other attendees but have everyone still see the comments?Thanks ahead of time!Mike

HiI am testing (paid not trial) the adobe connect hosted solution for on-line meetings.  Keen to intergrate with our PHP website and have been trying to get a library to connect using the API.  Does the hosted API support the full range of API functions - I want to create users if they do not exist and generate URLS with header authentication so that site users don't need to re-enter their user names or passwords.  Think I can figure out how to do this - but want to confirm that the hosted accounts actually support this functionality. Love Adobe Connect but the adobe website / documentation / ordering system is a nightmare...  ThanksRichard

When a bank has a document for you on its website, when you click the link a PDF document appears on the screen.  There isn’t a menubar on the document, however when you hover the mouse cursor over the document, this toolbar appearsIt’s obviously supposed to allow you to save, print, scroll, or adjust the magnification of the document, but nothing I do to this toolbar does anything. I’ve tried right and left clicking on the toolbar, ALT clicking, CTRL clicking, and SHIFT clicking and nothing has any effect. I end up right-clicking somewhere else on the document and printing it to a printer connected to my computer when I’d prefer to save it as a PDF document. Hello,I am using Adobe Captive 4 and have previously been able to publish my Adobe Captivate videos into Adobe Connect.However, I have now had my PC upgraded to Windows 7 and am now unable to do so. When I attempt to publish into Adobe Connect, I received the following message:Adobe Connect requires Flash Player 9.0.0.0 or above.I have Flash version 11 installed on my computer so I don't think this is the problem. However, I do notice that the publish option opens in a window that seems to be another program or wizard that is used to publish from Captivate into Adobe Connect; this may be where my problem resides.I had a co-worker on Windows XP try and everything works fine. It is only with Windows 7 that this problem occurs. Any help or direction with this issue would be great.Thanks!

Can recorded lectures in Adobe be burned to a DVD?

We are putting together an instructor led online course.  The problem we keep running into, is that when we import a .swf file when we do share document, the files comes up for all to see, but anybody (teachers, stuidents, facilitator) can click on any of the buttons and everyone only sees what is on their screen as opposed to what the instructor is trying to show.  If we switch to share instructors screen and select application, it works - everyone sees what the instructor sees and only the instructor can hit different buttons - which is what we want - however the quality of the .swf file gets distorted grainy and plays really slow.  Does anybody have any solutions - is there a capability that I missed?

I have an interactive swf file where I would like the students in the breakout rooms to discuss and work on the activity together in their own groups/ breakout room. Is there a way to set the setting of this file so that can happen or permissions settings for the students to do this? Appreciate any feedback or help anyone can give me.

I use Adobe Connet meeting an account for  3 years now . I'm very pleased. I plan to use an Adobe Connet Training but want to keep all the users of my business meetings. I have many users from my account and I want to keep everyone. I have visited all tabs visible in my back office adobe account and can not find how to switch to this account the modality of Adobe training. I have looked at the Adobe site but can not find a way to do it.It's likely that I'm not understand this issue well, but for this reason I need helpSorry for my bad english, I'm Portuguese. We needed months to solve the issue with Lion 10.7.2.Finally it worked.Now Lion is 10.7.3.And Adobe Connect goes crashign everywhere.Please solve this bug, because we work with your software and is absolutely inacceptable that everytime we have to wait weeks or months to solve bugs.The software should be updated before Lion new version goes public.Hope someone could help me...

Hi,For some people, and some uses, viewing its own image (when the webcam is shared) may be considered as useless.In one-to-one webconf, is it possible to set the other's webcam in full screen, and just incrust my webcam image in his picture (Picture in Picture) ?If not, or in another context (multiple webcams shared), is it possible to simply hide its own webcam image ?Thanks a lot !Steph

I have recently come to into a problem where I am trying to save a presentation recording and it is only recording 16:40 seconds of the recording even though I go through the entire presentation and save it at the conclusion of it. Any ideas or thoughts why this might be happening. I have recorded other presentation and have not had this problem. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hello - I searched this issue but got nothing - perhaps this forum can help.Using Adobe Connect 8, I am the 'host' and not having issues.I have a participant who is attempting to use the integrated camera on her Dell Vostro 1500 (XP equipped) during the meeting.  In this particular implementation the participants login as 'guests' and I enable their video sharing rights so that they can have a virutal panel.  Everybody worked (8 + cams) except for one participant who is using the Dell.  Her video does actually connect, but shows up as just a black screen with her username at the bottom of it.  I just tried to re-test with her 1 on 1 but could not get to the bottom of it and it has me stumped. I had her do the following:Confirm that her laptop was 'open' and that she was using the laptop monitor (make sure the image wasn't black bc the laptop was closed ) Run the Adobe Connect Connection test (flash player, connection speed etc.)Right click on her video pod, click o

but the file won't play in IE. Is Connect doing anything to the file that would prevent it from opening in a browser window?Brian

Hi,We have to open a lot of individual PDF documents in my office.  Almost all of them open up with this warning: "WARNING: This PDF contains pages created with a version other than Acrobat 7.0..."It would be great if we could disable this message from popping up when we open PDF files.  Does anyone know how to disable it?  The red warning up top says you can "Suppress PDF Version Warning" by right clicking and selecting that option, but the warning still comes up every time we open a new document.  Can we permanently disable this warning?  I have attached a screen shot below.  Please let me know, thanks for your help!Johnny

Has anyone else noticed the Adobe Connect add-in using up large amounts of RAM ? In a 40 minute Connect meeting this morning , checking task manager the ram being used by Connectaddin.exe was 1,0035,016k , so almost 1 gig of ram. I noticed that the Connect meeting room was acting sluggish , the other presenters noticed as well , and their ram for the addin was 700+meg as well.Allowing the Connect meeting to sit idle for 15 minutes and not do any slide transitions or anything , the amount of memory used never decreases.I have an open call with Adobe , just curious if any else experienced this issue ?I am running Windows 7 64bitI did flush the flash cache , delete cookies , internet cache , passwords , etc , manually cleared the temp dir , and uninstalled/ reinstalled the Connectaddin.exe.I find it odd that the minimal specs for Connect indicate:512MB of RAM (1GB recommended) for Windows XP or Windows 7; 1GB of RAM (2GB recommended) for Windows Vista

Hello,I am trying to currently troubleshoot an issue with a Windows 2003 Standard Edition. Our Adobe Connect server was up and operational, but as of recently now you can login to the site. You cannot however load up and into a meeting room. I am trying to find any way to resolve this issue because I do not have an answer to give on this one. As of right now I can ping the server, remote into the server, and access the web site. I can access the console.htm and see everything is connected and good to go.No I am not utilizing SSL, no I am not trying to tunnel anything. I am wondering if it is because of a recent issue with either DNS or because it is installed on a VM. The reason I say this is because as of recently my Virtual Infrastructure Client is now not allowing me to console into my server via client. So all the information is currently the best of what I am capable of providing. Any insight and / or help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.- Joe Medeiros, US ARMY
