Hello -These forums have been a valuable resource for my individual troubleshooting in Adobe products, and I thank the contributors.Currently I am having an issue that I am unable to resolve on my own, nor find any postings covering simlar topics through search.Core Question:   Can one create a room in Adobe Connect 8 that does all of the following?:Allows virtual attendees to connect through VOIPAllows virtual attendees to connect by selecting to have the integrated conference line call them (where they must enter their phone number), where that attendee can be muted individually, their audio status is displayed by their username etc.Allows (and provides directin for) the attendees to dial into the conference lineSpecs:  Currently Adobe Connect 8 (Service Pack 1)PGi Conferencing Service Adobe product support through ClarixBackground:For our implementation(s), we need to broadcast many different event types and offerings to a virtual audience in which presenters/instruct

With the Hosted Connect product what is the limit for particpants to be concurrenty transmitting and sharing their webcam video. Is it reasonable for 15 users to be sharing their video stream concurrently. In testing this we see very stuttery video. A dual core machine is used for the Host on a 15 meg cable Internet service.

Has anyone experinced any lockups with Connect Pro 7.5 or 8.0I am using XP Pro 2002 SP3, with Firefox 3.6.16 and IE 6.0.2900.5512 SP3 both on a Dell quad core system (Intel i5 CPU w/3.25G RAM).  I have seen random lockups were I can't shut the system down or close the browser window and the system has to be power cycle to clear the window.I have seen the problem when I only have one app open and when I have three or four open.

I have facing one security issue  in adobe connectError Description is "Security error accessing urlUnable to load WSDL. I am planning to test out Adobe Connect. One of the biggest concerns that I have is its compatibility with other Adobe softwares. Is it compatible with any in the Adobe Creative Suite CS5 or Adobe Visual Communicator?

Can anyone recommend a remote control device or "slide clicker" that will advance slides in Connect wihtout having to use the keyboard?  Thanks.Tony

Is there a setting some where to configureAdobe connect to look at the browser auto script versus the proxy server setting?If I check "proxy server" and put in the proxy name and port in IE, I can connect to my room, however if I have that same proxy information in my PAC file script and check "Use Automatic Configuration Script" no proxy server settings in my IE browser, I get a connection error.It seems that the FMS is only using "Direct" or "Proxy Server" in the browser and not looking in my "Automatic Configuration script" file. Everyother site works correctly this way and I can get to the logon for the Room, but when it tries to connect, it times out.Do I have to use both an script file and also check proxy server to get Adobe to connect? Any suggestion on how to resolve this where I only use my configuration script file conntaining my proxy settings?THANKS!!

When using VOIP for audio do you need to use a Camera & Voice pod in your layout?Or can you just click the Talk button and begin talking?

Getting used to Adobe 8 Connect Pro and cannot find the toolbar across the bottom of the screen as in previous versions.  Any advice how to find that option?Brian

Greetings,I want to report a minor inconvenience we encountered while creating meetings. Two fields, 'name' and 'summary' have character limits of 60 and 1000 respectively. When exceeded, pressing the next button redirects to the same page, with warnings in red to what to correct. However, in this second page, 'custom URL' and 'access' fields are reverted back to their default values. In more than one case I forgot to re-enter them and ended up creating a meeting with random URL that needs host approval for guests. Access behaviour is editable afterwards, but the URL is not, afaik.Is this a known issue, or intentional? Also, is there an option to change custom URL of a meeting once created?Regards,Volkan

Hi,I have a macbook pro running Adobe Connect 8 with Snow Leopard 10.6.7.  Ever since I installed snow leopard I am having major slow down problems in connect.  I am an educator using Adobe Connect to broadcast my video and teach students.  I looked at the activity monitor of my Mac while running a class in AC and the percentage of computer usage was jumping between 80 and 100% for Adobe Connect...that can't be right, right?Anyone have any ideas to help?  Internet speed is all good but the program keeps pausing and giving me the apple wait symbol while using AC.Thank you in advance.Matt

I uploaded PowerPoint files for many months, just using the Upload from my Computer option in the Share pod.  Now for some reason, I cannot use that option.  I do not get an error, it just seems to stall on "converting" and never finishes the upload.  The PPTX presentations contain about 10 slides.  I can still upload to the general content location, but don't really want the files there as they are specific only to one layout.

Hi, I have just begun to look into Connect as an LMS solution for an upcoming project. I will have a number of user groups - different clients (companes) that I will want to have organized with access permissions. is there an area in Connect where I can manage this? For example can I add 50 people in company A to a preset list and then push an eLearning module/lesson to them?If there is a manual you could direct me to that adresses this that would be great as well.Best, Steve

So I have created a marketing flyer in Photoshop that contains images and text.  I save this out as a .pdf file and upload to Connect.  When I open the file, many of the layers, usually the text layers, are missing.  I've tried saving the original Photoshop file a number of different ways, like flattening, etc, and the .pdf file a lot of different ways.  But it still appears in Connect missing some of the text layers.  BTW, the original .pdf file is fine.

I am experimenting with the ConnectNow and invited my wife who works on a laptop here in my home. Bring her computer into my room, I can share my screen, can even get control of my screen through her computer by clicking on that small button and accepting her control of my screen, but then her screen size is reduced and I cannot get the button (small rectangular box) that usually provide full screen view, to work. Nothing I do will bring that screen back to full view.  What is going on?

There use to be a plugin or slideshow that had instructions for using Connect during a meeting.  You would see it in the lobby before a session.  Is this available for the the latest version of Connect Pro?  If so, how can I find it?  I tried the Exchange but did nto see it there.Karl

Is there a way to have a flash video loop?  I would also like to do this with an MP3 file if possible.  Any suggestions?  The flash is for Lobby Help instructions. I would hate to make one long 20 minute flash file.Regards,Karl S

I have had this problems several times.  I don't know what is causing it.  I set up a meeting and have people attend the meeting and share my screen this work fine for a while in that meeting room.  The next day I go to share my screen in the same meeting room and my participants can see nothing.  The participants login fine I can see them and they can see the pods I have open but the screen is not sharing.  It acts as though it is sharing.  The Share button at the Bottom of the screen is there.  The Stop Sharing button is not there.  The Share pod is completely blank. I have noticed that the last time I had this problem was after the install of the adobe plugin that has to be done before you can share. Any suggestions on what my problem can be? Could this be due to the meeting times? The only way I have been able to fix this is by deleting the meeting and starting another.

If i am host of a meeting, is there a way (as in Microsoft Live Meeting) to click on a partecipant and send him out from the meeting?Thanks

If i buy Adobe Connect for individuals i can choos to buy it for month or for a year, and i can buy for just 1 host.If i buy as a company, they said to me that i have to buy almost 3 hosts licences and i have to pay a una tantum fee.The limit for 100 attendees is valid for the individual version too?What is the difference? Quality of conference is the same?Thanks

I am in the process of creating a Flashbuilder application that will log onto Adobe Connect 8 and draw a whole lot of info off of the server.I am able to log onto Adobe Connect from my application.Now I would like to have some text that says "Welcome Dimitri Merritt" (obviously whatever the users name is). If I have read the documentation correctly I should be able to us x-user-id. I have tried this but without luck. Can somebody please help me out?Dimtiri
