Hi, Assume we have 100 licenses. We want to have the ability to see how many licenses are available for use when we schedule a meeting. This is not available "as is" in the product. What we have is a report query facility to see the total number of meeting hosts. What we may need is a software that pulls information realtime from the Adobe Connect Pro Enterprise Server and then uses the information when another meetign is scheduled during the same time/date? Thanks
To whom it may concern: While installing an Adobe version upgrade from version 8.00 to version 9.0,I discovered that to do so I was required to input version 8.00's serial number which I have misplaced or lost over the past several years. I need a replacement serial number for my old version of Adobe 8.00 pro. My original Adobe I.D is jackk36@aol.com My current Adobe I.D. is now jackk36@embarqmail.com I am encolosing what proof of purchase information that I've been able to find:- Doc_1 The systems error report while doing the upgrade. Doc_2 My Visa purchases report for the purchase of version 8.00 Pro software.
I've just noticed that whatever ppt file I publish, even with autoplay and 5 sec duration, when shared in Connect Pro it just sits there on slide 1, not moving. Any ideas? tried this on two different PCs and two different Connect Pro main (hosted) accounts Thanks
Trial Acro Connect Pro a/c, trying to use cam, followed the 'Install latest Connect add-in" routine - on 3 different machins, it just hangs Connect Pro - message is "Loading Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro" Have tried both with and without AV. Firewall is not on. Is there a problem with the add-in, or is it an adobe.com download issue? Thanks
When I try to connect to Acrobat Connect I get the following message: ***Adobe Acrobat Connect requires Flash Player 8.0.22 or newer*** I know I have the latest Flash Player installed (even reinstalled just to be on the safe side) To support this the checking app on the troubleshooting page are giving me thumbs up on all accounts: *** 1. Your version of Flash Player is supported (Supported) *** 2. Server Connection Test (Connected) *** 3. Connection Speed Test (Your connection is LAN speed) *** 4. Acrobat Connect Add-in Test (Installed) I'm using the following: Mac OSX 10.5.5 / Intel Core 2 Duo Firefox or Safari (Same problem in both browsers) Suggestions (or solution) anyone? Help is very much appreciated.
I'm a relatively new user of Connect Professional 6 and would like to source training - online training, books, classroom training. I'm not finding much that is helping me really figure out how to use the program. Can anyone recommend something to me? Thanks!
When logging into Adobe Connect to set up a meeting room, I received a message that I needed to download Flash Player. No reason for this to occur as I've been setting up and using meeting rooms for over a year. I downloaded and installed Flash but this still didn't solve the problem. Is anyone else seeing this or suggest a solution?
I have some movie files (in .avi and .mpg format) that I would like to show in a Connect meeting. Can anyone recommend software that's good for converting these files to .swf or .flv?
I'm just wondering if presenters have individual control over whether they see the Presenter Only area, or if the meeting host controls the view for everyone.
I've just started using Acrobat Connect Pro, and during our last meeting there was a very long delay (at least 5-6 seconds or more) between the time I spoke and the time participants/presenters were able to hear me. This created a lot of difficulties throughout the meeting. (The meeting was sent to DSL/Modem, presentations were in Content Library so I don't believe this had anything to do with bandwidth issues.) How do I avoid this in the future? Does anybody have any ideas why this might have happened?
I have a MacBook Pro running 10.5.x My company has a 'Windows' volume license for Acrobat Pro. I am currently running Acrobat Pro in Parallels, and like to not have to launch Windows ever time I need to manipulate/create a PDF document. How does one go about in transferring a PC license to Mac? or are they the same? If they are the same, how does one get a Mac version of the software? Trail version are Windows only.
Hi All, We're new to Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro and while we're impressed with many of the things we can do with the product we're struggling to get it to perform satisfactorily. I'm in charge of putting together our Annual Sales Conference via Connect Pro (Our 1st time trying it) before Tuesday, December 2nd and I'm really getting no where. I've uploaded 4 PowerPoint Presentations (4mb-86mb in size) and 2 videos, both of which play perfectly well until I upload it to my meeting room. Once uploaded these videos "pause" and resume at various points and I can't seem to do anything to effect this. (the powerpoint presentation seems to delay when advancing sometimes too but one thing at a time i guess.) The video was provided to me as a DVD. Using MacTheRipper I then extract the video and convert the resulting vobs to an MP4 which plays wonderfully on every computer I've tried. Using Sorenson Squeeze I then convert it using the Flash 6 786k preset (anything lower and the video quality b
Hi, I have did update of Connect 7 to Connect 7 SP1 on various servers but i have 2 servers that are giving the following notification after running the SP1's setup.exe and selecting the language. ScreenShot Here is the URL in the Notification http://www.adobe.com/go/msde_upgrade_en In short: It says i need to upgrade the embeded MSSQL server to 2005. But Connect 7 already uses MSSQL 2005 and the technote is about upgrading from 2000 to 2005. This only happened in 2 servers upgrade process and the others upgrade went flawless. Does anyone having the same issue or the have the solution?
The Connect MP3 Player - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&loc=en_us&extid=1695531 For me it appears the error: "...is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location: my.adobe.acrobat.com". What to make?
Hi, I'm suddenly getting loads of "Faulting module FMSCore.exe" errors/warnings filling up my App event log. I hope its not because, but I'm not ruling it out, of the Security update KB958644 which was applied the day before. Connect and Server Info. The Connect version is 6 with SP3, its a basic install (not an Edge) with the DB/content on the local disk, the server is a fairly decent Dell PowerEdge 1950 (running Win2k3 Enterprise SP2), I haven't yet patched it for the Flash Player 10 debacle but aim to do it soon. ---------------------- The Application error details are: Category: (100) Event ID: 1000 Faulting application FMSCore.exe, version 2.0.2.61, faulting module FMSCore.exe, version 2.0.2.61, fault address 0x001ca726. ---------------------- Then I get a whole host of these Warning messages in the App Event log: Source: FMS (Edge) Category: (264) Event ID: 1213 Connection rejected by server. Reason : [ Server.Reject ] : Virtual host _defaultVHost_ is not available. ----------
Hi Is there anyone that knows how to change the default text in the e-mail invitations? I want to change the english text to somthing in my language.
Is there an advanced dotNet editor by Adobe?
I had setup a Adobe Connect Pro 7 server and it works great within my company network. However, when I try to access the server at home, I can login the connect server but cannot get into any meeting. I try to run the connection test but it fails. Ports 80, 443, 1935 were allowed on company firewall. And I had check the Adaptor.xml that I had enable the HTTP tunneling. I can't figure it out, anyone can help?????
Camtasia Studio 6.0 has eliminated the FLV output in favor of MP4. They say because this is the direction Adobe Flash is taking, yet MP4 is not a content option. Will it be added?
We are looking for a way to use an incoming video signal - say, from a Skype video chat - as the "camera source" for an Adobe Connect webcast. So instead of using the attached webcam, the host of our meeting would be able to broadcast the Skype video stream. We need to be able to do this in real time, to ensure we stayin sync with a separate audio channel (being delivered outside of Adobe Connect). Anyone have any idea how to do this? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I can start a meeting on my Intel Mac, but if I try to share the screen, Acrobat Connect Add-in quits unexpectedly. Tried a lot of trashing prefs but still having problems. Even tried starting Safari under Rosetta. It didn't work. I would love to purchase and use Connect, but can't under this circumstance.
Has anyone experienced any integration issues between the just-released Flash Player 10 and Connect Pro 6? I ask this on the back of a 9.x update completely scuppering our Connect 6 screen-sharing functionality, requiring a rollback to an earlier version of the Flash 9 player.
The Acrobat Connect 'start meeting' toolbar shows up on my Adobe toolbar in word by default. I know you can disable this by 'unchecking' the toolbar manually. The issue is I want this turned off by default for all users. Is there a registry entry for this or something I can change in the deployment package (.msi) with the adobe Customization Wizard? The only registry entry I found actually disables the full Adobe PDF toolbar from loading, I just want to disable the 'Connect' portion. Thanks in advance.
Hello! I've installed Adobe Connect Pro Server 7 with the standard implemented Database. After I've completed the installation and configuration I can't login with the Administrator User I've created before. In the Log File I can only see 'no data found' Any ideas?
Does anyone know if Firefly simulation files can be embedded in an Adobe Connect presention? Thanks very much.
