I have several questions regarding the offline (downloaded) recordings. 1. Any suggestions on how to edit a recording that has been downloaded? Seems like an additional program (like Adobe Media Player) is needed just to play the recording when is has been downloaded offline. 2. With that in mind, does that mean if I put the recording on a CD or non-Flash -based server that the end user will need to either download a player or have it on the cd to be installed? 3. Seems like most NLI editors won't recognize the offline (Including Adobe Premiere Pro) .flv file or isn't it a true .flv file? 4. Wasn't Presenter 7 suppose to be able convert files and why does it do such a poor job of allowing offline .flv file to be inserted into a PowerPoint? Thank you in advance

We're in the process of upgrading to Connect Professional. Something that was easy to do in Breeze now seems difficult, if not impossible. We have Adobe Connect Professional with the Events Management module, hosted on our server. Please help! We have a number of short webinars on our website that we would like users to be able to view on their own, without any interaction from an administrator. Users should be able to click on the link, go to the Connect registration form, register and fill out a form, and the presentation should start immediately. What's happening so far is that users can register, but then they get a message indicating "Your registration has been accepted and the administrator will be notified." Then nothing happens. I've turned off approval required after registration, but the training still doesn't occur on-demand. And the administrator (me) doesn't get any notification. What's up? We've never seen this problem before but when we playback our recorded Connect events the videos exceed the margins of the Internet Explorer window. I'm using IE7 and tested it in Firefox which has the same problem but then crashes before you can playback the video. I have clients complaining that they cannont see the entire window. We advised them to resize the left or right margins, but that makes the video smaller and sometimes unviewable. So the question is...during playback, the screen is supposed to fit without having to adjust the size of the window....right? At least that's what it did before.

My colleage and I work in different parts of the state. We have been trying to get Acrobat ConnectNow to work in a vid-conf mode. He is using s MacBook Pro(OS X & loaded) and I am using a Dell desktop GX-520 (XP Pro SP3 also loaded). The MacBook Pro has a built-in webcam & mic. My Dell 20" LCD has a Logitech QuickCam® Ultra Vision w/mic. When we make a connect thru ConnectNow - the same problem occurs everytime. Both webcams function - we can see each other. When I speak, he can hear me clearly. But when he speaks into his mic - I cannot hear him at all. We have both checked our own equipment and test our own computers - everything checks out O.K. When we each go into ConnectNow we use the Preferences menu to select Speakers & Mic ==> Test Mic/Test Speakers and both of our devices check-out O.K. We both connectvia T-1 lines. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I amd missing my PDF Maker files??? They were there last night when I was working on my website, today, they are gone. Is there a place I can download them or do I need to do a reinstall? I tried doing the repair re-install, but that did not work

Has any one manged to get this product working trough a reverse proxy, such as apache and/or MS ISA (as Reverse Proxy). My situation is that I can get the product working by using a static NAT translation directly to the server. When I set the RP up on the ISA server, I can see traffic coming in and I get the login screen of the system but it then hangs on the connect stage, as if the return path is not getting out, I have opened up 80, 443 & 1935 inbound and outbound to no avail, yet when I give it direct access and set the ports open inside and outside I can get to the server with no problems. We have one firewall which is the entry point then another just in front of the Adobe server. Has anyone come across this issue before and if so can anyone please help. I don't really want to give it a direct route as we would like some security with this box, and a reverse proxy would be a better solution for this. My company is looking into setting up SSL for Adobe Connect Pro 7. I've looked at the documentation and have tried to find online the best way to generate a CSR for our server. The application and meeting server reside on one server currently. So how do I go about generating a CSR and submitting it to say Thawte or Verisign? OpenSSL? Keytool? Any other method? I've done this for Apache using OpenSSL before but that was on a Linux server. I've also done this for IIS 6.0 Can anyone point me in the right direction to doing this or give me instructions here?

Hello, We are trying to extend our Connect instance using custom fields. I was able to create a "test" custom field against a SCO object type -but for some reason, I cannot see this new field when editing the information of a object from within the Connect Enterprise Manager. I am a novice. How can I save a Publisher file as a PDF file?

Hello everyone, We just recently migrated from Breeze 5 (through 6) to Adobe Connect Pro 7, and love it. Our faculty are also happy with it and I'm glad of that! Now I've got a problem on my office computer. The following doesn't happen on other users' computers, just mine. I am able to start an Adobe Connect Pro 7 meeting, but when I go to start the voice and cam pod, the meeting says I'm not sending my camera and voice. The voice and cam pod turns black with the default gray avatar and my name, and the microphone controls show they are on... but... no audio and no camera. There was no prompt to allow voice and cam. The meeting just assumed it was all working-- but it ain't. I've tried all kinds of troubleshooting steps. I've drilled into windows XP audio settings and made sure the correct mic was selected. I've gone through RealTek's audio troubleshooting wizard. I've even opened up Adobe Presenter in Microsoft Powerpoint 2007 and successfully captured video and audio into a Powe

I really need to make some changes in text in excicting PDF file. Because the font isn’t installed on my system but is embedded or subsetted in the PDF i can't do it.Font is UniversLTStd. If you have any idea where i can get it from, please let me know. Any suggestions?

When I used to use Acrobat 6 I did not have to save the file after scanning. Now using version 8 it looks like I have to name the file before I scan, but I don't want to save the file, I just want to email it. Please help.

I am not sure how to send an all XML post request to the Adobe XML API in C#. I created an HttpWebRequest and I can form a request vai the GET command that uses name value pair variables but I would like to contruct an all XML request for my application. I just completed three days of recording a Webinar with Breeze and really, really need to edit it! Is it possible to edit Breeze without having to buy more software, or pay someone? Are there any programs out there, where I can learn quickly - I am tech savvy and to have some design/coding experience... Is there anyone who can help! All I have done was download the CESL_7_ESD1.exe file to my desktop. When I try to run it I get the error: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item". I suspected a correct download, so I re-downloaded the file but go the same results. Of course, Adobe provided zero upgrade documentation... 😞

When I use an Adobes hosted server in Europe (EMEA) and have participants from different parts of the world, are they connected directly to the EMEA server or to the nearest Edge server? If they are, is there any map or information available about how many edge servers there are in the world and where they are located for the hosted service? Dan

I've got a server installation of Connect 6 running at my University, but for some reason the Outlook plugin does not work. I give it some valid credentials yet it rejects them. We have recently moved to Exchange - would this affect it? Anyone had any similar issues? I've used the Outlook plugin fine with external rooms, but my own rooms, hosted within the Uni, don't work! My users want to change the message that appears in the browser window on submit when their participants register for a Connect Event. Current message is labeled "Registration Confirmation" and appears to be hard coded: event/registration_confirm.html Where can I find the HTML for this message so I can alter it? I've just used Adobe Connect 6.5 for the first time on Mac OS 10.4. It's a disaster for two reasons: first, I was unable to share anything; each time I tried the system crashed. More importantly, the installer seems to have hidden something on my disk that brings up my Mac in grayscale mode. I tossed the two connection files in the trash, I've checked system preferences, but I can't find what Adobe did to my system. I want to uninstall this software, undo the damage it's done, and return my MacBook to its previous working condition.
