Digital Editions

Suddenly ADE stopped opening. Uninstall/reinstall doesn't work. Deleting "/My Digital Edition/" doesn't work. If install 4.0 it works, and immediately asks to upgrade to 4.5, and as soon as I do that, it fails again. Hi, I just got a new laptop, and it will not authorize my new computer so I can read a textbook for school. It still works on my old computer, but will not allow me to deauthorize my old computer, and then authorize my new computer. It has been nothing short of a nightmare, as I cannot get any of the 'help' tips to work. Can someone please help me. It actually just disappeared completely from my library, and will not allow me to re download it into the digital editions.

Seems quite a common issue and still Adobe is not able to solve it? Companies are paying licenses and forcing their customers to use ADE, which does not work.what crap of a software Adobe builds?

Hello.I installed a pdf ebook with Digital Edition On my Computer. OK. But i want to install this same book on my tablet with digital Edition for Android. Not Ok : I receive a message tha says the licence is "already fullfilled by another user". Any solution please ?

Hello,  I am trying to de-authorize my adobe editions because I put in the wrong email, but when I go to erase the authorization it says my credentials "do not match" (use to say that the password is invalid). I tried calling customer service but they said to go to "adobe forums", but Im not sure what that is. If anyone can help here please let me know or if you know who I can call!!  Thank you! 

I have downloaded several ebooks which are EPUBs in the Aldiko ebook reader app on my Samsung android tablet. I am not using that app any longer and would like to read them using Adobe Digital Editions.  The Adobe ID for the Aldiko app is Aldiko-feedbooks, which I didn't realize I used until I had downloaded several of them, instead of my usual Adobe ID.  Since I can't change the Adobe ID for these specfic ebooks (or can I?), I would like to be able to read them in Adobe Digital Editions.  However, when I try to use Aldiko-feedbooks as my Adobe ID, there is not a choice to select that particular one. Why is this not available as a selection in ADE? I've tried to manually type it in but it doesn't allow this. Can another vendor be used?  Otherwise, I can't get to my books.  Thank you for your assistance.

Hi, I am having troubles with my PDF textbook for my University class. For some odd reason it says that my PDF is missing. I searched everywhere on my Macbook to see if the PDF was renamed etc, but I still can't seem to fix this problem. What do I do? I need the text for class, is there anyway to redownload without having to pay since I've paid for the text already? 

Utilizo adobe digital edition desde hace muchos años. Ultimamente me daba problemas para reconocer mi ereader, aunque con mucha paciencia, al final lo resolvía y podía transferir ebook al mismo. Ahora directamente al abrir el programa me desaparece la conexión al libro electrónico y ésta solo queda como carga de batería. Tengo que reiniciar varias veces para que el pc encuentre el ereader pero en cuanto abro el programa para poder hacer la transferencia , desaparece y vuelve a quedar como cargador de batería. No encuentro solución al problema.¿ Me pueden ayudar?. Gracias anticipadas. Un saludo

Hey everyone, are there any third party tools that will help Digital Editions?I have to use it for documents as its the EReader my industry uses, and im so over it. -slow scrolling-inconsistent scrolling -no text edit options-bookmarks... just wow.. i mean all of it.  any help? 

I got an eBook not realizing that it is an ePUB format rather than a PDF format. I need the PDF format so that the pages in the eBook match up with the pages in the real book. At the top under the Reading tab (on Mac) it shows the option for PDF view, but I can't click it (the options are greyed out). So is there any way to change the format of the eBook from ePUB to PDF so that the pages match with the real book?

Hi,I had purchased an ebook textbook for school purposes, while on a public library computer. The day of purchasing i was able to access my ebook. When returning to the public library another day, I was unable to sign in to Adobe that was associated with my ebook, as it says it is not the authorized Vendor ID. I had tred all possible log ins that I would have used and none of which have allowed me to access my ebook. Looking for assistance to access my ebook as it is needed for my current school courses. Wondering if maybe being on a public library would impact why i cannot access my ebook. Thank you.

Using my laptop in tablet mode, I can only scroll by tapping the scroll bar in certain place. This gives me a partial page down down effect rather than a smooth scroll. Touching anywhere else brings up my keyboard. I have no "preferences" options to change this. It's super annoying when I have hours of reading.  How can I switch to smooth scroll? I am using Windows 10 with a Lenovo Flex, pdf version of the text. Thanks

**I have a MacNook paper backlit When I attempt to put a library book on my Nook I get one of two messages:"Error Dialog- This book has been returned. Loan not on record." - .epub"This NOOK cannot read this file. It may be an unsupported format." - .acsm My Nook only supports .epub however, I wanted you to be aware of what happens when attempting to use an .acsm. I tried installing ADE 3.0 per previous posts however, it's no longer supported with the IOS I have. I had to download ADE 4.5.11 in order for ADE to open.  I have two books I am trying to read. I returned one of the books and rechecked it out, that didn't work.  My Nook and compture are both authorized under the same account. 

Ebook publishers can be an ebook vendor in ADE. In other words, "PHI Learning" name can also be in the drop down menu when ADE asks to authorize it and the option to choose ebook vendor is shown.I am ebook publishers .What is the process to add eBook Vendor in dropdown. please suggest 

Whenever I try to download books, this message occurs and the download fails.

I have a customer that is trying to authorize/activate Digital Editions on two PC's with the same account. The ebook works on one of those computers but not the second. The Digital Editions on both computers have the same account, but when I try and open the book on the second PC, I get the following error:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLE_BY_ANOTHER_USER The first computer had this problem when first activating the ebook, but then we decided to come back the next day and continue looking at it. But when we came back the next day, it started working without us doing anything, so I can't replicate the results. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, deactivating, reactivating. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Thoughts?

Ich hatte in kurzer Zeit zwei Tolinos ersetzen müssen und den PC. Jetzt wollte ich die neuen Geräte anmelden und dann kommt die Meldung dass ich die zulässige Anzahl von 6 Geräten überschreite. Was nicht sein kann, ausser es  zählt die kaputten Geräte immer noch mit. Ich kann da ja nix tun...

I am having trouble downloading an ebook through adobe digital editions 4.5.11. When I select it, I get endless new tabs, until I have to shut the browser down. What could be the problem?

The "find" function worked for a few minutes, then froze, then worked again for a few minutes, and now seems permanently locked. When I first logged on, the "edit" item at the top. when clicked, gave two options: "copy" and "find." Now "find" is missing.

When I try to authorize my computer it will not allow me. It says there is an activation error.

I am trying to open my textbook "BUS 1299 E-BOOK BUSINESS FOR ENGINEERS" and I just get a message saying "License key is damaged". 

please adobe, provide me with an email adress for help. It is so difficult to explain. I cannot find any answer or solution on the website. I have 2 accounts, i want to delete one but that seems to be impossible because i cannot sign in with that old account. Greetings from Holland

Hi, I've bought three ebooks. They need me to use Adobe Bluefire to read them. I downloaded Bluefire onto my iPad okay. But Bluefire wants me to log in with an Adobe ID. I made one today. But I forgot, I must have made one about 6-7 years ago. I get the message (where I think "this item" means Bluefire):"This item was originally downloaded with a different user account or Adobe ID. To continue, please add that account." There is no option to skip. I spent $88 dollars on these books for my university course. The book link will expire in three days. Please help me with what do do about the different user account

Suddendly, I cannot copy any of the text in Adobe Digital Editions. Neither can I highlight. When I try to highlight text, the programme just closes down. And when I open it again, it does not open on the page I left off. It opens the page I was reading two weeks ago. I do not know what to do. Can you please help?
