Digital Editions

I have files that I have erased repeatedly but they keep reappearing when ADE syncs with Cloud Sync. I have disabled the Sync function in Preferences and I have even manually deleted the CloudSync folder in Docs/My Digital Editions but those files just keep popping up!How do I access my files in the cloud to get rid of them for good?And yes, I have tried erasing authorization, reauthorizing, uninstalling ADE and reinstalling ADE about 10 times now

Nearly every time when I load a book, I have to sign in in Digital edition. Therefore I got the information that I have registered 6 devices. Please make it possible that i can read again

Hey guys, it's the usual post about the authorization limit reached. If you wouldn't mind could you reset it for me? PS, DRM doesn't stop piracy all it does is hurt us consumers. If I want to download ebooks for free I could have already had my book on the tablet but because i'm trying to do it legally the DRM is preventing me from doing so. Just keep that in mind in the future because never once has DRM stopped piracy.

I have a dedicated 100Mbps connection to the internet on a high-end workstation and find this product's response unusable.  Adobe is making money out of the DRM for ebooks but failing to provide a basic reader.  Looking at forums since has been a problem since 2009. Very disappointing.  I would encourage other people to contact ebook authors and lobby them to use another platform.  The fact we are not seeing any comments from Adobe, is quite submissive.  I hope I am proven wrong and Adobe seriously looks at a re-write of this application.

I've seen this problem on a few different threads, but nothing within the past year. Are people still have trouble like me? Borrowing books from the library and importing them to my kobo touch. When I go to read it on my kobo a message pops up that says this book is protected by DRM...you need to re-import the book using ADE. I've tried this over and over, different books, resetting my computer and kobo, redownloading ADE...nothing works!!!

I have my computer ADE authorization for an old e-mail and forgot the password.  I need to change that authorized e-mail  to my current address but cannot access the account due to not having the password.  

Hello,I keep having an issue with re-authorizing a company laptop with ADE.It is a new laptop, and we had it set up with ADE and authorized it. We had to repair Windows because there were some permissions limitations, and we had that fixed.Then, we installed ADE once again, and this we failed to authorize the laptop, due to the following error - E_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONSI had contacted chat support twice, both times being promised a resolution in a few hours (2-4 hours the first time, and then 24-48 hours the second one around).It is becoming an issue since we have DRM protected books we need to have access to and read.Here is an up-to-date screenshot of the error:Please, a working resolution would be more then appreciated.Best.

To whom it may concern, I recently purchased a web PDF formatted ebook.  In order to read the ebook I needed to access it through Adobe Digital Editions.  When I attempted to download the ebook, I was unable to open it as numerous times the message "license server communication problem: e_stream_error."  In an attempt to open the contents of the ebook, I then de-authorised my computer and then authorised it. After doing this, I again attempted to open the ebook but this time the message read "license server communication problem: E-Lic- already fulfilled by another user." Going forward, any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

While trying every method mentioned to get ADE4.5 to work, it hangs.  3.0 works perfectly for me, but lately it (without asking) updates to 4.5.6 which will not work for me.  How/where do I keep 3.0 from automatically updating?  As it stands, I have to uninstall 4.5, and reinstall 3.0 about twice a week.  I keep the 3.0 installer in a file on my desktop, since I use it so often.  I use Windows 10.  I thought I'd looked at every conceivable place for a box to check/uncheck, but I can't find the place.  Any help would be apprecitated

Hello User Community,I have a problem and I can't find any help. We created a PDF e-book for a customer who wants to offer it to his readers with DRM via the Adobe Content Server. It is an extensive e-book, where the full text search (advanced search) is very helpful. (for understanding: I don't mean the general search in the ADE, where I can click from hit to hit, but an overview list, which is usually displayed on the left in a column with all xx hits) The problem is: In the PDF in ADE I can't click the magnifying glass for the search, it's not clickable. Also the key combination alt+strg+f does not help.I've read a lot of forum entries, but this problem hasn't been described anywhere yet. Workflow: We create the book in InDesign, export it to PDF (Acrobat DC). In Acrobat DC I can also use the full text search, that works without problems.Then the PDF is loaded to the ACS and from there via the acsm file to the ADE. Hi,I correctly bought from Google Play Books a text full of images. I downloaded the .acsm and opened it with ADE (latest version on Mac).When I open the .acsm with ADE (and this is the only option I have, since it has DRM protection), it then downloads the full PDF; problem is that I can see the text but all the images seem to be in high contrast black and white. Being the PDF a radiology textbook, this issue makes the book completely unusable.I contacted Google, tried all the steps they told me to do (like de-authorizing, removing and re-installing ADE, re-authorizing, etc), but still nothing.Google told me that it has to be with Adobe and to contact you for assistance: this forum seems to be my only option (searching through the forum I found only another user having my same issue with a textbook full of graphs, and he hadn't have any useful response).Can you help me? I have received the below error message; Unable to download Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERI have received this countless times and nothing in the forums will fix it. It is ridiculous that the only program that is able to open this program doesn't work and we have to go to great lengths to make it work. I would like some help on this issue please. I have done all the basic troubleshooting on the Adobe website.

Hello, So I payed 65$ to download a book, I opened it about two times, but when I went to open it for the third time it kept on saying "error" and did not allow me to open the book at all. So I went online to look for solutions: they told me to unauthorize my computer, remove the book, reauthorize my computer, and then re-download the book. But when I went to redownload it says: "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER"I dont understand why this is occurring because I am using the same computer I downloaded the book on.

I cannot download library books using Adobe Digital Editions.

On W8.1, I installed the latest one and when I exit it always crashes! Adobe, a release fix coming up our way? Thanks!

Hello !I can't authorize my new computer with my Adobe ID (error with the activation server, code E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED) It's the second time this has happened to me : already happened on my previous computer, the only solution I found back then was to create a new adobe ID using a new email address. But since I don'twant to have to create a new email address everytime I get a new computer just in order to be able to use the service and borrow books from the library, I was wondering wether someone had a solution ?Thanks in advance,Juliette

Hi,I've been comparing some eReaders from Kobo. I'd like to use Adobe Digital Editions with the reader. On the supported models page: http://blogs.adobe.com/aemmobile/supported-devices , there is no Kobo Clara HD model, although it is one of the latest models, and when searching about it, it seems odd it wouldn't have support? No indication anywhere that it didn't have this compatibility. Could someone confirm if this model really lacks ADE support, or is the list just not yet updated? I was also wondering if the Aura H20 on the list includes the 2nd edition too? Very appreciated if someone has info about these.

I have downloaded epub library books to Adobe Digital Editions bookshelf and copied them to my device's library but when I try to open them on my device, the message is "Your eREeader is not authorized to open this book" saying because my device has previously been deauthorized i need to reimport the book. I have both reimported and reauthorized (and this is a brand new KOBO eReader) my device. Any suggestions?

I just bought some ebooks protected with DMR on IBS. I can not download them with adobe digital edition and I receive the following error: Unable to download. License recovery error. License server communication problem E_ADEPT_DISTRIBUTOR_AUTH. (I receive the message in Italian, I translated it, the translation may not correspond to the same message in English)Has anyone had the same problem? Can someone help me?Thanks a lot!

Updated to ADE 4.5.10.  Have tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing my computer (Windows 10).  Seems OK if I import a book that I have purchased but crashes every time I try to import a book that is DRM-protected.  Not able to load the book or open it to read even in ADE.  Also unable to transfer to eReader through ADE (although this is fine with a purchased book).  Any suggestions?

Book download opens on PC, copies to ereader but won't open on ereader - get message 'file open error'. Other book download from same store opens fine on ereader!
