Digital Editions

Hi all, I just downloaded ADE 4.5 to access a uni book I bought online. After installing it, I tried to open an acsm file and then ADE just crashed. I tried repeatedly, but it opens for seconds, then crashes. The report says: Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11 Segmentation fault: 11. How can I fix this? Thanks,Giulia

I enabled ADE on one device, but need to access the book I purchased on a different device. I have downloaded ADE and logged in but it says I am unable to access the book because it says it was downloaded on another device. 

Helloi am having an activation issue with Adobe Digital Editions v4.5.11 on my new windows 11 notebook.When selecting Help and then Authorize Computer, I get error: Activation Server error. code E_AUTH_NOT_READY. digital edition 4.5.11 cant open any document after installed python 3.6

I have ADE latest version 4.5.1  It doesn't help me when trying to transfer books to my Kobo Libra. I am constantly getting the DRM message.  I have to go a roundabout way to de-DRM books that takes literally hours to accomplish.  Why is the app so disappointing?

I've been using ADE and Sony Reader software with my Sony PRS-650 Reader for 11 years to download books from our public library. All of a sudden, downloaded books are greyed out in the Reader software on my PC and won't download to the device itself. I've read all the relevant stuff on here, have upgraded to ADE 4.5.11, unauthorised and re-authorised both my PC and my reader, rebooted everything I can think of but the problem remains. I've tried deleting the books and the downloads. Each time I download, the book is just greyed out. If I redownload, the software says the book is already on the device.  Really frustrating - any ideas are welcome! 

First, I have tried the suggestion in previous posts of deauthorizing my computer, uninstalling Adobe Digital Editions (ADE), restarting computer, reinstalling ADE, and reauthorizing my computer. No problem authorizing computer with Adobe ID. The problem comes when I tried to read a book downloaded from EBSCOhost e-books. Didn’t have the problem with books downloaded from ProQuest. When I attempt to read an EBSCOhost e-book, I receive a message that the computer needs to be authorized with a vendor ID to read the book. When I select “continue,” and attempt to log in with my Adobe ID, I receive this message, “to authorize computer to open this item, enter your login ID and password associated with this item and click on authorize button.” On the same screen, there is also this error message, “the vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again.” The drop down menu for EBook vendor is greyed out so there is not an option to choose a different

Hello Community,I have a problem with a document I downloaded on ADE on iPad:On my iPad 8 (2019) with the latest software (iPadOS 15.2.1), entire stretches of pages are rendered as if an ink printer were running out of ink (see screenshots). Some pages are also completely blank.Interestingly, the "broken" pages display fine on the desktop app (version 4.5.11.187606) on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) running macOS Catalina (version 10.15.7 (19H1715)). So it can't be the document itself, right?Also, in neither version of the e-paper do the hyperlinks in the text work. Only the table of contents has hyperlinks to the chapters. .... Not quite what you would expect from an e-book.Does anyone in the community have a tip on how I can fix this?Thanks a lot and best regards,Julian

I downloaded a library ebook into Digital Special Editions on my computer. It opens there fine.  I have my Nook Authorized.  However, when I copy ebook to the Nook, it will not open.  I get the message: "This book has been returned. Loan not on record."  Help, please.

Von der Mediathek habe ich ein ebook ausgeliehen. Die Datei war eine ascm Datei. Diese habe ich mit ADE in ein epup umgewandelt. Aber ich kann das Buch trotzdem nicht öffnen in meinem Reader.Was mache ich falsch????

I am having a problem in Adobe Digital Editions. I have no problems authorizing my computer with my Adobe ID and login. However, when I attempt to read a book, I receive the message that the computer needs to be authorized with a vendor ID to read the book. I have read books previously using my Adobe ID to authorize my computer and have not had a problem or these messages. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, last week I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions on my PC in order to be able to borrow books from my library and transfer them to my Kobo Libra H2O.  It worked fine, no problem.  So now I want to borrow another book, I have it on my computer and can open it and read it.  But I want to transfer it on my Kobo.  I can do the transfer from my computer to my Kobo but when I try to open it on my Kobo, I get a message that this book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management  (DRM). So I uninstalled Adobe Digital Editions and reinstalled it again.  Still works fine on my computer, I'm still able to transfer it to my Kobo, but I get the same message.  But it's now saying also that since I unauthorized my Kobo previously, I have to reimport the book again.  Which I did again and again.  I authorized the device on my PC.  So I don't know what to do anymore.  Can somebody help me?  Sorry for my english, I speak french.  Thank

I shared an ebook between my Mac and my Ipad2. ADE appears to work properly on both but on MAC all pages are diplayed while on Ipad only the cover in Library.When I clic on the cover Ipad starts the "mumbling wheel" for few seconds then stops and nothing happens.

Bonjour à tous, J'ai parcouru également de nombreux forum, et notamment celui-ci, pour comprendre comment lire des livres empruntés à la Bibliothèque Municipale de Paris et rien à faire.J'ai essayé avec ADE 4.5.11 puis ADE3.0 et également ADE 3.0 désautorisé et autorisé l'ordinateur et la liseuse, séparément et ensemble retéléchargé le fichier Epub et rien n'y fait : les autorisations sont sur l'ordi (qui lit très bien mais c'est sans intérêt!) et la liseuse et cela ne marche pas pour la liseuse (que j'ai aussi réintialisée) qui publie constamment le message ;" Votre liseuse n'est pas autorisée à ouvrir ce livre..." et la suite.Ce qui est aussi impressionnant est que appremment certains solutions fonctionnent pour des chanceux et pas pour d'autres!Et je n'ai pas réussi à avoir de l'aide de la Bibliothèque Municipale de Paris - on ne peut pas dire que la recherche d'une aide soit simple!Ma config est classique : W10 et Edge et KOBO AuraJe suis également assez fatigué de ce gachis (

Hi I can't find my s22ultra nor my tab a8 in ADE, all the books are on my laptop and work. I've tried to connect my broken(screen) e-reader and it got actually picked up in the device list, but none of the other devices are. Anyone know what to do please? I'm travelling from Monday onwards so really need some help. Thx

I cannot open ADE . I have reinstalled it and also tried version 3 but that wouldn't authorise it. Can anyone help please as I need to download a library book? 

Bonjour,  Je suis découragé, je ne sais plus quoi faire.  J'ai une liseuse qui fonctionne sans problème. Celle de ma conjointe par contre, c'est beaucoup plus difficile.  Tout est bien autorisé sur mon compte, Adobe digital editions, mon ordinateur et la liseuse en question.  Une fois que je mets le livre sur ma liseuse, j'ai le message ; Votre liseuse n'est pas autorisé à ouvrir ce livre Ce livre est protège par DRM, ayant des autorités votre liseuse précédemment, vous devez le réimporter en utilisant ADE.  Donc, je supprime le livre de ma liseuse et je le supprime de mon ordinateur, télécharge a nouveau le livre et le message apparaît toujours.  J'ai désinstaller l'application et réinstaller, essayé d'installer la version 3 (mais mon pc ne le supporte pas), enlever l'autorisation et la remettre, RIEN NE FONCTIONNE!!! J'ai besoin de votre aide SVP  Merci de vos futurs commentaires   &nb

Hey guys! I recently bought an e-workbook for school and I'm not able to use my keyboard to type or add comments on the workbook file. As the e-book is in the Adobe Editions software, when I right-click the add comment or highlight options are greyed out. Does anyone know how I can digitally write directly on the e-book?

Ik heb een vraag over het downloade en ophalen van mijn ebook in Adobe Digital Editions. Wanneer ik mijn ebook heb gedownload en wil openen krijg ik de melding: Downloaden is mislukt. Fout bij ophalen licentie. Communicatieprobleem met licentieserver. E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER. Ik gebruik dit account al 3 jaar en heb er eigenlijk nooit problemen mee gehad. Heb sinds kort wel een nieuwe computer.

Bonjour,J'essaie d'emprunter le même livre une 2e fois -  après avoir rendu le premier prêt à la bibliothèque et après avoir vérifié que la référence à ce premier prêt avait bien disparu de mon dossier ADE et de mon dossier à la bibliothèque - et j'obtiens le message suivant dans ADE lorsqu'il essaie d'ouvrir le fichier:  "L'enregistrement pour ce prêt est introuvable sur cette machine. Le livre a peut-être été restitué." Note: avant de télécharger le 2e emprunt, j'ai effacé toutes les références à ce livre sur mon ordinateur.J'utilise la version 4.5 d'Adobe Digital Editions et Chrome comme navigateur. L'application utilisée pour le prêt est 'Pretnumerique'. Avez-vous déjà eu ce problème et pouvez-vous me donner une piste de solution? Merci!

My account uses an old mailaddress which is not in use anymore. The code is unknown and not to track down. To change autorization in purpose of my ereader I need to activate the account. How to manage? 

This is frustrating to say the least.There is no way for a user to just delete ALL device activated on account.Thus only to deactivate computer NOT ereader.Cannot read my ebooks from library.I use command + alt + shift - D did not erase old ereaderI heard rumers that you have to have a paid acccount to delete activated devices is that true?Also website naviation is terriable can't know where and whom to contact to fix this issue.One Star.Adobe Tech Support Please advise.
