Hello I have a Mac and I'be trying for one hour to install adobe dimension but once I'm in the installer it asks me to "insert the password of the system", the password od Adobe doesn't work, my appleID password doesn't work, what password is it talking about?  

Anyone else had this problem that they didn't have the canvas option in dimensions

If you have to scroll through an object's material list to materials farther down, Dimension will jump back back up the material list and select a different material or just scroll back up the list when you attempt to select a material. It's not possible to rename materials farther down the list either because Dimension jumps back up and attempts to rename a different material instead.Recreate: apply 5 different materials or decals to a single object, using the wand if necessary. Scroll down the materials list and try select or rename a material at the bottom of the list. The list will scroll back up and select the last material that fits within the list default view.Trying to rename Material 9 (5th in the list) jumps up to Black Matte (4th in the list).

Changing the base colour of a material with a CMYK code keeps having a bug where Dimension changes the code while inputting, preventing you from completing the correct code. Put any CMYK colour code in order and during Y code input Dimension will change all the codes to random settings.

Whether applying the Generate UVs feature to the whole OBJ model or a magic wand selection, Dimension has an error applying an image or doesn't appear to generate the UVs. All the error says: There was a problem reading the file. This is referring to any PNG or JPG applied to the material, dragged-and-drop, or import image to model. The OBJ file was made in Plasticity and exported as triangles. This was a cylindrical jar import test to see how we could fix the issue and import more complex designs. So far, no imported OBJs can be unwrapped in Dimension.FYI, I tried attaching the OBJ and DN files to this but the setup doesn't allow files with the extension. It might be helpful to enable them in order to share working files for problemsolving.

I don't have the canvas option in dimensions so I can't set the resolution and size...

While there is so much about version 4 that I prefer over previous versions the mapping is vastly inferior for the reason I'll outline below.I wasn't crazy about the mapping graphic to object previously but what made it work was that I could import a photoshop document and and tweaks I needed to make i could click the edit button on the graphic in Dimension which would open it in photoshop, I'd make the tweaks, save and it was instantly reflected in Dimension. The edit feature is now gone. When you import a graphic you're stuck with it and if you save it externally you have to reimport it and you lose all your parameters. Moving the graphic around the object is erratic, at times not moving and at others jumping. I'm surprised that you can't import parameters for position like you can with scale.Please, please, please can we have the edit graphic button back as I'm currently taking many times longer for an inferior result.Unless I'm missing something that someone can enlighten me on&nbs

Does anyone have knowledge on how to add raised varnish to a label in Dimension? I have supplement labels that contain different plate setups but I'm really only able to nail down gloss, and matte separations. Tactile and raised SVG are next to impossible to do in Dimension because you can't add details like embossing to a specific layer when you're adding the material. For example, I have one layer for the label itself which has the material linked. I then add the separations for the metallic spots and can adjust those to have metallic on the label. However, if I want to add a raised texture to one of the layers inside, there's no option to do so. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, the latest version of Dimension can't import .obj files such as the one here: https://we.tl/t-O7FQ21UH2oI'm stuck to version 3.4.7 Build 3.4.7-20221201.r.4054-0f693b0: it still imports theese files correctly. This .objs are made as follow: first a .dae is exported from Artioscad, then imported in Keyshot, from Keyshot to obj. Please don't judge............ Thanks! ps: i coudn't upload this obj in the post because of the error in the attachment. It might help understand what's wrong.

Our workflow uses dimension daily to show realistic mockups for labels applied to various formats. Usually we need to create multiple layers in the label with different kinds of materials for example to show gold foil details or glossy/matte finishes. To do this we apply the Decal and then duplicate it multiple times to simulate the various print layers. With the latest update we are no longer able to duplicate the decal applied to an object. Also, there are some issues with how the decal is rendered, at times there are white lines/breaks in the "label".  We have tried applying a second decal on the object and are able to, but we then need to align the two decals by eye and it is never perfectly aligned in the end. This is a huge issue for us as Dimension has been the best way to give realistic mockups to our clients with a good indication of the final effect when printed. This issue is an issue that the whole team is having on both mac and windows computers.

Placed graphics "jumping" every time I try to precisely place/and or size it on an object. This is affected in every version of Dimension I try. I tried generating UVs. I've tried everything. Adobe support is no help. Does anyone have a solution for this? The program is unusable without being able to place graphics properly. I am on an Apple M3 running Swquoia 15.0.1

Hello everyone. I'm having an issue in Dimensions where whenever I add a decal to the wet can model, the material for the side and top of the can flip, I have no idea why this is happening. When adding an image from the starter assets, I don't have this issue, only when importing a PNG or JPEG to place on the model does this happen. I've attached pictures of what I'm experiencing, I've tried brute forcing solutions like trying different image formats or generating UV's before adding the decal, but nothing is changing this outcome. Strangely when turning on raytracing, the colours reset to how they should be, but the decal goes missing. Does anyone know a solution to this? Or is this a bug with the current version?

Yesterday I spent 8 hours plus working on a dimension 2d project. Dimension would regularly freeze in grey on me so I began saving every few minutes and at the end of the day I made sure to save the file as something memorable. Today I went to open the app and my file was nowhere to be find. There was the file listed in most recent list but file not found yet I never deleted the file. I never moved the file either and I did a thorough search to see if it ended up somewhere else. This would be impossible because only lastweek I did my regular spring clean and export to ext HD. So I lost an entire day and then when I started over I noticed Dimension ripping through my memory so now I have made as much memore available as possible. It's stupid because the project I lost is a painstaking process of selecting one of over 60 objects to change their color and dimension. You can not group them in order to change many which is the craziest oversight! Also yor cannot select to upload t

I am unable to open any .dn documents in Adobe Dimension. This includes documents created in previous versions of Dimension and any new documents I create. Once I have closed out of Dimension and try to open a document I just created get the error message "Unable to Open Document". I am using version 4.04. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. I sent a ticket to Adobe about this issue back in April 2024 and never received an answer. I've had this issue since version 3.4.11. 

Sería tremendamente cómodo que los materiales aparecieran replegados y solo desplegados aquellos que usamos la última ves que abrimos le programa. Otra posibilidad es que aparezcan priemro los materiales que mas usamos. Es tedioso nada más empezar que esté todo desplegado y tener que ir cerrando pestañas hasta llegar a la que más usamos. En nuestro caso son los plásticos. Echamos de menos un par de plásticos básicos, uno glossy y uno matte, sencillos y rápidos de usar. Por otro lado, no sabemso si será un error del programa pero algunos plásticos aparecen translúcidos nada más aplicarlos cuando no deben serlo salvo que se toquen los ajustes. Por ahora eso es todo. Gracias. 

I downlaoded an .OBJ file from Turbosquid but am getting an error message when I drag and drop "Unable to Import Model". I'm not sure why this would happen as OBJ is a file format accepted by Dimension. Thank you in advance for your help!

Greetings all! In my work flow I noticed that Dimensions got worse with recent updates! I do many package mockups, and in older versions I used Tall box preset that was very good, easily adjustable to any size and very accurate small paper folds. Now I noticed that Tall box preset is gone, instead of it there is a Folded Paper box preset that really bad. It has horrible big paper folds that really make any package look like a cheap Chinese replica of an original high qiality box... I ended up importing higher quality paper box 3d models but the problem with them that I addressed here before is that when you put decals on them, they do not align perfectly as they do with bult in presets. You have to rotate them and rotation degrees do not allow fractions, you cannot fine tune rotate decals to align exactly with box edges( 

My dimension file suddenly isnt getting. I was working on it an hour ago and now it just isnt getting open

Hi, I use to  be able to apply a glow material to a cube and light an object to create a shadow. But now the glow material does not have glow setting and doesnt seem to work, im presented with other options. Please someone help me! The essential moving handles aren't there anymore and I can't move anything or align anything at all now. I've tried to restart and I'm up to date with the latest version.  

Hello! I import a new OBJ or scene and then want to save the file, the program shows the "unable to save" window. I tried to download older versions and the error occurred again. I tried to work on another computer and still got the same error. Help me please!
