Dreamweaver

Hi I recently moved from a MacBook pro to a Chromebook is there any way I can use Dreamweaver on the Chromebook or do you have any tools for HTML editing.

I have margins set 0 top, 0 bottom, left auto, right auto and display to block. The settings are the same as the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze except for height and width for image are 50% and the Friday and Saturday are 30%. Any help would be appreciated. Hello, all. I'm in a Java Programming I class with a Debugging Exercise 3-1. Right now, we're learning about methods, returns, classes, objects, etc. I have tried multiple ways to get this to execute properly, but I can't figure it out. Hello,My hosting server (according to my hosting plan hired) supports PHP up to the version 3.3. I want to set up a local server in the Dreamweaver 2017, so I downloaded the XAMPP which worked very good for me last years. But I see that XAMPP works with the PHP version 7, and my hosting server supports only until 3.3 version. Is this really a problem?Any body using Xampp? Should I find somewehere lower versions of the PHP to be "compatible" with my (remote) hosting server? Also, MAMP is coming with PHP 7 and has the option to use PHP 5.6, which is still higher than the 3.3 supported by my lovely hosting server.So, what kind or brand of local server application could I use? is possible to downgrade the PHP version of XAMPP? I've seen reference to this in here but nothing seems to be getting to the nub of the issue.Last year, having used Photoshop for some time I installed PS version 20.0 and that immediately crashed on opening.  I contacted both Apple and Adobe, both blamed the other and I got nowhere.  In fairness Adobe did suggest a workaround by installing PS on another user account.  This worked but was hardly satisfactory. When PS version 20.01 came out, the problem stopped.  I was too exhausted to take it up further with Adobe and carried on.Along comes Dreamweaver version 19.1 and exactly the same thing happens!  Crash, no support, etc.  Again the work around gets me through by using another user account but it makes hard work of everything.  Unlike PS the next version didn't help - DW version 19.2 crashes too.  Interestingly I decided to also install the previous version of DW (18.2.1) on my original user account and that works perfectly.My question is,

So I've been trying to add the company logo to the new navbar of the site, but I'm having issues. I've tried several different tricks that I've read here and on other sites but nothing seems to be working. The logo is either too large and won't scale down when I try, it vanishes, etc. If someone could help me in figuring this out I'd be greatly appreciative. So... I struggled for months with a baffling bug regarding the "Related Files" panel in Dreamweaver. With help from respondants & a random inspiration from an unrelated post I finally found the solution. The thread (found here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/Dreamweaver/Incorrect-Related-Files-Showing/m-p/10617592#M54753 ) has an incorrect & innefective solution marked as correct. I've now had my attempt to post the actual solution deleted twice as "spam" Here is the text of that post containing the actual solution: I'm gonna protest the marking of the correct answer here. The automated Process to reset the preferences shown in the linked article did not work. That process did not resolve this issue. The linked article also gives the wrong path to both the Site Prefs files and the Preferences files and makes no mention of deleting them maually or the fact that there will likely be more than one. Hello, thank you for looking. I'm having a long-term, recurring & ever- worsening issue with Dreamweaver CC 2019 across multiple sites. It's becoming a bit of an emergency as it's gotten nearly impossible to use Dreamweaver without ruining tons of past work as well as whatever project is open at the time. Dreamweaver shows the WRONG RELATED files in the related files panel at the top, just under the file name tab. It's done this sometimes since I first installed but it's gotten so bad that it wil not display the correct files ever anymore. I run many sites so if more than one of them uses a file called "nav.css" (for example) then this can and has cause major disasters over & over again especially beacuse many of these files are fairly similar & hard to tell apart at a glance. Yes, I can hover over the file name in the related panel and see the actual location but I'm not (ans shouldn't need to be) in the habit of constantly assuming I'm being presented with

Has anyone been successful with running Drameaver on a local (hard Drive) Wordpress server, via MAMP?I have been able to install MAMP, and successfully work in Wordpress through Chrome. But I want to also work in Dreamweaver, specifically use templates (update-able) inside of Dreamweaver. When I try to open the site, Dreamweaver runs a discovery process, but ends up with an error. I am sure that I have the correct directory as I have triple checked it. My site manage list disappeared. I'm on a Mac, and found old posts suggesting to get the older 'Site Prefs' file from my Time Machine backup and replace it in the current same folder - where everyone was relieved that it worked for them, but this file trail doesn't exist after the 'Adobe' folder - and a Finder search for 'site prefs' comes up with nothing. (Macintosh HD:username:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Common:12.0:Sites:Site Prefs)Is there an updated way to fix this? Maybe newer location to get the same backed up info as the old Site Prefs file?  

I knew I needed to get on board with one of these. Watched a YouTube vid and, without a doubt, it convinced me CSS Grid was the way to go for quite logical reasons. ...This way, I could also avoid learning Bootstrap 4 in addition to working with Flexbox.Then I found out that CSS Grid is really not fully compatible with older browsers. I think it will be quite a while till the end-users with the older browsers catch up.Knowing that, do you agree Flexbox & BS 4 is the way forward for now in terms of learning something new? What are your thoughts on this topic?

I am using a Macbook and have been encountering missing file errors.  Most of them aren't critical and I can work around them -- but I do need to be able to use the Extract feature.  Uninstall/reinstall did nothing.  My Creative Cloud is v. 4.3.9.2.  This is the error I get when I go to Windows --> Extract.  Help?   file:///Macintosh%20HD/Applications/Adobe%20Dreamweaver%20CC%202019/Configuration/Floaters/dw-extract/indextemp.html?theme=midDark

Menus.xml error preventing dreamweaver from starting. I have followed instructions to delete the current menus.xml and rename menus.bak to menus.xml. And I have uninstalled multiple times. No luck!

It's early doors but my observation so far is its very difficult to keep track of what or who has posted/responded to a thread. I've only just picked up responses that were posted 3hrs ago because the 'response' posts do not lift the thread to the top of the 'latest' list. The original post stays where it originally was and consumes the responses 'silently'. This means if anyone responds to a post, in a lot of instances, it will most likely never be viewed/acknowledged. The only way it seems of identifying if any responses have been added to a post is by keeping an eye on the number of 'replies'. But if you are contributing to a few threads this is difficult to keep track of. I haven't explored what is under the icons in the top right corner yet, maybe something up there which provides a better insight to what's happening. Any thoughts?

(Ben)osgood's body {padding: 0px;} made me to follow Ben's fixed footer. <footer> is under contact.css and styles.css.I wrote the code in orange box together with body {padding-bottom: 21.33px;} for the original fixed footer.How would I deal with them? Dreamweaver CS6 on my 2017 Mac running Mojave: I have a folder with LOTS of files—all the ads I've run in my online news magazine since 2003! Just trying to scroll down to find things takes literally hours! I need to keep them where they are or the links on the website will break.Is there a way to rebuild the directory or something, or delete and replace an app file, something that will get me back to work? I'm ready to scream.Editing files works fine. Trying to edit the home page and put the new ads in is torture.It seems like it's a display issue, but what do I know? 

In Code View, I have my font styles that I use the most at the top hoping that they would appear in that order in the dropdown list in Targeted Rule, but their order is totally different. How can I make them appear in the same order? Thanks Alan
