Just fired up 2017 this AM and cannot display remote linked images in either design or live mode

Hi,I use Dreamweaver to make my websites. I have a speed problem with this software.I use the last MacBook Pro, so the hardware is fast, and I use the files only in code view. My work is editing differten files opened in the same moment (2-5 files, not more). Each time I change file opend (activating it with the sheets on the top) I have to wait few seconds to can operate in. I make a lot of copy and past and other operations and I have to wait so mutch time, it's a very waist of time.Why and how I can delate this lag?Thanks, and sorry for my English, I hope it's clarity enouth.

Hi,I'm using DW 2018.2 10165. When compiling .scss files to .css all the blank lines are removed. Ive tried all 4 'Output file styles' but they all remove any blank lines originally in the .scss file.Any ideas?Thanks, Nic.

Hi all, I can't believe I can't find what I am looking for, so it would seem I am not using the correct search terms because I don't actually know what it's called! I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction.I want a select menu with options that will be database driven... easy enough... but when the option is changed, I want it to update a price elsewhere on the page.The options in the select menu will be text only pertaining to rental periods. E.g.:1 year2 years3 yearsAnd depending upon which is selected the price elsewhere changes to reflect that it's cheaper per month over three years than it is for one year. Does that make sense?So, what should I be looking for? Have you got any links that or tuts that I could learn from? I assume it's jQuery based, but I looked at WC3 jQuery section and didn't find anything that related to what I am trying to achieve, yet this kind of thing is so common place! I've googled but am getting nothing. Thanks in advance.

Hi ThereRecently I've been having something really weird happen to my bootstrap-4.0.0.css file in DW 2018.When I create a bootstrap site through  File > new. All the CSS and JavaScript files are automatically generated for my root site. All Good!I then made a duplicate copy with my initials on it since the original file is locked called for example. bootstrap-4.0.0_hh.css I then relink it to those pages on l site so that I can see the changes to the pages. At the same time the original bootstrap-4.0.0.css file is still in the same CSS folder  with this CSS file.However when I go to create a new bootstrap component (Tabs, Accordion, Carousel) in a blank HTML 5 page (no bootstrap ) to make edits. Dependant files are added and everything seems OK. Until after I save the HTML page, then the bootstrap-4.0.0.css disappears from my CSS folder. Only the bootstrap-4.0.0_hh.css remains.  The JavaScript files are not effected and remain in the JS folder. No other files are disap

My dreamweaver keeps crashing and I don't why or how to fix it.

Hello,I have a problem with Dreamweaver and although I want to save a html file to my network drive, DW creates an MFC5717.tmp file and after quitting the document the HTML file disappears. But only on this drive does it happen and not if I edit and save it on a different network drive. I have already tried and reset the default settings and also deleted. Unfortunately that did not help. Can someone help me maybe.thanks

I have update my Dreamweaver to the latest version 18.2,but the problem still exist:Every time the program would become "no response" after I opening it about 30 seconds ,just like this.And than my Windows system wold tell me the progran has shut dowm.

I have made several changes to the html and css in DW live code and tried the real time preview but neither has updated the site correctly with the new changes. I have tried disabling caching in Google Chrome and clearing all of the cache in Google Chrome. I have tried to reset the preferences in DWCC2018 but I tried holding the shift and control button at the same time while I double clicked Dreamweaver.exe but all that does in open up Dreamweaver.

I've read that Bootstrap is not compatible with Internet Explorer 9 or lower. That might be a showstopper for a large portion of my web user community who tend to use older software.  Several questions come to mind:Does anyone have a link to a list of Bootstrap 4 features that should be avoided to to avoid negative impact with older versions of IE?Can Bootstrap 3 templates still be used with Dreamweaver CC?Thanks for your help!

I'm editing someone else's website. When I switched to Dreamweaver. For some reason, there are 4 buttons at the bottom that stopped working. I just want to highlight the text and get it to jump to the right page. How do I do that? I know it's easy. But I'm not a true web designer. I'm an Editor of TV/Film just trying to help this lady out.

I can upload files stored on my external drive through Dreamweaver. However, when I try to Preview a page, I get a message that tells me I'm trying to access an external HTML file that cannot be opened with this device for preview. The message instructs me to open it in Dreamweaver, through which I tried to do the preview in the first place. Is this indicative of a problem with Dreamweaver, with the external drive (which is fairly new), or with the computer (which is very new)? . Thank you.

I am running Dw CS6 and have two screens on my desktop.Is it possible to change a setting somewhere to have this in a windowed mode so that the editor is on one screen and the live view is on the other?Thank youTerry

I have used Dreamweaver and Bootstrap 3 in the past to ceate simple bootstrap sites but I have been asked to create a site which...a) is full screen width.b)menu stays at topc) multipage - not single scrolled page.6) carousel on home page which covers full screen - scalable to device width.The example website I have been given is at:https://www.thaikhun.co.uk/I have looked for templates already out there but they mostly only cover single page websites...I am using Dreamweaver CS6Thanks in advance for any tips where to get started - ! Has anyone ever seen this bar at the top of their design page before.Not sure if you can see the purple bar, but I don't know where it came from.  As a result, my menu and blockings aren't working - locally or live(web).Any thoughts as to what happen?Thanks.

I can't figure out how to turn this menu on. I have not found it anywhere in the program and the course I'm taking uses it constantly.

Let me completely honest… I have no idea what I’m doing and I don´t know how to use Dreamweaver, however, I’m trying to do something that is (hopefully) very simple.Here’s the problem: I recently changed my hosting provider and our contact form stopped working; someone in customer service explained to me (without success) why my php script doesn’t work with their servers. I told him I had no idea how to fix that, so, he was kind enough to give me a php and an index file with a contact form that works.Next, I opened Dreamweaver, copied the new contact form over the original, replaced the php file in the server and, for some reason, it just doesn’t work. The website goes blank after I click "SEND".Does anyone know what's going on? I thought this was just a simple copy-paste trick… Thanks in advance!

Hello, all,I've got code in place that, when a select is changed, the select parent will be removed from the containing div it is in and .append() it to another containing div.  That much works like a charm.However, two things happen when this action is completed.  First, the CSS that was applied to the object contents disappears.  Second, the onChange event handler no longer works.How can I re-apply the CSS to the contents, and then reinitialize the onChange event handler?V/r,^ _ ^

Hello,I have used the Isotope from Lynda.com tutorial Isotope · Layout However - Now the website is live the images bunch up on smart phones. The first time I went live it bunched up on laptops and smart phones and I thought I fixed this error with using imagesloaded but they still bunch up on smart phones. I just updated to Dreamweaver CC 2018 a couple of days ago at work.  I got my site migrated over.  When I try to upload an individual file to my test server it works fine, but when I try to move a folder, it takes the folder, but not any of the folder's contents (the children). I assume it's a parameter setting, but I can't find it.  I located the parameter setting and turned it on, but it keeps failing.  It will move the top level folder, and one sub folder, then fails on all other sub-folders and contents then turns the dependent file parameter prompt back off.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from CS6 & earlier Creative Suites to specific program forum... I updated to Dreamweaver CC 2017 two days ago. Since then, at some point during each day, when I open a file, I get a message that says something like this:Encountered a sharing violation while accessing C:\Users\<myusername>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017\en_US\Configuration\Temp\DownloadCache\RPH1877.css.The actual file cited at the end varies, but the path is always the same. I have tried renaming or deleting both the Temp and DownloadCache folders, but it does not solve the problem. I've reviewed several older posts that suggested solutions from not allowing Windows Explorer to index the content of files to turning off Details Pane, but none of these have worked. I have also closed my browser and ensured that no processes were running to make sure that wasn't the issue, as it apparently was for one person in the past.I'm pretty close to reverting to a previous version of the software. Does anyone have any idea why the software might be doing this?

Since the last update, DW is very slow, going to top or bottom of the code takes almost 3 seconds (about 700 lines).To open files, 100 lines, takes almost 5 secondsAny ideas to improve?
