Dreamweaver

I'm trying to edit a website using bootstrap in DW. Sadly the layout gets totally messed up in design mode, while it looks nice both in live preview and the browser.This would be fine for me. But my friend relies on using the drag and drop/ WYSIWYG features of DW's design mode. Sadly, with a design mode that hardly resembles the actual page, that's just a mess.Are there any known issues with that? What can I do, such that the design mode looks like the actual webpage?I'ts an old website, the pages got their responsiveness retrofitted, if that's relevant.

I am wondering if maybe I cannt see the forest for the trees?I have built several sites with SiteGrinder in the past. Then I switched over to DW a couple years ago. Now I keep getting client requests to build their sites in WordPress. This is a new trend I am seeing from more and more clients - they do not just specify the creative work they want done, but they hand me the brush and the bucket too!. Until recently I never had clients demand that I use a particular software package to accomplish a goal and I have been doing this for 25 years!I get that with WordPress they could reserach template examples on their own to get an idea of what they want up front and that would be a plus, but so far they want me to do that reserach as well. They give me like 10 WordPress sites that they like, but they have nothing style or function-wise in common that I can decipher - so they maight as well send me nothing.My questions are:- Is anyone else being forced into WordPress over Dreamweaver?- Is Wo

I have a form on my website that I need to remove the width and height of image that is used as the button to validate the page. Is this normal? It would make sense to me if the css was automatically uploaded too. I see the changes in the .css file. But I have to manually upload the .css every time I want it to be live.If this is not normal can anyeone tell me how I can fix this?I'm using latest update of Dreamweaver cc.Kind Regards,Wes

I am trying to edit local links in an library item and what i am getting is something like this: <a href="Library/document.html"> instead of  <a href="document.html"> and I am unable to get rid of this "Library" thing. Hello, all,I'm setting to create my first responsive design project (an internal blog), and I've worked with jQuery UI before.  But I've never worked with jQuery Mobile, and have read threads where UI and Mobile don't necessarily play well together.  Granted, the threads are years old, and maybe things have changed.  IDK.But I wanted to get everyone's opinion on this.  Can UI and Mobile work together?  Or is there a better way to make a responsive design that works well on desktop, cell, and tablet screens?V/r,^ _ ^

Hi Dreamweavers!I‘m not quite sure how to explain it, but I want to do the following:For example, when someone types ‘apples’ I want my site to go to domain.com/apples, or when someones types ‘bananas’ I want the site to go to domain.com/bananas.I don’t know if this is even possible, I tried looking for it on the internet, but I couldn’t quite figure out how to phrase the issue.If it is possible, I would love to learn how. Want ot install cs6  for MAC system

I have a logo where the height is a little to much for mobile so I'm wanting to change it completely at xs. I'm pretty sure this can be done in source code but I can't figure it out. I've searched here and google with no luck. Do I need to hide the element at xs and add the smaller logo? Hopefully this made sense. Thanks, Tim

I am using a Bootstrap 3 panel accordion and have quite a few errors, but I'm not sure what I need to do to correct them. I think because of the errors, the open/collapse has stopped working. This is the first but repeating error message I'm getting when running the validator:Line 72   Bad value 100% for attribute height on element img : Expected a digit but saw % instead. For 2 years I've been paying the monthly $50 for all CC apps because I use Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Acrobat but I just can't stand CC any longer. I have a high-end Windows machine and these apps take forever to load and there are too many bugs to count. Pretty sad to see Adobe fall so hard.I've gone back to my old, purchased versions on DVD and they work great! Good bye CC, you will not be missed.

Hi,I'm building a new DW website for someone who has already an old WordPress website. He is using the domain and hosting on GoDaddy. I am creating a new DW website and would like to publish everything through DW (through client ftp). I'm just wondering how it works if his old website is already on the air? Is possible to take over once I'll add all the domain user and password and ftp address on DW?Also I would love some assistant how to upload the DW website on a temporary ftp, so the client will be able to view it on a Safari web page from his computer.Many thanks!

How can I add meta tags to dreamweaver

I took on editing a website using Dreamweaver having zero coding experience but picking it up along the way as I am purely a means to an end in terms of editing the site.Anyway, I recently created two new pages for the site based on existing pages and literally copying everything across and then changing the material on the page and the web address.The new pages I have created have put everything else on the site EXCEPT for the meta tags. I have changed these in the coding, but for some reason they STILL won't put to the site.Example... This is what was left in the coding from another existing page that was created. Da tempo si avevano difficoltà all'uso delle utility database definite deprecate dopo l'uscita di cs6.Ora è praticamente impossibile l'uso di qualsiasi addons ed in particolare di quelli che gestiscono in maniera visuale e semplificata, tabelle e database, pagine recordset o semplici visualizzazioni di queste.Rimango perplesso e stupito come tutto ciò ora sia impossibile quando invece era un punto di forza di Dreamweaver.Nel mio ufficio, possediamo ben 7 licenze dreamweaver cc 2018 e questo limite, non giustificato a parer mio, ci impedisce di svolgere la maggior parte dei lavori che sviluppiamo.Se non troviamo una soluzione più o meno ufficiale, siamo costretti ad abbandonare questo prodotto che allo stato attuale, ha perso di efficacia e potenza di sviluppo per una scelta altrettanto inefficace ed ingiustificata.Qualcuno ha trovato una soluzione a questo problema?

Hello, Anybody knows where is the "Show invisible files" option in Dreamweaver CC2018 to display files like .htaccess in the "Files" panel? It was previously located in a dropdown menu at top right of the "Files" panel, but this panel has been redesigned in CC2018 and i can't find the dropdown anymore. Thanks for your infos.

So I work with web maps and the various doodads and such in that realm. At the moment I am working with something called a GeoForm.GitHub - Esri/geoform-template-js: GeoForm is a configurable template for form based data editing of a Feature Service.It's basically a form, created in Dojo with ESRI's JS API, that includes a map whereby the enduser can place a dot on a map that is connected to the formfields filled out in the 'FORM' part of the GeoForm.So... I have a folder where this web app goes. It's an internal-only web app so I can't share it, which is why I am prepping my question with so many details.I just discovered that in order to get some custom functionality I would need to edit some internal, major files. Obviously I don't want to edit the live site, so I copied the folder it is in. I used the Dreamweaver interface. I pasted that folder beside itself. I renamed it. I have a client who wants me to include a 'confirmation of subscription' email for a newsletter and other information, which is fine, I can do that to make sure the email used at the time of the request belongs to the person that actually owns the email.So what's the difference because they also have, as does many other websites, a general enquiry form. So I could fill out the enquiry form using someone elses email and have a bunch of unsolicited crap sent to them.Ive seen subscription forms use the confirmation workflow to establish the email address used belongs to the person who instigated the subscription request BUT I dont think Ive yet come across an enquiry form which uses it -  can you confirm you sent this enquiry......click here, maybe someone has?Humm....any thoughts?Os

Hey again, I didnt want to post anything else here cuz people have helped me so much already.Ive been trying for hours to figure this out, I got it working before but now its suddenly not working The email form doesn't work anymore This is supper annoying as this is how my clients reach me. I dont know how many lost emails I have Anyway, the email form used to work, and now it just doesn't.
