I have been using Dreamweaver CC 2017 to manage our web servers. Up until recently one in particular has been a RHEL 6 web server. I had no problems managing the site (e.g. connecting, checking files in/out, editing, etc.). Our system administrators just upgraded it to RHEL 7. Now when I try to map to the server and manage the site, when I enter my username/password, I get an error message stating 'username/password is incorrect'. I can use putty to connect with the same credentials with no problem. I have verified that my credentials are correct. This same thing is happening on our other RHEL 7 server with the same error message. I am able to connect and manage several other servers with RHEL 6. Have you experienced others having problems with RHEL 7? Is there a compatibility problem with that particular operating system?thanks
HiI reinstalled macOS, and can't get DW to sync snippets.Before that reinstallation I've been clicked sync buttons and I've set automatic sync.But now when I try, it's greyd out and it says Last sync: none. Why? All files are synced fine. Only DW snippets are missing. And Photoshop workspaces are also missing, but that's differents story.Regards
How to delete tag <!--InstanceBegin template="".....> before <!DOCTYPE html>?In .dwt template file, I placed <!DOCTYPE html> in the first beginning of source code, but the <!--InstanceBegin template="".....> automatically added before <!DOCTYPE html> and caused error in the child page. I can't update child pages with this error. How can I remove the annoying code <!--InstanceBegin template="".....> before <!DOCTYPE html> in the child pages?

When F1 is pressed I got message "Unable to display help. Connect to the internet...".Direct access to the help URL works properly. Turning off Kaspersky Internet Security doesn't solve this problem. All FTP connections works properly. Access to the help form Photoshop, Animate etc works as well. Moreover, when I configure offline help to use instead, it also doesn't work. I'm using Windows 10 Pro but configuration guide stops at Windows 8. It could be the reason maybe.Another surprising behaviour appears when I click Help / Dreamweaver Tutorial or other options. They are opened perfectly but... in Internet Explorer! My default browser is Microsoft Edge. When I use any other Adobe application, all links form Help menu open with Edge, not IE ! What should I do to fix help menu?Regards,Marek

A template file I created for all my asp pages has suddenly been given an extension NavTemp.dwt.asp. The template file and files that have the template attached will not save or update. Older posts, address this problem by suggesting, clearing cache in Windows which I have done. The problem continues. This makes me wonder, can template files in DW be edited to work with asp files ? am I only asking for problems working with asp files in DW ? Please help with any suggestions. Thanks for any input you may have.
Is it a bug that i can't disable the behaviour that when i type f.ex echo " it transforms it to echo "" immediately in the code editor? Same with brackets { } etc.I thought in preferences -> Code Hints -> Enable Code Hints this could be disabled. It's really annoying me. Where can i stop that behaviour?I'm on OS X Sierra.

That appears to be the default when I paste the code in without altering it. I would prefer the button on the right which is just the right size, but it isn't linked. I am having trouble figuring out where to add the code and what line of code i need to add from the smaller one to make it the link. Hi, I'm using Dreamweaver CS5. I have hundreds of pages to apply a basic CSS rule to, but I have to reattach it on every page instead of it showing up again in the "targeted rule" submenu on the properties tab. Advice? Thanks
I have created a simple animation in Animate, and published the .oam file.I am able to insert this animation into a div in my DW HTML (Bootstrap) file where it plays as expected.When I try to preview in browser (Chrome, Safari), I only see the background color of the stage, but none of the elements (vector objects from .ai and Animate) or the animation.I have also inserted the .oam file into a blank HTML page, with same results (plays in live view, wont play when exported to browsers)As a side note: the HTML file generated by Edge Animate does play when directly tested in Chrome and Safari. Hello all,I created a website for my family. http://www.highwayqcs.com. When I review it in all browsers within dreamweaver it displays correctly even when I click on live preview. But when I go the internet Firefox, Chrome and IE.... all of the links show at the bottom instead of being to the right of the picture.
Typically there are little blue dotted lines around each element (div, images, text, etc..) when working on a project in 'Live View' on Dreamweaver. I saved / closed a project. However when reopening all those guides are now missing. I cannot seem to figure out how to turn them back on. Any suggestions?NORMAL:CURRENT:

I am using CS4 Photoshop and Dreamweaver on a Mac running 10.7.5. Following instructions in Adobe's Classroom in a Book for Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 p 95 I opened a provided psd image in PS, selected a part of one layer with the rectangular selection tool, and hit Copy. In a DW document I went to hit Paste, as directed, and found the command greyed out. Flattening the psd document, or converting it to JPG or png format made no difference. I can copy/paste text between PS and DW (or TextEdit for that matter) but not images. I would appreciate some help with this important operation.Jim B
Today I've successfully uploaded a small image (33kb) and some text to an established page on the one website I have.I've then tried to upload another image (245kb) but keep getting the message "Synchronisation information can not be found on BLOG_large jpg. Putting the file may overwrite changes to the file .... "How do I overcome this problem - or do I just upload the image nevertheless (the BLOG_large jpg is simply going to replace an image with the same name).Thanks for any advice
Using DWCC 2018 10136 on Win10 I have set key F9 to Check Links Sitewide but despite restarting DW in does not do anything when I press F9. I tried loading a Standard set of shortcut keys then switching to my set which I thought might cause my set to be re-loaded. A previous answer in this forum helped me find the XML file where the shortcuts are stored and I attach a picture which clearly shows I have set the F9 key correctly. I've no evidence but I'm sure I have found this on a number of occasions in the past where I have set a key and it hasn't taken effect. Is this a known bug?
