Dreamweaver

I setup a table to have a black background with white letters. All the code seems to be correct, but no text is appearing on the page. I figure the property inspector may help, but it is nowhere to be found ... I know it is there, so where is it and how do I open it?

Hey folks,i don't know if i'm in the right place to ask questions.Currently i'm working with the latest version of Dreamweaver and want to watch a website i made on my smartphone.After scanning the qr-code i logged into my adobe account, but not live preview was shown on my smartphone.I followed the given solution steps (NodePort.js, restarting, check if working in the same network, Cooking enabling, firewall etc.) but nothing worked.Is there anything more i can do?Kind regards

I have noticed a lot of designs in which the old-fashioned horizontal menu is done away with entirely, leaving only an expandable "hamburger" menu. Any thoughts?

Hi,When I click a picture in the design view side I would expect that picture to be selected and the relevant code  to highlight in the Code side.I'm sure that this is how it used to work before I had to re-install Windows an all my software.Now when I click a picture in the design view it has a most annoying tendency to go elsewhere in design view and select an entirely different picture.Is there any way that I can prevent this from happening.Help with this annoying problem would be appreciated as its driving me round the bend

I am thoroughly confused.  Just updated to Win10.  Reinstalled Dreamweaver 8.0 and upgraded to 8.0.2.  Where are my site management buttons?Every other time I have loaded DW 8, I have them... what am I totally missing?

I am fairly new to dreamweaver and was trying to sort assets into favorites which I am able to. The problem I am having is that when in the favorite assets panel I create a favorite assets group, I am unable to add anything to it. I tried dragging and dropping it did not work. I tried to right click and see if there is anything I can do from there and still nothing. I believe being able to arrange/sort all the favorite assets is something I would really like to be able to do. Any thoughts on why I cant group them?

Hi, I was used in previous versions of DW of selecting strings of text or lines of codes in an HTML file with "shift" and now in the new 2017 version it seems impossible. Also, when selecting a string of text too quickly inside a tag, it goes back to the start of the line which is very annoying.Anyone has came across this issue? Did Adobe remove the shift selection shortcut?Thanks!

Boy, it feels like I am asking too many questions.  I sincerely apologize for that.  I am learning alot though. Hi,I know how to sync a specific file or file to me remote server.Is there a way to create "sync groups"?In my site i have several image galleries and thousands of images.Mostly when i update the site the images are not updated and only a few files need to be uploaded to the server.I can sync the entire site to the remote server but this takes along time.I can manually upload all the modified files but i want to create an upload or sync group so that it will upload the same list of files when i choose to.Is this possible?Dan

An older computer of mine that had Dreamweaver on it went kaput last week and so I now have a new one with with Dreamweaver installed. I can connect and log on to Dreamweaver but have found that after aiming to Pull In Entire Site - and I do pull in a few web files, I get a file complete message, but this is entirely wrong. There are dozens more files and website pages I need to pull in, but it's just not happening and they are simply not coming in. It's a complete stop.Thoughts or suggestions on how to proceed?Thanks much.Suzette

I'm new to Dreamweaver UltraDev. When I try to define a site, it starts scanning the folder, gets about 2/3 of the way through, and then each and every time I try tells me the program is closing. What's wrong?While I'm here, I wonder if there are easy ways to modify default tags. If I hit Ctrl-i, it gives me the i rather than em tag, which I prefer (unless I'm using the cite tag). If I ask to insert an em dash, it gives me 151 rather than 8012. I'm sure there are more behaviors like this. But anyway, so far I can't really even begin! Oh, and I'm not sure what "Debug in browser" does, but if I select it, it tells me to choose a browser, but clicking to choose one just shows that browsers are already chosen, as visible in "View in browser." Lots strange to me, I guess! Thanks.

I have a few php files that I am unable to open without crashing the app.  There must be an issue with my coding style or something that I haven't yet Identified.  The files open fine in brackets and other editors.  Most of the files aren't very large, only a few kb.  They don't generate any errors compiling or at runtime so I know the code is valid.  But something about the code itself Dreamweaver doesn't like because just creating a new file and inserting the same code crashes the app.Anyone else experienced this and / or identified the issue?TIA

I came across this Brackets extension yesterday, and after a few hours playing I found that for those wanting a more visual method of doing html and css layouts that is visually better than the current Dw css designer/live edit options, (with visual html thrown in), but is also not as none coder or designer orientated as Muse, and is I think worth a look at for anyone interested.https://github.com/swmitra/html-designerI know much of what is incorporated into this extension has been discussed in this and other forums, and nothing actually new is introduced, but it does show a direction I would consider to be worthwhile for Dw, (if it is not going to be a full IDE) especially for those not wishing to become full coders, and wanting more freedom in what is possible than Muse currently offers.Thoughts anyone?

I noticed awhile back that Dreamweaver has started altering the tracking codes in my URLs. Original version?utm_medium=email&utm_source=source&utm_campaign=NAMEWhat Dreamweaver does?utm_medium=email&utm_source=source&utm_campaign=NAMEThis only happens after pasting it back into Dreamweaver from our marketing automation program. I tested it and the links are correct in the Marketing Automation program but wrong immediately after pasting into Dreamweaver.I've unchecked Enable Linting. I've turned off code rewriting & have Do not encode special characters in URL encoding checked. Am I missing something else? Can anyone help on this?

So , I use  A "what you see is what you get" software to design my sites and then I export index.html file to my desktop. I then open the file with Dreamweaver and tweak it just a little bit with what little HTML I know and then FTP it to my public_html folder.  My question is this....how do I use DW to create the mobile friendly site and where do I put it on the server?website in question: www.trinityaerialservices.comsomehow some files are there when I look at it on my phone, but it's a little different and I am not sure where "there" is.T/YMike
