I'm not a coder but I use Dreamweaver CC 2017 in the Design window to build my sites. I'm setting up some advertising sites and my corporate site. I am intrigued by this site: http://www.grammarly.com. Please assist me so I can use these design concepts in my new sites. Thank You / Jerry I like the basic functionality as I scroll down the page and also like the changing elements in the image to the right as I scroll.I need to know what jquery sticky this is or if it is something else and I need a tutorial a non-coder will be able to understand to build it out in my sites. I am coding a new index at maselva.com. I have a number of error codes that I cannot quite figure out how to resolve. Error:Tag must be paired, missing: [</p>] start tag match failed [<p style=font size:14px>]I have tried adding tags, but I just don't get this.Help?

I am working on building a website. I get the css complete but when i go and change it based on the browser size (nothing happens). This is what Dreamweaver has in the css and the the div class goes below it./* Mobile Layout: 480px and below. */ /* Tablet Layout: 481px to 768px. Inherits styles from: Mobile Layout. *//* Desktop Layout: 769px to a max of 1232px.  Inherits styles from: Mobile Layout and Tablet Layout. */I dont want the tablet and desktop to inherit anything. I have been given a large table to insert onto a website,However I need to colour in certain cells and place borders around certain groups of cells.I've tried this in Visual Studio2013 and also in DW CS6 but there seems to be no easy way to highlight the cells and colour these in as desired in any sort of WYSIWYG format.Is this possible in CS6 or should I look elsewhere.Thanks in advance for any feedback.Terry

#1 Code Color Choices removed. This needs to be easier than manually editing LESS and JSON files.   I would much prefer to have my old code colors back but they are in an XML file and it's going to take some major doing to translate that to LESS.#2 Files Panel Headers.  I think this should be turned on by default instead of making people hunt for ways to turn it on. #3 Hi-Def Aware UI Scaling. The lack of support for this is really hurting some people.  'Nuff said.#4  Preview in Browser/Real Time Preview.  Is there any way to turn off Real Time Preview?  I'm getting really wacky results with it. This is what I'm trying to view - a basic Bootstrap,  2-column layout.Real Time Preview is showing a Bootstrap Carousel that doesn't exist in this document.  Not even close.If anyone has more stuff to add, please chime in.Nancy O.

For some reason no matter what I try I can't drag tables around and it's really annoying, it's making everything a lot harder than ever and also, I can't set myself to beginner for some reason. I do have 2017 and I'm on a PC is this helps. But really it's frustrating. I don't do the coding, I design more than anything.

The submit button is meant to be emailing the data in the form, but isn't doing anything at all. I am aware that the mailto action is unreliable, but I'm unable to use any server side code instead of it, and I don't know of any other ways to make it send an email. Hey guys-I would like to know what is the best solution for trying to put together a site like http://capelrugs.com.  The rugs will need to be searched by color, design, size, etc.   Just wanted to see what the best/easiest solution available. I already have a program that keeps track of the inventory and will export it in an Excel format. I was thinking about Php and MySQL. Just wondering if there is some software that would make the process a little easier. The website will not have a shopping cart. Only the search engine built in the html.Thanks in advanced-J

I want to start this with I love the new version if it could just work! I have been going through the gammut today and yesterday. I think I will just have to put this aside for awhile till they get this worked out. I can't use it with all the crashing and jumpiness. I am trying too put in a video and it took me ten minutes. C'Mon Man! I mean I have other issues of course that I can overlook but when I try to  copy a template then put in simple links, put in a video in the placehoider which has taken me 15 minutes! I just can't use this thing.

Hello, First let me say that I am a retired network person _not_ a web developer, so this may be a simple question, but any help would be appreciated.A non-profit asked me if I would develop a web page for them.  I am doing it Pro Bono (Free) using Dreamweaver CS 6.I put a Horizontal SPRY menu bar in a "Draw AP Div" and right below it I have another "Div" that holds the text for the page.   In both Live view and Preview in Browser I ram having two problems with the menu bar.  when the sub menu drops down it conflicts with the page's body text.when I pull the mouse down I can only access the top most sub menu item.  Going further down to the second item and the sub menu disappears.Here is a capture in Design + Live view (ignore the red box at the bottom it is automatically added by the screen capture utility):If I pull the mouse straight down Item 1.1 will highlight, if I go down to Item 1.2 the sub menu disappears.Also the menu item text does not look good over

I have just updated to 2017.0.1 and I now  can not access 'Device Preview'. When the icon is selected I get the message .. 'Device Preview Service is currently unavailable. Re-start Dreamweaver and start again.'I have tried re-starting and I've checked all network connections are correct.Is this a widespread issue for all.. or is there a fix?Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I've been having a play with DW 2017, and although I really like a lot of the new features (EG. the support for SASS/SCSS), it seems a little sad the product seems to have dropped support of some scripting features, mainly XSLT.On previous versions XSLT tags were supported, and the auto-complete feature was very useful. The same goes for ASP/ASPX. Even though it was not officially supported by DW, the scripting screen would still recognize ASP/ASPX tags, and again auto-complete.Is there a way of adding this functionality back in. IE. Is there a way of creating a custom list of tags that DW can then use to suggest as auto-completes.I hope this makes sense.Thanks,Andy.

I have a purchased copy of DW CS5. I have the original packaging and serial number or key code. My computer hard drive is failing so I need to install DW on my new computer. My old computer is still limping by. Do I need to un-register the first installation prior to reinstalling on the new computer? If so, what is the procedure to do that?

Hi,I want in my new Version of DW the same code highlighting like in my old one for js, html, php and css.I have already read in the forums but found nothing useful. I read a lot about Brackets Themes and so on, but I do not need all that.Is there any file, I can copy or download to get the old highlighting colors back? There is a complete copy of old DW on my PC, but I can not find any .less file there, or a usable css one.Is there any downloadable Theme, that contains the old highlighting info in a DW CC 2017 compatible format?Many Thanks in advance,Lars

In the summer of 2016 I was forced to upgrade to window 10 and now I have lost several fonts after the upgrade.Anyone have a solution for this? I think Adobe should give us access to all fonts for paying a monthly fee with CCClients art has optima regular and now the file opens up missing font...I have seen this with 3-4 client so far.I have the adobe creative cloud with dreamweaver, AI, Photoshop.BarbAd Pros of Palm Beach

I've been editing my website for some time and out of absolutely nowhere, with no changes to the source code, DW will freeze any time I click on that part of the code, or click on where that section of the code would appear in the design section (the picture links in question are not showing up in the design area but is showing up in the source code). I have tried clearing the DW cache and freeing up space on my hard drive to no avail. I am really confused because this happened out of nowhere, I did not make any changes to the code that's giving me a problem and no other page I've been working on besides the default page is giving me an issue. I have no clue what to do because I can't click on the code in question without everything freezing.

There is a part on one of my webpages where I need to insert a greater than-equal to symbol. When I try to copy the symbol over from Word, it is replaced by a 3 in superscript form (like this: ³). I have also tried finding the character through Insert -> HTML -> Character -> Other, but the specific character I need is not listed in the Special Characters Dialog box. Does anyone know how to insert this symbol? Many thanks in advance for any suggestions!
