The export expereince™ would be much improved if we had relative paths with a true custom name generator. Adobe used to be really good at this. Look at how Lightroom allows you to name and place files on export for inspiration. Export Destination should be relative to project file. For example an extremely basic project folder structure is usually something like this: 📁PROJECT ROOT📁Project Files/📄MyProject.Proj📁Media📁Exports So if you had open MyProject.Proj, and knew that you always kept your exports in your Exports folder. You should be able to designate ../Exports. For those who have never used command line: Basically go up one folder and place in Exports folder. 2. Additionally you should be able to pass in any type of relevant metadata into a subfolder name. For me that is usually the date of the export but this should be flexible. So ../../Exports/[date][time][custom text][other me
Since Adobe is unwilling to remove the cumbersome import page, please allow the users who have been using the app for 10+ years to be able to dismiss this window. Problem 1: On starting a new project you are presented with the oversize Import window that nobody likes. Okay maybe someone likes it but I haven't met them yet. This would be fine if you could acess the edit Tab and start building your project as normal and then ..."Save As" when you wanted to pick a destination. I want to be free of that window as quickly as possible. Right now there is no way to dismiss it. Problem 2: When resetting app preferences, or reinstalling the app, which happens somewhat frequently unfortunately, its helpful to see where your scratch disks are. This was actually a feature I used a lot in the old project creation window. It is nowhere to be found in the new flow. Sometime you are working on another machine and want to double check things. Solution: Give us the optio
Good day Adobe Community, When mousing in the timeline (not the header section) of Premiere Pro, especially when lassoing to select clips on tracks, sometimes the tracks vertical size expands and/or shrinks (most of the time the tracks shrink in size). How do I turn this feature off? If I need to expand and shrink the tracks, I usually go over to the track headers anyways. Keeping this function from activating while on the timeline itself would really help to only activate one function (lasso selection) rather then activating two functions at the same time. Thank you for any help.
PPro had a bad trimming mode. In the example i compare Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro trimming.1) Screen while trimming. In PPro we can see only in program monitor and when you use laptop, screen is too small to see, what's happening in 2 sides(A-side and B-side). In Avid MC Source monitor is only A-side, Program monitor B-side and it is very usefull when you use laptop(in timeline setting you can choose use source monitor as a trim side or only in program monitor trim A-side and B-side) 02) LiveTime Trimming (Avid and Premiere Pro Examples: https://youtu.be/XedhKrVLAVk) .In PPro when you trimming in trim mode(when you use keyboard shortcut) trim red/yellow/roll "thing" it is stuck and a it is annoing when you trimming, because you did not see movement. In Avid(in DaVinci also) you can see how a "thing" move when you edit, and it is much more convenient. 03) LiveTime Track Selection (Avid and Premiere Pro Examples: https://youtu.be/ZNeVSCv8Jwg&n
Since the new Import tab now opens by default for a new project, it should include the automatic image sequence import. This would be particularly helpful in 3D workflows where animations are frequently rendered as PNG image sequences.
The inability to trim clip media to save disk space from unused frames has been a frequent issue for many Premiere Pro when archiving projects. Please consider adding features currently included in Plume Pack .
I would like to have the ability to modify the easing curves of multiple property keyframes of a clip simultaneously. For example, easing the keyframes for both the position and scale of a clip so both easing values are identical. My ideal workflow would be toSelect desired keyframesEasy Ease the incoming and outgoing velocity of the selected keyframesAdjust the outgoing velocity of the first group of keyframes simultaneouslyAdjust the incoming velocity of the second group of keyframes simultaneously This would allow for a consistent change in values between multiple animated properties of a clip, and speed up the process of creating simple animations in Premiere.
Look adobe you've went out of your way to make your application harder to use. Please reinstate media encoder export. I even changed my keyboard shortcut to ctrl+M send to media encoder, but the preset is still being picked up by premiere before it goes to media encoder! You seriously suck. Can you please fix the dumb export tab and bring back the smooth operation of media encoder connections sent from premiere. (Import / Edit / Export) Tabbed workspaces are the worst thing you've ever done to peremiere. One of these options should be MEDIA ENCODER CONTROLLED EXPORT SETTINGS:
Hi there, I often sort my clips by date in the list view, then I go back in icon view and use "sort list view". It works fine, but every time I close and reopen the project, my sorting is not saved, thus I have to redo everything. Not a big deal, but a minor improvement could help I guess.
Feature request to add capability of naming and assigning audio tracks that is embedded on the rendered file without going through a separate program after export. (Up to 32 channels). See attached.
Hello, After contact with support on a different matter I asked if he did know a solution for my question. He replied like a customer agent should do by saying it was a great idea and did forward me to here. In my workflow I create a lot of sequences for each video I create a sequence. (auction lots) the reason for this workflow is that when a corrupt file messes up my sequence it doesn't ruin my whole project. However this workflow is somewhat of a pain at the start of it, as it can only be done by several clicks per sequence. And each sequence individually. I often end up with sequence numbers exceding 100. Is there a way you could speed up this task? Instead of the option create sequence create a large number. With the addition of naming made easy that would be saving me a lot of clicks. Thanks in advance
Add ability to see marker(s) name and/or descripition on the timeline directly beside the marker. Thanks,- DK
This is sort of a bug / feature reqest. Issue 1: Premiere only supports 260 character file path name limit (afaik) When sharing assets on Google Drive, you start with a handicap of about -60 characters for Google to print its shortcut id file path " Example something like this: Z:\.shortcut-targets-by-id\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\root folder Its fairly easy to end up with an asset over 260char at this point and then Premiere refuses to link to the file or says something cryptic like "unsupported file format." If you move this file to the desktop it opens with no issue. You can enable long file path support in Windows, and some apps have no problem opening files, (namely the native photo viewers and video player in Windows) but All Adobe apps struggle with long file paths. Please enable premiere to read file paths longer than 260 char. Issue 2, related: When relinking to a G-drive folder, 9/10 Media
The text editor is so handy and it really saves time in the overall edit. Only issue is dead space. Especially when I clip two words, then I get "[...]" on both the line before and the line after. I don't want [...]. There were only 1-2 times I needed to keep [...] in. I propose SHIFT-DEL or SHIFT-ALT-DEL to delete, and not leave any [...]. Maybe even a preference that says "include [...] removal whe you press delete". The faster I edit, the better. With this option, I can create a key on my Stream Deck to delete and leave no white space. Otherwise, I have to do the highlight, delete three times. So this will option, I can edit 3x faster. 😉 Thanks.
Dear Adobe,I hope this message finds you well and that someone from your team will read and implement these changes as a suggestion from who has used all your software professionally for over three decades and that has been an ACE for at least 2.I will not bore you with the accolades and awards that I achieved worldwide, whether in photography, cinematography, and editing, but I must bring these points to the public and your attention. Like many colleagues on this forum that are definitely better than me, I believe we can all agree on these points that Adobe "should" be focusing its attention. As much as I understand the appeal of AI and the appeal of small social media content creators as they are the masses that make your wallet rumble, they are not your best and most loyal users. Their content can be edited with anything and they are not interested in keeping Adobe as their only software house. They will move to any other free software in a blink of an eye compared t
I'm having trouble finding any information to see if what I am looking to do is possible in Premiere Pro. Essentially, I want to create a master sequence that is 1920x1920, and have something similar to a subsequence that is different aspect ratios that are all linked to the master sequence. Whenever a clip or video is edited on the master sequence, it goes to the other aspect ratio subsequences, and is properly positioned. Similar to what Smart Objects due in Photoshop.I'm trying to do this to streamline productivity to be able to export different aspect ratios without having to go and fine tune each sequence. I'm not sure if this is even possible in Premiere, or After Effects for that matter. I've searched all over the internet without any luck. Thank you for your time.
When I save an effect preset, 3 instances of Lumetri Color let's say, the original effect instances have been renamed to Lumetri-Main, Lumetri-Face, Lumetri-Darken Bottom, or the like. Yet once saved as a preset, the effect instances are renamed to "Preset Name" so now I have 3 renamed effect instances all with the same name. I would prefer to have my original assigned names that are relevant to the effect.
It would be great if we could search the Premiere Pro User Guide online. Unless I'm not seeing it, the only search option is to search "Adobe Support. https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/user-guide.html
The thumbnail of source in Lumetri tab, below Creative's Look, occupies much verticle space. If a toggle to collape is added to the thumbnail image, then Curves (which is just below Creative & has 2 toggles options) or other lower sectionhave a greater chance of fitting in choice Workspaces. For me, almost always, I don't need to see that thumbnail. - gramps

Hello. I was spending the last couple hours trying to transcribe a clip. I clicked TRANSCRIBE in the clip's Text panel and then TRANSCIBE in the pop-up window. Nothing happened. No error message. The pop-up just closed. After resetting prefs and other troubleshooting 101, I had an idea. Maybe Premiere cant transcribe proxies by themselves (the raw media is offline in the cloud for space reasons). Is there any reason why trasncription is not avail when you only have the proxy online? If not, would love to see that in future release. If there is a reason, maybe add an error popup explaining that for those who have the same issue I did. Thanks!
We often share large video files of interviews within our team to log soundbites. Speech to Text could be exteremely useful for producers to select sound and use clip timecode so our editors can find the correct soundbite. Alas, Speech to Text transcription is basically useless to us in it's current implementation because Premiere only inserts sequence timecode when transcribing and not CLIP timecode. I suggest allowing users to select and option to use either clip timecode or sequence timecode when generating transcription files.
Premiere currently assumes/reads the data levels from the file itself and maps it to the internal full range without clipping if I'm correct. However sometimes we need/want manual control over how to interpret the footage. I'd like to see an option in the interpretation settings where we can flag a file as either Full or Video range where Auto is the default. Would also love proper export options. Choosing between Full/Video range and conversion between them with clip/perserve options so we can better manage how the data goes out into a file.
We are struggling with issues in Premiere Pro. The current scaling algorithm introduces negative values that seep in to broadcast deliverables as full range data after export. Please give us a project wide option to choose from several scaling algorithms and an override option on clip motion effects panel. Or at least something that works better than whatever it is we have now.Resolve is way ahead on this.
I wish this were possible.
