Feature Requests

I don't think this needs a description, it doesn't make sense to move everything forward or backward without moving the markers.
Please bring back the lock feature in workspaceI know we can reset to saved layout but it’s better to prevent accidental panel movements in the first place.I often move the workspace by accident which is quite annoying, and I remember having a lock feature long time ago so it must be too much trouble to bring it back. I don’t know why they removed it in the first place.
I am surprised that Adobe has some languages included in Speech to Text (Transcribe) feature but not a major language which is used and spoken by over 350 million people which is Arabic? With so many Arabic production features now that are aired and uploaded to many online streaming services, it is CRITICAL that Adobe pays respect to it's users who work in Arabic content/film/TV series. Now that this request is as important as any new update, it is getting huge attention in the media and NLE users everywhere. So I hope that in the next update 23.1 Premiere Pro will have Arabic included in Speech to Text. Mod note: Edited for content
Creating range-based markers is overly complicated. Why not have an option to create markers from In/Out points. As it is now, to do this, one has to set the in and out point to calculate the duration, then copy the duration, then go back to the in point, add a marker, then edit the marker and paste the duration. This new command could be available in the keyboard shortcuts so that the user can define their own command, much like set marker colors.
When changing markers’ colors in the markers panel to a color not currently visible due to filters, I’d love an option to NOT add that new color to those visible. I color code my sequence markers during my notes process, and change them to white when they have been addressed. So I like to filter by the current category of markers that I am addressing, and want to be able to change them to white and have them disappear from view rather than bringing into view the dozens of comments that have already been addressed. It would also be nice to be able to click and drag on the color checkboxes at the top to quickly select multiple colors. Or even a mute switch, so I can select which markers to hide rather than which to show. It would also be nice to be able to have keyboard shortcuts that select and deselect the color checkboxes for filtering.
The whip transition has no direction. Adobe 24.2.1Mac OS 14.3.1 (23D60) All other transitions can are modifiable by direction
The speedramp feature in premiere feels very outdated with the new wave of editing tools and is in dire need of an update or new effect in the effect panel. Even if they just imported TimeWarp from After Effects or made something similar to capcut with motion blur included for ease of use, I think this would be a mega update for premiere!
I love that the “Copy Paste Includes Sequence Markers” can be given a keyboard shortcut, but as it is a toggle, there’s no way to know its current state without clicking on the Markers menu. If there was a UI button (similar to the proxies button) that could be added to the program monitor panel, then it would be much easier to see whether it was active or not. Any other persistent visual indicator would suffice as well.
In the Markers panel, the current marker is highlighted in a slightly lighter gray than the rest (in dark mode, at least). I find it difficult to spot which one is highlighted. It would be great to have the option of it to have a bright blue line around the marker, similar to the one indicating which panel is active.
I think it’s time to update this outdated feature in Premiere Pro.How many of you use this opacity line on each clip for anything else but fading clips out or in?And how many of you accidentally move this line in the heat of video editing especially when there are lots of small clips in your timeline?I suppose the number of the latter ones is ten times as big.So I want to suggest that this opacity line in clips be removed by default and be accessible like the time-remapping and other curves - via the right-click menu “Show clip keyframes” only. And at the same time every clip should have a fader badge like audio clips do:So when anyone needs to fade a clip in or our - I suppose it’s a 99% scenario of using the opacity line - they can just drag the faders to get this effect.
Created an ellipse mask for a Gaussian Blur layer, and enabled animation for Path and Transform/Position for that Mask. Path and Position do not follow the path/positions set at various keyframes in the video. I create a keyframe with one set of positions at point A of the video, and another set for point B of the video. The Path/Position settings do not change as set when the editor moves from point A to B. In version 2025, I used to be able to move the Mask manually around the image at various points in the video and the keyframes with position settings would be automatically created at each point. Now it seems I have to click the Add/Remove Keyframe control (diamond) each time to create a keyframe. That said, because of issue #1 above, these keyframes are useless. I would like the keyframes to be created automatically when repositioning the mask, and for the mask to follow the path/positions that I am trying to set for each keyframe. This used to work in version 2025 when the
I have to use this constantly because each project, the arrangement of option on the panel such as Properties, Effect Controls, and the open project will NOT stay in place, locked in position.Every time I open a project and go to a workspace, they’re not where I left them the last time I worked on that project. I have to put everything back where I had it and “Save changes to this workspace”.
In the current version of Premiere Pro (and it’s been always like that) if for some reason you delete audio from a clip on your timeline, double-clicking it reveals the clip in the source monitor without any audio either:This is kinda strange, because you see the exact source clip with the in and out points set. What I suggest is to make double-clicking act like Match frame - when you double-click a clip on your timeline it opens in the source monitor in its initial state with the sound track included. It’s just a quality-of-life feature which will reduce the amount of clicks.
If I need to apply a modification to all the istances of the same source clip on a timeline, currently I do the following:1.Apply the modification I require to one istance2. Copy the attributes of that istance3.label that clip, than CTRL+F, select that label, FIND ALL4. Paste the attributes to all clips selectedI’d be nice if the selection of all istances of the same source clip could be easier, such as via a right-click menu item?
I have an issue where my caption “clips” don’t align with the video clips in my sequence. I have to go through and manually adjust each one.» Video of issue: 👉 https://somup.com/cOn1XIWQDmI would be useful to have an option to match up when creating.

How can hide this label? it annoys me when I have to display the waveform at the beginning (timeline). Attention I don't want to hide the name of the audio resource, but the label that indicates the audio channel or L R (Can.1, Can.2, L R) see image:Tanks for reply.
Premiere Pro nests (as well as AE comps) have a very big drawback when you have to create lots of them - they are not unique on the timeline. Usually when you need to create a clip with an effect or some kind of animation, like by position or scale, but you don’t want to fiddle with the different sizes of the media, you just make a nest, add all the effects and animations to it (on the “outside level”) and then just change the inner media. The problem with that is that Premiere Pro treats every nest on your timeline as a copy of the one that is automatically created in the project bin, so if you copy one nest 3 times and change the inner media in one of them it will change in the rest to. To solve this problem you have to manually duplicate the nest in the project bin and then place it to the timeline as a copy. This works in smaller projects but when you have tens and hundreds of replaceable nests like this you may go mad and get lost in your project.Make Unique Nest featureWhat I sug
I reported this a long while ago (probably when the “new” universally loathed export tab thing was first introduced...I guess we’ve just got used to the unnecessary multiple clicks it now takes to do basic stuff we took for granted in the good old days), but it’s still not been fixed, so here we go again:Steps to reproduce:Send something to export. Make the Settings column of the Export page wider. Result: …The export file path remains very unhelpfully squishedExpected:Full file path should be displayed if there’s enough space (which there is). While editing, there are steps when I don't need to see some tracks but still need them running. It would be great if I can hide the tracks I'm not using right now like after effects.I could make multiple tracks and move them up(video) or down(audio) and make the timeline small, but if the project is too long, I feel it's kind of risky. It would be great if there is a hide icon right next to the 'toggle track output' icon ps. My account isn't subscribed, but I work with my company's account. I thought it wouldn't be appropriate to write things with my companies account. plz don't think I'm a guy who grumbles without buying things 🥺
Premiere Pro's timeline gets really cluttered with scrollbars when you have a lot of video or audio tracks, which is a pain for big projects. I think it would be a game-changer if they implemented a timeline style like Media Composer's. In Avid, the window expands to fit the tracks without forcing a scrollbar, keeping everything in one view. We should obviously still be able to zoom and resize track heights, but the adaptive window would be much better.
When pasting attributes there needs to be an iption to paste the actual keyframes that are copied. In my case I wanted a little 6 frame scale animation at the start of each clip. Actually achieving this is more work than it should be because it stretches the animation out based on clip length, so if the clip is twice as long the keyframes span 12 frames instead of 6. It's annoying having to keep making presets
Would be nice if we could adjust the “safe zones” in the program monitor. Right now it's just for tv zones. But we all know social media is way bigger. Please make the safe zones adjustable …. for different platforms like instagram reel/ post , YouTube etc...
In 2026, when you mouse over clips in the timeline, there’s cross dissolve boxes on the clip on booth sides.Nice feature, to turn that off. Should be easy.
Since many third-party AI captioning and transcription tools currently outperform Premiere Pro’s built-in captions, I would greatly appreciate either a significant improvement to the quality and accuracy of captions and subtitles within Premiere Pro, or native integration with leading third-party captioning tools (such as Captions).Currently, having to export a video just to add captions in a separate application is inconvenient and disrupts the editing workflow. Improving or expanding captioning capabilities directly within Premiere Pro would save time and greatly enhance usability.
