Add a function that will return the cursor to the starting point of the playback. AE has it. Why doesn't Premiere have it? I don't understand... it's like different software manufacturers.
Hello Adobe Team,I would like to request a new feature for Adobe Premiere Pro: built-in face filters and makeup enhancement tools, similar to what CapCut offers. These tools would let users quickly adjust makeup (lipstick, skin smoothing, contour, eyelashes, eyebrows, etc.) directly inside Premiere Pro, without third-party plugins. This would be extremely helpful for model shoots, beauty content, and any project needing quick makeup corrections. It would also be great to include auto face tracking optimized for applying these filters accurately. This feature would save editors a lot of time and bring modern, in-demand capabilities to Premiere Pro.
Clearing our Preferences is the first suggestion that's given to every problem. But do the people who direct us to do this know how long it takes to get Premiere back to the way we've set it? I've done it a few times in the past and it's taken me weeks to iron out all the little settings and get Premiere behaving the way I like. This process become a huge disincentive for me to clear my Preferences. Since it's the first port of call for every little problem, it would be WONDERFUL if Adobe would provide us with a way of generating a log or digest of what our settings are before we clear them, so that rebuilding them can be a straight-forward process. Yes, I take screenshots of every page of the Prefences dialogue box, and I take screenshots of the layout of the panels in each workspace, and I try to take screenshots of all the menus in the main menu bar, and the hamburger buttons, and the wrench buttons... but it's unweildy and complicated. It would be great if there was
As an experienced video editor, I find myself constantly using the Pitch Shifter tool in Effects > Audio Effects > Time & Pitch > Pitch Shifter. I can't be the only person who needs to change audio pitch when experimenting with sound effects or dialogue, and I'm surprised this tool wasn't included in the Essential Sound panel at launch, especially over tools like Reverb. It's also odd that Reverb is the only effect available to toggle in the Creative dropdown, as if more were intended to be there since the tab is labeled “Creative.” I think the Pitch Shifter effect would make a lot of sense in this tab and help the Reverb toggle feel less isolated.
It would be useful to be able to save a project in Read-Only mode, so that it stays that way when opened in the future. Without having to remember to manually click the writable/read-only toggle right after opening it. I often need to access and copy clips and stuff from old projects, and don't want to accidentally change something in a finalized project. Especially if I have multiple projects open, I might not realize I'm in the wrong project's project panel when importing files and such. The only current somewhat alternative is locking all the tracks on my sequence(s), but that doesn't allow selecting clips in a sequence to be able to copy them for example, therefore requiring unlocking and re-locking them. I suppose I could mark the file as read-only in Windows which works, though I'm not sure if there are cases that attribute might be lost when moving files between file systems, cloud syncing, etc.
Hello Adobe Team,I am currently exploring automation and plugin development for Adobe Premiere Pro. I’m trying to create a tool that automatically consolidates a sequence with multiple video tracks into a single track — similar to manually dragging clips from V5 → V4 → V3 → V2 → V1 while preserving their timing and allowing natural overwrite behavior. In older versions of Premiere, this could be done through the QE API using functions like: app.enableQE(); clip.moveToTrack(videoIndex, audioIndex); However, in current Premiere Pro builds (2023–2025), this function appears to exist in the QE object model but is not operational. Calling it returns either:"not enough parameters""illegal parameter type"or simply does nothingWe tested multiple calling patterns, including: moveToTrack(int); moveToTrack(int, int); moveToTrack(int, int, boolean); moveToTrack(trackObject, flags); None resulted in track movement. We also attempted:ExtendScript / JSX scrip
In a Premiere Team project I can invite other editors from all over the world. It would be nice to have a Premiere Production have the same collaboration benefits, where the Production project is saved in Adobe Cloud, and synced with invited users. But since I currently work on a massive project I organize the project in a Premiere Production project. For myself, that works out very well.At the moment I need some other people to work on the project as well. In a Premiere Production that's not (yet) possible. It is, but I read that it's not too stable. I would simply copy the entire project to a large (transport) drive and ship it to the collaborator. The collaborator will just copy the files to his system. We set up some kind of sync process to sync new files in the future.I would add the collaborator to my Production Project. The collaborator will probably have to re-link some files, to have his projects refer to his local files, while my file references are referencing my l
Hello.I created a Mogart. And I tried to animate the properties in premier. And I saw no watch for making keyframes.what prevent these properties to be animatable? It will be very usefull and handy if they can animate the properties in premier.Thank you.
There should be video frames implemented that allow you to easily edit split screen videos by dragging into various frames. Similar to InDesigns content frames.
Hi there, I have also many clients from Czechia and adding support for Czech language transcription would be amazing and it will streamline my workflow.
Hello Adobe Team,I want to express my strong disappointment with the removal of the RGB Curves effect from Premiere Pro.This was not a broken or outdated feature — it was one of the best, fastest and most precise color tools in the entire application. It was lightweight, responsive, and ideal for quick adjustments without the overhead of the full Lumetri pipeline.Even in the newest versions of Premiere, old projects that contain RGB Curves still load the effect correctly. This proves that the tool still works and that the removal was a product decision, not a technical necessity. For many editors, especially those who value speed and simplicity, RGB Curves was far superior to Lumetri Curves.Lumetri is powerful, but it is also heavier, slower, and not always the right tool for fast workflows. Removing RGB Curves eliminates a workflow that many professionals relied on daily. This decision was a mistake, and it pushes long-time users away from Premiere. In my case, this update makes me seri
Hello, I work with VR a lot. Every new project requires me to take time to change the VR Window's settings to be more realistic. I almost always choose 160 x 90 as that's a more "normal" format and what might be for framing the video later. Either please allow me to set those values globally so they are the same values on a new project.ORChange your defaults to a more useful value set like 160x90. No one uses square, which is the default currently in V 25.5.0 B 13.
I was a little sad to hear about the discontinuation of Adobe Premiere Rush. My daily video editing involves very simple screen recording and camera work. I don't use a powerful, robust computer with a dedicated graphics card, so it suited me perfectly. I received a suggestion to migrate to Premiere on my iPhone, I tested it and was also impressed with the app's features and fluidity; however, I prefer desktop workflows. Therefore, here's my suggestion: a "Premiere Lite" version, bringing the mobile version exactly to the computer. It would make things much easier for those who don't need all the processing power of Premiere Pro. Thank you!!
A very simple and useful feature would be that when you double-click on a nested sequence, then when you close it, it returns to the previous sequence you were in. After Effects does this when you work with pre-composition.
Hi. In Pr 2025\\2026b there are no convenient ways to import and manage presets available for the trancoding feature in the Project Manager. Right now the only option to import a preset is to use the Import Preset in the drop down menu:This brings us to selecting a destination folder where you store your .erp preset files you created with the Media Encoder. Well, in case you have some. This is awkward and totally inconvenient. Why not connect this button to the Preset manager available in the Export menu?I had to google for how to create a preset for the Project Manager, because the initial DNxHR, MXF and Quicktime are a horrible option for archiving projects. Do you have terabytes of storage space for storing those 500Gb project archives the Project Manager creates with these codecs? I don't. I'm sure 90% of video editors here do not either. So I created my own h265 10 bit 420 CBR preset with Me and imported it into the Project Manager and then I encountered another problem - there's n
I would like to be able to toggle the controls on/off like in AE using the "Show Layer Controls" option so the frame doesn't get in the way. I use this option a lot in AE. It's especially useful when using a stroke on a shape, the control frame overlaps the shape, and you can't see the stroke thickness or color. This option would solve the problem of a lot of unnecessary manipulation. Thanks.
I really appreciate how the audio waveform changes on the timeline now as you keyframe it. It would be nice if, say when a keframe is brought all the way down, a shadow of the original waveform was still visible so it would be possible to still read the audio that's there even if the level is too low to be audible.
It'd be very useful if we could "solo" video track(s) the same way we can solo audio tracks. Right now, I'm flattening a sequence down to only the archival used. I have a REF with Difference Blend on the top video track to double-check if there are instances where two pieces of archival on different layers are being used (ex. as a split screen). There are many cases where I run across a discrepancy and want to just see the REF to see what things are supposed to look like. It'd be helpful to be able to solo the video track the REF is on rather than needing to keep turning Difference Blend on & off. I have Difference Blend & Normal Blend mapped to my keyboard, but I have to do this often enough that soloing a video track would be helpful.
Hi - I don't plan on using this for my line of work and would love the option to turn it on/off entirely or in the toolbar. Thank you.
There should be an easy way to apply effects that span entire video layers at once without adjustment layers. Adjustment layers don't always work because they cascade down every track underneath it, and not just a single layer at a time. For example, Track Matte doesn't work when you need to adjust the size of the layers within the matte, and you have to apply it for every clip. If the Video Track has track matte on, it should apply to the track as if the video track is the size of the canvas. Other things like crop, or lumetri colors should be applicable too.
Hello everyone!I don't think this is possible but if it is I haven't figured out how to do it.I'm working with Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 using 3 monitors. I would like to be able to choose in which monitor the windows open such as the “Preferences” window, the “keyboard shortcuts” window, the “new sequence” window or any other window of this type. I'm not talking about windows located in the "window" tab that we can place wherever we want in our work interface and then save this work interface.
I don't know if it's my specific version of the software, but for some reason they removed the text editing feature for subtitles. It was really useful for adding a thin black outline to make them stand out on bright videos; it gave them an elegant and personal touch. Now they've limited it to just adding colored backgrounds, which honestly look a bit clunky. I hope they can bring it back to how it was before. Premiere Pro Version 25.6.3
I have a suggestion that I believe would be a great improvement to quality of life! Imagine a scenario where you have several effects and presets that you use frequently, but generally, you use them in Adjustment Layers. In the current moment, we must create an adjustment layer, drag it to the timeline above the desired layers, then drag the effect or preset from the effects panel to the adjustment layer. It's a process that works, but takes many steps. Now imagine a much smarter scenario: Instead of doing all the initial work, you would simply drag an effect or a preset to the timeline! If the cursor is above a location that already has an element (such as an A-roll, B-roll, Image, text, or anything), the effect I'm dragging will be applied to that element, as already happens currently, BUT, if I drag it to an empty space on the timeline, an adjustment layer will be created automatically with that effect applied! It would be extremely simpler and more practical for repet
Hey Adobe people. Please make the Media Intelligence Analysis scan run AFTER the creation of the audio PKF files, and do it one by one. When I load huge projects from an external drive to create a project, sync video, and program proxy generation, Media Intelligence Analysis can effectively clog up the external USB drive by analyzing 4-5 files at once, while also creating the PKF files. What should take a few minutes, takes hours, unless I manually cancel it and allow only the PKF files to be generated.
26 beta. I couldn't find a hotkey in the settings to show/hide the timeline for keyframes. My small MacBook monitor is very limited in space, and I would like to be able to quickly press an available key to hide this window and continue working after editing keyframes. Please add this to the list of available hotkeys. While this is not critical for most users, it complicates the process for the minority who work on small monitors, and it will save us. In any case, it won't hurt anyone, but we will have the option to choose. Thanks! [title edited by mod for clarity]
