Feature Requests

Would love to have a keyboard shortcut to bookmark a spot on the timeline, and then be able to go back to that spot later.  Thinking something like the "last channel" button on a TV remote control.  Basically, a temp marker that can be turned on/off easilySometimes, I am working on a section of the timeline and then move somwhere else on the timeline to look for a clip.  It would be nice to be able to go right back to where I was originally.  Instead of having to remember and type in the time code, or searching the timeline again. For example, if i am at 01:24:12;12 on the timeline, it would be nice to be able to click "CMD+2" to set a bookmark for that spot, and then if I scroll ahead to 03:18:08;09 and want to go back, i would be able to click "CMD+3" to go back to the orignal bookmark at 01:24:12;12.  And then "CMD+2" again to turn off the mark.  

A simple audio mute button on the source monitor. It's REALLY time consuming to have to turn the volume down every time I want to scan source footage with audio. If you forget, it blares noise at you and you clients. Ever shoot in a factory or loud crowd or sporting event?

Ability to save audio track effect presets.

Does Adobe offer any library to view what each Adobe Premiere Pro transition will look like?

a lot of the times ill need to unlink footage to make adjustments on the audio and then need to relink again, however iif there's already cuts and i need to make adjustments then i wont be able to relink again. i would LOVE a feature where you can toggle a button that makes it so when you click on a certain clip in the timeline it selects everything thats above and below that clip aswell (aka the footage's audio files or other povs/camera angles on top) technicially we do already have a feature like this such as select clip at playhead, however that means that you need to have your playhead at the clip. i want to be able to just click and delete since normally im cutting large amounts of footage. i feel like this feature would be great especiially for multi pov as having to drag your mouse across multiple povs is extremelyy timie consuming and constantly stopping and starting with "select clip at playhead" is also time consuming

Whenever I need to increase the speed of an audio clip while maintaining pitch, I resort to taking it out of Premiere and into Audition because Premiere's "Maintain Audio Pitch" sounds terrible. I don't love that workflow, because it replaces the original clip destructively, so if I need to go back and adjust the length in the future, I have to hunt down the original clip and do the whole process over again. I figured out a workaround to non-destructively alter the clip within premiere by using the pitch shifter effect combined with the speed effect (see video). The fact that I can easily do this with Premiere's own tools begs the question "Why isn't this simply how the maintain audio pitch option sounds?" I'd love to see this feature fixed in Premiere. 

Can we please get support for Nikon's NRAW codec? Resolve and Edius already have it cooked up and ready to go. This reactive rather proactive approach to codec integration is really disappointing. First it was Prores RAW (still ongoing issues) and now NRAW. How about Adobe show Nikon shooters a bit of love here?

I would like to ask that "Essential Graphics" be returned to the workspace in Premiere Pro 2025. It was in Pro 2024 and on the right side of the Main View with Effects, Lumetri and other tabs. According to Kriti and what I found it, it was removed from the right side panel. With Kriti's help we were able to find what I've been using by adding Properties to the right side of the page. I use the centering of Text to the Program monitor (align and transform) and it disappeared from its normal position with the change of Pro 2024 to Pro 2025. I feel this is an important feature to have readily available as it was also easy to use - being able to center Text to the frame both vertically and horizontally and align the text to fit to the frame.

I have been using the shortcut "Ripple trim next edit to playhead", but I am looking for a shortcut that will only trim the current track that I have selected. Is that possible in Premiere?Thanks in advance

Allow us to select two or clips or any kind, and copy/cut then paste to a target track, but if they were on separate tracks previously, it forces them all to appear on the target track. See illustration of how this would work in the screenshot. This would be HUGE for organizing timelines and prepping for mix etc.

I am cutting 2 feature films on Adobe Premiere.  I have many video tracks and even more audio tracks.  I organize the audio tracks into groups like A1-A11 for DIALOGUE, A12-A13 for ADR, A14-A22 for SFX,  and finally a bunchy of tracks for MUSIC.  Similarly on the video side, i have various tracks for multicams, overlays, text files, temp graphics, subtitles etc.  This is important to keep myself and my AE organized, but also to have things clean when we have picture lock and the films go on to sound mix. With so many tracks in my timeline it can get a little confusing trying to orient yourself and make sure that things are placed on the correct track.  I would LOVE to be able to do one of the following: 1) Select a color for a video or audio track that will color the background of that track all the way down the timeline, or 2) set a color for a video or audio track and any clip placed on that track will automatically turn the selected color.  This wa

It would help if there was a warning prompt alerting the user that an effect can't be pasted to the Source tab (not the Source Monitor) from the master clip tab, in the Effect Controls panel, because of whatever is preventing it from being pasted. In this case it was a mask on the Mosaic video effect. Once the mask was removed, effect pasting was avialable again into the Source tab. This was all on an adjustment layer, by the way. But I'm sure it applies to other video/still clips as well. 

Have the option for the adjustment layer to affect only the layer immediately below it (as can be used in Photoshop) and not all layers below it.

I love the submix audio tracks, espcially when I need to mix music stems. However, it 's frustrating that if I make an edit in my sequence that changes time or length, the submix track doesn't move with everything else. I have to either select all the keyframes and move them, which is never perfect, or remix each and every time. It's such a waste of time. PLEASE fix this.

We should always be able to view waveforms on multicam clips. Even if you make a change to the multicam clip (like adding another audio track or muting an audio track etc). Thanks!

Would love to have a generative layer tool added to Adobe Premiere Pro similr to the tool for Photoshop. Would greatly assist in student organization. 

Why, after years, would they switch the "locate" and "cancel" options?? I am accidently canceling the link media process all the time

We can export markers, but not import them.Import -> CSV or TXT or JSON -> markers to sequence or markers to clip.Nothing too smart, just timecode and marker, maybe even the comment.This would help integrate with nonstandard workflows and would help prevent us moving the whole workflow to a competitor product.

Can you offer a Preference so that, when I make a subsequence, it doesn't default to making a subsequence only of the clips that are highlighted in a sequence? I subsequence all the time and have never needed to only subsequence a selected clip; I've always only wanted a subsequence of the tracks I select within an in/out range. It's frustrating when I try to make a subsequence and end up with a subsequence of only the highlighted clip. There may be users who want this behavior, but it'd be a real help if we could choose to disable and enable it, in Preferences.

Introduce an "Automatic Track Targeting" feature in Premiere Pro to streamline the editing process, similar to the functionality available in Avid Media Composer. This feature would dynamically adjust track targeting based on user actions, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.For example if the "Source" is on V1 and you want it to go to V4 in the Program, instead of clicking and dragging the V1 up you can simply click V4 and V1 will automatically move up. This is a huge time saver. Proxy Workflow within Sequence Starting a project, I usually create proxies first so that I can speed through an edit.  But sometimes I've forgotten to make proxies before starting to edit.  Then I'm in a place where I have an initial edit to iterate on, and I want to go fast (and often match frame) but I don't want to make proxies of every file of imported footage.  I like the idea of creating proxies of the fewer files I've selected my clips from, rather than the entire pool of imported footage.Right now, my workaround is to label the clips in my sequence all a particular color, then create a search bin for that particular color label, and then create proxies from that.I would love to be able to create proxies from directly within the sequence panel, maybe as an option when I right-click clips.Here is a forum post from user Jeena22389650a1ho highlighting the problem: Solved: is there anyway to see a list view of all clips th... - Adobe Product Commu

Hi, I would like to ask for a feature where I would add a clip on timeline to selection with a keyboard shortcut (maybe shift+d) instead of shift+click. Currently I can only select clip at playhead wtih D key. A simple shift + D with function like "Add to selection" would do.
