I am new to Fresco and digital art as a whole and I was wondering if there was a technique people use to turn their line work into a coloured/painted image. I would like to achieve more of a 3D look to my drawing by getting rid of most of the black lines and instead having colours meet in a straight line rather than having the black lines separating them. From there I would like to have opaque highlights and shadows where the black lines used to be. Is there a straightforward way to do this that I am overlooking and are there any other colouring/painting methods I could use to achieve what I have in my head? I have attached a screenshot of my line work and a colour-filled version for clarity.
I always felt Raster Drawing was Adobe's least cared about thing until Fresco. However it appears the list of features are at an end so Im curious what do you have planned going further? I almost wish adobe would just ask us what we want. What would make the program better for artist pro's and hobbyiest alike. For me I'd ask for a better layer management, like you cant see your layers names unless you click one by one, and cant turn off visibility of your layer unless you click the eye icon off to the side, its just really alot of extra clicks that take you out your flow. So QOL things like this.
I just recently discovered Adobe Fresco and love it so far. A question for others who create different layers for sketches before doing final inking: I sometimes find it difficult to differentiate the layer thumbnails, especially when the layer only contains a faint sketch outline. I tend to use a lot of layers, and find it a pain to have to open up the various layers to remind myself of the contents. In Procreate, I can name layers but as far as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be way of naming layers in Fresco. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what is your workaround? Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Debbie
I am new to Fresco and digital art as a whole and I was wondering if there was a technique people use to turn their line work into a coloured/painted image. The example I will use is an image drawn with black lines and then filled in with colour using the fill tool. Now I have a coloured image with black lines separating each section of my drawn image. I want to expand these colours so that instead of having black lines separating sections there will be a clean line where two colours meet on the centreline of the black line work. I have attached 2 images with a rough visual example of what I am trying to achieve, they are taken on iPhone but I usually use Fresco on iPad. I very roughly went over half of the black line in 1 colour using a hard round pixel brush. I then used the colour in the adjacent section to cover the other half of the black line in an attempt to make the 2 colours meet in a clean straight line. As you can see this isn't perfect at all and it takes a lot of

Is there a way to set a pixel brush to open by default on startup? I never use the sketch brush its defaulted as now, and it's annoying to have to manually select my preferred brush from the menu every time i open a new document.

Hello,I created a vector drawing in Adobe Fresco and having an issue with my vector export. The drawing appears nice and clean within the app, as well as when exported as a JPG or PNG. However, when exporting as a PDF, strange fragments appear that are not visible in the application or the preview app. These fragments only become apparent when I open the drawing in Acrobat Reader or Adobe Illustrator. It seems to be related to the alpha channel, but I'm uncertain. It's quite frustrating. (drawing in Fresco app)(strange fragments around the head and beside the legs in the PDF export) Does anyone have a solution or know what to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Every time I open fresco it just crashes and here's random stuff I drew
Good evening. I tried doing a search before posting this question but didn't have any luck. So.... Does Adobe Fresco support Palm Rejection? I found answers for other Adobe applications but didn't find any postings about this in Fresco. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi all,the pressure sensitivity of my wacom intuos pro works perfectly well on all adobe CC programms except on Adobe Fresco. In the settings I find the options for adjusting the pressure sensitivity, but no matter how I choose them, there is no change in the stroke that I can draw in the little test field. Unsurprisingly, the pressure I put on my pen has no effect on the stroke, whatever brush I use in a document. Also tilting shows no effects on the brushstrokes. I did play aroundwith the brush settings a lot, so far unsuccessfully. Is there any known procedure to get the pen sensitivity working with the intuos pro or did I just overlook an option to activate it in Adobe Fresco? Any of your help would be greatly appreceated!
I adjusted settings in and out of fresco, re-installed the app, updated pc 100s of times. I just can't find the bug to why only in the fresco app my pen reaction is slow. it takes away the 'realistic feel'. because if i draw a curved line, it only starts catching on later and ends up making a dot randomly. Or a straight line as if i was holding down the pen. I really don't want to use another application. PLEASE HELP :'( it was working before but for about two months now I've been looking for a solution. (Acer i7 travel Mate)
How can I set the file to CMYK in Fresco?
I'm using the windows version at the moment but it doesn't get updated as much as iOS version. I'm looking at getting an iPad 10th gen 64GB, and was wondering if this is sufficient to run fresco? How many layers can you get? Is there any lag? Any advice greatly appreciated.
I don't know if there's a solution for this but, I'm using an xp pen tablet (non touch screen) and I can zoom in and out with my wheel's short cut but I can only zoom in or out from the center, if I want to zoom in a corner I can't. I'm knew to fresco but this problem means I can't use the app which is a shame since it's everything i'm looking for.
Is there a way to expand your selection in Fresco? When I select my pencil layer with the magic wand, in PS, I usually expand the selection so the colour on the layer beneath it goes right under the pencil line but I can't seem to do this in Fresco which makes life harder! I know you can transform/scale it but it doesn't work the same way as expanding outwards.Am I missing something as I'm new to Fresco or is it not possible? Thanks in advance!
I selected a project to resume in Fresco tonight on my iPad after not working on it for a few months and was kicked out of the app as soon as I clicked on it. This has never happened before. I've always been able to close the app, reopen it, and resume a project. I couldn't log back in tonight - I got an error saying the "account does not have access to a synced storage location". I contacted chat support and was told none of my Fresco projects were backed up to the cloud because I do not have a paid plan. They said that me being logged out of Fresco with a free plan resulted in my projects all being deleted. I'm extremely frustrated and confused because I thought Fresco was free to use with *optional* premium features. Based on what I keep reading, 5gb of work should have synced to the cloud, and possibly the rest should be stored locally in the app? But everything I did in Fresco is gone. Hundreds of hours of work. Nothing saved or backed up. How is this possible? I'm currently under
iPad Pro with Adobe Fresco, no screen mirroring with a projector. I am doing comic workshops and graphic recording and would like to use Adobe Fresco. The last attempt failed because the projector does not mirror the iPad screen, but only shows a kind of presentation view.Apple Keynote has a similar effect when playing videos, they are then not displayed on the tablet, but only on the beamer. This is the so-called presentation mode. With Graphic Recording you work on a large image but the parts of the image that are currently being presented in the moderation are always zoomed and enlarged. This works fine on Procreate.
