How do I draw a straight line using the Photoshop app on an iPad Pro with an Apple stylus? thanks? Randy [Moving from generic Start/Help forum to the specific Program forum... Mod][To find a forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/]
You have removed the ability to change the pixel width or height of an image unless it is to be resampled. This is nuts! You often need to open and image and change its dimension or PPI value and NOT resample it. You want to do this in PIXELS. Why don’t you ask a few users before yanking things. I am going to have to use another app for this basic ability.
Please add auto-align and focus-stacking to PS iPad, because the iPads nowadays are strong enough for this feature! And we’re paying for Photoshop, so we’re expecting the full version of Photoshop, even for our iPads! Don’t be lame and add these features to Photoshop for iPads, thankyou.
Hi, I am urgently reporting a very inconvenient issue with Photoshop’s current brush size-saving system, and I’m asking for a fix.I love Photoshop and want to continue using it, but the lack of a per-brush size memory feature makes it very stressful to work with. Other art programs such as Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, Krita, and Blender’s Grease Pencil already include this feature, which makes the workflow far more intuitive. Here’s what I need Photoshop to do:Each brush should remember its own last-used size independently, rather than all brushes sharing one size. The current problem:If I use Brush A at size 20, then switch to Brush B at size 5, returning to Brush A resets its size—it doesn’t remember I last used it at 20. Even with the "Capture Brush Size in Preset" option unchecked, all brushes just share the most recent size. This makes it impossible to keep track of the sizes I set for different brushes. Why presets don’t solve this:Of course, I could save new brush presets for each
Just like in Procreate.Draw a shape and hold your pen at the end of the stroke to create a perfect Circle, Oval, Square, or Line using your existing brush and stroke pressure.I have read lots of posts asking for this in the community and the solution offered was to use the shape tool…. That’s not a solution that’s a problem.I want to snap to shapes and lines using my custom brush with my desired pressure. I couldn’t believe how much better I felt and could draw using procreate. This feature is more than a tiny one, this feature can absolutely make or break your growth and successes as a graphic designer. I talk with lots of friends who are illustrators who work for Nike, Pacsun, Under Armour, etc on a regular basis and there’s one thing they ALL have in common. Procreate. Procreate. Procreate. Not a single one of them uses photoshop, not one. Why should I?All of their responses are nearly identical. the auto shape features are one of the “very first” and “most essential” tools they use
Your background removal tool has seen significant improvements over the past month. However, why is the quality of the path generated by the „Arbeitspfad aus Auswahl erstellen“ in German Photoshop <<Make Work Path from Selection>> function so poor?In my daily workflow, creating clipping paths for stock agencies and product libraries remains extremely time-consuming. Even in 2026, such clipping paths are still required. Yet, the current automatic path generation produces flawed angles and far too many anchor points. The resulting clipping path is useless and is rejected by database systems! Please help me speed up the manual creation of clipping paths in Photoshop 2026 by modernizing the "Make Work Path from Selection" function and fully leveraging the background removal engine. It is crucial that the process doesn't place thousands of points—using perhaps only 10–15% would suffice—while still delivering a satisfactory result. Humans are capable of this; it would be great if
Make a MAC OS preference to disable Photoshop from automatically becoming the active application when a document opens. I would like to have Photoshop open documents and run automations/scripts in the background while I work in a different application like the web browser. Currently each time a document opens it brings Photoshop to the foreground as the active application. This makes it difficult to multi-task, especially if running a batch automation. It makes it impossible to do anything else besides letting Photoshop run it’s course and take over the machine. I would love to be able to hide the Photoshop application while it runs in the background.
Every so often I run into a situation where I've created a full bleed design but when I go to set it up to print I realize that I forgot to include the bleed area past the trim line. Where this is especially annoying is when it is a photograph or piece of art that I don't really want to enlarge to account for the bleed.A work around is copying and then reflecting the image on each edge and butting it up against the trim line. Also, you can generative fill the bleed area. Both of those tactics work, but they are annoying. It would be awesome if there was a simple button to press where you said "create bleed" and you could set the size of the bleed you wanted and AI would just generate the bleed for you without any fuss. This would have to be in Photoshop.Maybe this is just a me problem, lol, but we have the technology!!
Add the ability for us to pan around the canvas using the middle mouse button. It's more time saving to use it compared to going for the spacebar since your hand is already on the mouse. We have been asking for this feature for over 10 years. We shouldn't have to look for third party software or buy gaming mice with programable buttons to jerry rig something close enough at this point. Some people can't use normal/gaming mice anyways due to injury or disability so we're locked out of those options. Last I checked you have this canvas panning feature in After Effects. Why introduce super useful features, but keep them exclusive to only one of your apps? I've noticeed this so many times on different Adobe programs it's honestly annoying..
Is there a way to disable this. I know it is a Windows feature for navigating without a mouse but who really uses PS without a mouse. If I start to do a key command and press alt then realize I want to do something else I have to hit Escape. If I don't hit escape menus start to drop down when I try to use my tools. I can not stand this navigation feature and it has been bugging me for years. If I remember correctly the Mac version of photoshop does not have this.
It would be helpful to have a trail of creation prompts and/or prompt changes that are automatically saved to the final image’s metadata. This would help in following the path that led to the final image creation and the image origin.
Earlier today Photoshop updated and added advertisements for new “features” to the front page. I pay you money. I should not have to scroll past advertisements for features I neither want nor use to get to my own files interface. I don’t want to have to disable the welcome screen entirely, I want it to be functional again. These should be optional. Add a toggle for them.
How the heck does Photoshop online not have any Polygon Lasso tool. It’s like this app is being developed by people who don’t actually use Photoshop.
Every new update we seem to get old bugs back. Hue Sat adjustment layers not working, preferences failing, select and mask memory leaks, GPU accelerations issues, zoom and pan locking up issues, fonts not loading, shape and pens sticking, ect…. This is just a few of issues we get all the time and every update is a gamble, Adobe has a track record of not fixing their software and plowing in features no one wants like shoving trash into an overflowing can. So yeah feature request to fix your software.
Potential enhancements could include the ability to snap windows or panels horizontally, allowing elements such as the toolbar to be viewed in this orientation. Expanding customisation options for windows and panels would further benefit users by enabling them to tailor their workspace to their specific needs and preferences. Also, offering the option to set panels to display in highly detailed, standard, or minimalistic modes would increase flexibility and significantly enhance the overall user experience.Examples provided for visual context.
Please change keyboard shortcut for changing brush size using drag to ‘Ctrl+Alt+Drag’ in Window ver photoshop. Current shortcut key is not appropriate or easy to use for Windows users. Do all Adobe team use Mac OS only? To think that it was ok to set short cut for brush size like this, that must be so. I use bracket shortcuts because I have no choice but each time I have to reach out to press bracket keys, my workflow gets interrupted. It’s very inconvenient and frustrating as my work speed is slow. Since I am already using other keys as shortcuts for other needed tools, I cannot assign changing brush size to any other keys. For me to be able to use ‘Ctrl+Alt+drag’ to change brush size will be a huge improvement to my efficiency and usability of photoshop. I strongly request for an update here. Other tools such as Clip Studio, Paint Tool Sai, Medibang Paint etc. are all using ‘Ctrl+Alt+drag’ as brush size change shortcut. I do not understand why Adobe won’t f
I was in a situation where I needed to disable all of the zoom with mouse wheel preferences today, and then had to go back in to re-enable after I was done. We can already save several custom states with custom workspaces, and I use shortcuts to switch between and reset my workspaces. It would be lovely if we could do the same thing with Preferences. It’s not a biggie because it’s probably not something a lot of people do every day, but if it was not too hard, I think we’d welcome it.
Hi, Whenever I'm working on a file, 99% of the time I use the Save for Web shortcut [CMD+Option+Shift+S] to export my files. Right now I'm working on preparing some images for a website and I need to export them in the WebP format. I know that I can export to WebP through the "Save as..." window, but that doesn't let me adjust the scale/dimension and see the output file size, which is a bit annoying because I need to have that control to make sure the file is the right size. Is there a way to add a WebP preset to the list of presets in the "Save for Web" window? Thanks!
Anyone else find the new curves adjustment line and points to be overly thick and huge? Not sure why as the previous width and size of the line and curve points were just fine and easier to make small adjustments. Here's a screen capture of them now in PS 27.1.0.ps_27-1_curves_adj.png
Make the hand tool available in every panel: Currently, the hand tool is only available in the canvas window. Allowing users to use the hand tool in every panel, such as the layers panel or the history panel, would make it easier to navigate the interface with mouse and all types of graphics pen tablets.
The masking tools in Camera Raw are easy, efficient, and powerful, especially with the Alt Intersect shortcut. It might be very useful, if we could export them to be re-used in Photoshop, even if we lose their dynamicness.
When merging layers in Photoshop, the resulting layer always takes the name of the topmost layer. Could you add an option for the merged layer to keep the name of the first selected layer instead? This would save time and avoid constant renaming.
I am currently working on a template for headshots with the upcoming election and want to show a 'live area' for clients to reference when aligning their photos to the guide. A cropped artboard would not work in this case, since the program we upload the final to will crop the image according to the info submitted. My idea is to have the ability to turn a layer, into a 'guide only' layer. Like the one in After Effects, a layer that you can leave the visibility on and it won't export with the final. A lot of what we do as designers is to make the hand-off as easy to use as possible. This would be a useful feature for templates.
I would like to request an option in Preferences that allows users to specify a fixed default font size for new text layers. At present, even after resetting Preferences, the default font size may be automatically set to a large value such as “50.” This appears to be influenced by document resolution and zoom level rather than by a user-defined setting. While automatic sizing may be useful in some situations, it creates unnecessary repetitive adjustments for users who frequently create labels, annotations, figures, presentation graphics, or other text-heavy materials. For professional workflows, consistency and predictability are often more important than automatic optimization. It would be very helpful to have an option such as:Default Type Size: [ 16 pt ] Enable automatic default type size based on document resolution and zoomThis would allow users to choose between Adobe’s automatic behavior and a fixed personal default, improving efficiency without removing the current functionality.
