My Illustrator starts lagging severely after I create a share for review, literally right after creating it, the lag becomes unbearable, forcing me to restart the program to fix the issue.
Upon creating a new file, there are plenty of template, but none are custom made.I Always wanted the hability to create a custom template with canvas size, RGB or CMYK, multiple Canvas or not, bleed etc. Custom swatche for our brands colors and remove the one we never uses.cherry on top would be to choose a default font. The hability to save / modify it or delete it, and of course find it in the New document window. The hability to download community templates woud be great too.
Sometimes a panel will open so tall that even if you can drag the top of it to the top of your screen, you can't select the bottom edge so you can shorten it. There is a "Reset" option for your workspace, but I don't think Adobe should assume users know about it or have to resort to it. To compare, my Mac and Windows computers can detect available resolutions and refresh rates of external displays, so it would not be a stretch to assume that a desktop application can detect the user's display and correct accordingly.
Dear Adobe Illustrator Development Team,I am writing to propose the implementation of a feature that would significantly improve workflow and precision in vector drawing: the automatic transparent visualization of the original path during edits, similar to an "Onion Skin" or "Ghost Path" effect.Currently, when moving anchor points or directional handles with the Direct Selection tool, the original curve disappears. To maintain a visual reference of the previous state, it is necessary to duplicate the path, lock it, assign a contrasting color, and finally delete it once the adjustment is complete. In fields where extreme geometric precision is required, such as product design, technical drafting, or the preparation of structured technical spec sheets, this manual and repetitive workaround causes constant interruptions to the workflow. The solution I am proposing consists of adding an option (which could be enabled via General Preferences or by holding a modifier key) that keeps a low-opa
Just like Drop Shadow, but clipped to the inside of an object. I imagine this would be so easy to implement and would have saved me a ridiculous amount of time over my decades long career.
I often have three apps open on my desktop while I work in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and their toolbars all look pretty much the same when I’m popping back and forth. If they were different colours it would be very helpful. Right now I constantly end up losing the InDesign screen to an Photoshop or Illustrator image. It’s obviously not fatal, but it’s annoying as hell. (Why don’t you have a suggestion category for InDesign anyway?)
When LAB spot colors are added to a creative cloud library, they’re automatically converted to RGB or CMYK, based on the color profile of the current document. This is a huge problem when trying to maintain consistent color across multiple documents using different color profiles, and has made it impossible to share a color library across our organization.
The default zoom percentages are not always ideal for what I’m working on. lt would be very helpful to be able to change the default zoom percentages in preferences.
The $65 monthly charge is too steep when it includes features and programs that are not relevant to me. I doh’t do video, websites, animation, etc. I pay $20 a month for Lightroom and Photoshop. I would pay $30 a month for those programs plus InDesign and Illustrator.
Getting this error with very little running and plenty of RAMBeta 30.9.66
I opened a pdf file to illustrator and commanded AI to add an image to one artboard and then convert artboards to svg. When in the beginning step of adding the image the app crashes.
JPEG image drag-and-drop to Illustrator: nothing shows up. I can't see the previous ones, and I can't see the picture either. Undo past; I can see it, but the image doesn't show up Before drag-and-drop After drag-and-drop
I have connected to internet, still it is saying internet issues
I’d like to be able to treat artboards as a group for moving, printing and other operations. The option to enable bleed for individual artboards
I'm having a really annoying issue with the new Turntable feature in Illustrator. Whenever I select an object and click Turntable, the generation loading window flashes on my screen for a split second, immediately shuts down, and then nothing happens. The artwork doesn't change at all, and it doesn't even turn into a Turntable group in my layers panel. This isn't just a glitch on one machine or with one specific file. It happens on multiple different computers using my Adobe login, even if I try it on a super basic shape in a brand-new blank document. The weirdest part is that other AI tools like Text to Vector work completely fine on the exact same computers and internet network. So I know my internet is working and I definitely have plenty of generative credits left. Here is everything I've already tried to fix it, but nothing has worked:Checked my Adobe account page to confirm I have lots of generative credits. Grouped and expanded the artwork to make sure the paths are clean. Tried it
It would be great if the software didn't crash so much and was more stable; I think that's the first thing that should have been prioritized. Working with your software is a nightmare. You could also improve your lack of customer support. I don't know how the other apps work, but Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop are awful.
Hello,Latest Beta Build 30.9.66 is now available in CCD. We have below fixes in this build:Quick Skill Guide (Batch 2 and Batch 3 EN content)Build your Illustrator skills right inside the app with the Quick Skill Guide - a guided Skill Builder that walks you through essential tools and features, hands-on. A progress ring tracks how far you've come as you complete each tutorial. How to Use:Click the new bulb icon to open the Quick Skill Guide. Select a skill you'd like to learn. Choose a step-by-step tutorial, with an accompanying video, and follow along on the sample file that opens. Watch the progress ring update as you complete each tutorial in the skill.Blend On-Canvas Controls:We’ve added on-canvas Blend controls, making it easier to adjust blends directly where you’re working. Try it out and let us know how the controls feel in your
I draw using the paintbrush tool and it works but the lines are much thicker than they should be, and I cannot edit the strokes. The way ive found around it is that i need to select all the drawn lines, clear the appearance, then I can change the stroke width and matches what it should be. Once I’ve cleared the appearance I can also edit the type of stroke (like turning a solid line into a dashed line). Also the eraser continuously erases things outside of its radius no matter how small i make the eraser.
I have an image embedded in my Illustrator document that I’d like to remove, so I do ‘go to link’ to delete it:...but ‘Go To Link’ does absolutely nothing. Obviously a bug.So then I try to ‘Unembed’ it, but I get the stupid error: “The image cannot be unembedded because it is hidden.”. Another bug:There is also the option “Show in Explorer”, which makes no sense for an embedded image. Selecting this just opens the Libraries panel. Another bug.So then I just click on the trash can icon, and bug number 4 appears:I don’t care that it’s hidden, and neither should Illustrator! I hate the way Illustrator NEVER allows me to do ANYTHING on hidden items. It is frustrating and pointless that this restriction exists. As a last resort, I’ve tried asking the SLOOOOWWWW (I’m typing this while it ‘thinks’) and generally useless AI Assistant to “Find any embedded images and show them in the Layers palette” and, to my surprise, it succeeded! That’s the first time I’ve ever found a use for the AI Assista

Ai is great. I love working with it. But a big panel message like this should be hide-able.
Illustrator (Beta) installs and launches once, but after a system restart or letting the machine sit overnight, it stops opening. The app hangs at the very start of launch and never reaches the UI. A clean reinstall fixes it only for one session. After the next reboot, the issue returns. Repro steps:Install Illustrator (Beta) from Creative Cloud.Launch it — it opens normally.Restart macOS Tahoe (or wait until the next day).Launch again — the app hangs on startup. Troubleshooting already done:full reinstall of Creative Cloud Desktopremoval of OOBE, SLCache, SLStoredeletion and clean reinstall of Illustrator (Beta)ran Adobe Log Collector immediately after failure This behavior began only after upgrading to macOS Tahoe. Illustrator (release) still works; only the Beta build becomes unusable after Tahoe’s system integrity checks post-restart. Looking for confirmation from Adobe whether the current Illustrator Beta build is compatible with macOS Tahoe, and if there is a
I constantly accidentally detach windows from the sides of the screen, and it’s becoming really frustrating. I wish there was an option to lock windows in place once they’re docked, so they can’t accidentally be dragged or detached.Ideally, the windows should still be resizable while locked, but their position and docking state should remain fixed. This would make the interface much more stable and prevent accidental movements when working quickly or trying to resize a window.A simple “Lock window position” or “Lock docked windows” option would solve this problem and make the overall workflow much less frustrating.
We need enhanced Variable Data functionality in Adobe Illustrator similar to InDesign's Data Merge. The key requirement is supporting multi-styled text within a single Area Type frame/Point text while using dynamic variables.
Certain transform tools don't show a live preview of changes while editing (e.g. the rotate tool won't show previews of rotation before releasing). Some notes:This is a new behavior, as of a recent update. This only happens using "View using GPU"; the preview works normally with "View using CPU", albeit slightly slower. This occurs even if "Real-Time Drawing and Editing" is active in Preferences>Performance and GPU is selected as active on the same page. This behavior isn't present in the current non-Beta Illustrator version using the same hardware and GPU settings.
