Illustrator on the iPad

the ipad app has some kind of bug, it is a white screen with distorted buttons that don't work when I login. I have reset my ipad and deleted and redownloaded but it is still the same.

Hello all I can't figure out a way to trim intersecting paths in Illustrator, like the way I could in Fresco:Am I missing something?

Please help, as I am struggling with proportions while grouping objects.

Hey Y'all, I'm an architecture student trying to move my workflow over onto the iPad (its hard). When I try to export my work to a  psd file to open it in procreate (since the default png export is 72ppi), it doesn't export, save, upload to gDrive, or anything as a PSD or SVG. This is particularly interesting since it does work for a heavier file I've worked on my iPad, in comparison the file in the video is nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? I know the app is relatively brand new but why does this work sometimes, and others not? Alternatively I would love a way to export 300 ppi .png as well if someone has gotten that to work.

So, I signed up for the subscription for the illutrator on the iPad juts now. Mostly, I am trying to convert my photos and paper based illustrations into vector art, and see if I can enhance them from there. I have an ageing iPad Mini."2019 Apple iPad Mini with A12 Bionic chip". So, it's pretty old. I am surprised the tablet is still running.  Now, this is what happens. In all these scenarios, I am creating a new document, and then, loading up one of my photos. I am a photographer, so most of the photos of high quality photos in large size JPG or RAW format from the camera. 1. Sometimes, the vectorization process begins in earnest, takes its own sweet time (5 seconds to 20 seconds), and I get a nice vectorized output. The default output is color and it looks amazing. Hey everyone, Recently the illustrator app paint brush and blob brush have stopped filling in the shapes, but the pencil tool does so I know the app still has the capacity. Curiously as well, the secondary function button disappears when those are selected vs. other tools. No matter what color for fill I choose, when I draw, it resets, and even more frustratingly, it doesn't allow me to choose a fill after on closed shapes. I've tried to show the disappearance and switching in screenshots below. I've already deleted and reinstalled the app, reset the iPad, and checked for updates. iPad 7th Gen/iOS 16.5 Screenshots are provided below .

Hi, I'm very new to Illustrator and I only have it on the iPad. I am trying to get words into the shape of mountains. Every tutorial I have seen is on the desktop, and that does not help me because I cannot use those shortcuts. I think the part I am getting stuck at is the Envelope Distort part, because I haven't found it yet on the iPad. Any help? 

How to write in Arabic language specially in iPad 

My app keeps crashing!!! It opens but after a minute it crashes!! I made sure that I updated to the newest version. But it just keeps crashing. Also tried restarting my iPad. How can I fix it? 

In Illustrator on the iPad, can I not partially redraw paths drawn freely with the crayon tool, i.e. correct them? That is possible in the desktop version.

    I have illustrator on my ipad and i'm trying to blend two types on a path, but i am not able to blend the type nor put it on a path. It only gives me a notification that "can only make blends with paths and groups of paths". I tried ungrouping them, grouping them, making it a compound path, nothing has worked. I can do the other repeat options, just not the ones i'm trying to do. Any help? I will post a reference to what I'm trying to do, along with what it's showing me. 

It is crashing only when using "paint brush art pencil 1". After 5-10 strokes it crashes. If I use paint brush and calligraphic everything is ok. I have the latest version of illustrator updated, 4th gen ipad and apple pencil 2nd gen. Do anyone know why this happens? 

Writing in Arabic is intermittent in Adobe illustrator on the iPad, how do I fix it?

Hey there, just wondering if anyone else is encountering this issue. When I export a png with a transparent background on my ipad and then import it into another program, lets say illustrator on my desktop or silhouette studio on my desktop, the image is tiny. I have to export it as 4X scale in order for it to be the right size but it turns out super blurry. My canvas size is the same size and in the same units on both the ipad and the program in which I am importing into. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks!

When I use Ipad Illustrator's paintbrush as a drawing tool and I change the thickness to draw something new on the screen, Illustrator changes the thickness for everything that I've drawn so far. How do I prevent this? How can I change the brush size for some new stroke without changing the brush size for everything? Thank you.

When I try to sign into the Illustrator app on my iPad, which I have done before successfully, I am prompted with the Authenticator app to select the correct # out of 3, which I do, then I go back to the Illustrator app and nothing happens. I have tried all my other apps such as Photoshop,  Express, and Lightroom - I could sign in and work just fine. So this is absolutely an app issue.

Hi  Does anyone know if it is possible or how to save a file so I can edit a pattern created in Illustrator on the laptop on the iPad and vice versa? What does the file have to be saved as so I can edit the separate elements. I have tried importing an ai. to the iPad and releasing the clipping mask but that doesn't work. The file saved to the cloud won't edit. So is it even possible? Or only possible to edit elements not created as a pattern yet.The reason I ask is I would like to update old designs by drawing directly on the pattern elements (as part of the pattern repeated tile) on the iPad. Thanks for any help you can give me 🙂

This iPad version looks pretty fantastic for an initial release! I know features get added in, but there is one I really need to do the illustrations I need to do... Can you vary the stroke along a path, so it is thick on one side and thin on the other? There is the "Blob Brush" which makes a similar effect, but it creates an outline of the "path", not an actual editable line. Am I just not finding it, or is this not possible yet?Thanks!John

Hello, Please can you clarify a query regarding Illustrator for iPad RAM requirements. https://helpx.adobe.com/nz/illustrator/system-requirements-ios.html The link above indicates Illustrator for iPad needs 4GB RAM to run. The iPad 6th generation has 2GB RAMI'd have assumed this isn't sufficient from the info at the link above, but the iPad 6th gen is still listed as compatible. The iPad 7th generation has 3GB RAMI'd have assumed this isn't sufficient from the info at the link above, but the iPad 7th gen is still listed as compatible. Is the '4GB RAM' stated at the link above incorrect and in fact Illustrator for iPad just needs 2GB RAM minimum to run? I assume this could be the case if it's compatible with the iPad 6th Generation. I'm considering buying an iPad 8th Generation which has 3GB RAMhttps://www.apple.com/uk/ipad-10.2/ Can Illustrator for iPad run well with just 3GB RAM ?Or does it need 4GB RAM as the text says in the link. (I

Hi there The autosync/refresh feature is not working for me. I'm able to edit a piece of (cloud-based) artwork on either device, but I need to save it and manually reopen it on the other device. I see in Adobe's documentation that this should be automatic.  The file I am wokring with is very small for testing (100k). I notice when I update on the iPad, as asterisk appears next to the file name as if to indicate unsaved changes (so not autosaving). But even if I manually save, it does not refresh the open file on my macbook.  Any insight appreciated! ThanksSteve

Using the pen or pencil tool, I am unable to set the opacity of the stroke/fill.  I can only draw a path with 100% opacity.
