Bonjour, de façon imprévisible certaines options de différentes fenêtres disparaissent tout ou partiellement. Parfois, ils reviennent en relnaçant l'application, mais pas toujours. Puis ils reviennent toujours aussi mystérieusement...Quelqu'un a-t-il expérimenté cela et trouvé une solution ?Merci

Hi everyone,I really like the Alternate Layout functionality of ID CC, but find it tedious when I have to export each layout to a separate pdf. Is there an existing way to do this in a batch, or a script that would do this for me, allowing me to choose a PDF Preset also?Specs:ID CC 2017Win10Thanks in advance for any and all replies!-Andy

Hi,I'm doing an interactive pdf with InDesign,there is a question with one correct answer between multiple answers.when the user click the checkbox of the correct answer it shows the tick mark and can also be unchecked, and if the user click on the wrong answer's checkbox nothing happens.here is an example gif: I couldn't figure out how to do all that.I tried using object state & go to state, but when I open the pdf, all the checkboxes are checked.I tried a different way, when I click on the wrong answer's checkbox nothing happens which is ok but if I then click on another answer, then that wrong one shows the tick even though I've deleted it from [Normal On].   <Title renamed by MOD>

Bonjour, Je travaille sur un document que j'ai composé en livre pour plusieurs raisons :• chaque chapitre est volumineux• chacun des chapitres comporte un nombre énorme de notes (plus de 400…), regroupées en fin de chapitre Je dois réaliser un index global et ne trouve aucun tuto à ce sujet ! Je précise que par défaut, chaque chapitre génère son propre index qui se retrouve à la fin de celui-ci, comme les notes et ce n'est pas ce que je souhaite. Les notes doivent se trouver en fin de chapitre et l'index en fin d'ouvrage.  Béni sera celui qui m'aide ! Merci d'avance. 

Select all footnotes on all pages or Select all footnotes on the current page.It seems like you can only pick one at a time, or use a lookup.

I have a big issue, and it is one that is totally my fault, and I cannot get used to remembering this.I am hoping that someone can help me find a way to make this more prominent so that I don’t keep doing it. Or find a way so I can’t do it. I sometimes use Word documents that I place into InDesign.My issue is that when I am inside my InDesign document, I forget that I have placed a Word document into it, and I start making edits in InDesign to that Word document (inside of InDesign).Then my Word document does not match my InDesign document. Is there a way to make it more prominent or make my placed document stand out more inside of my InDesign document so that I will realize it is a placed document?Or is there a way that I can set up InDesign so that it will not let me make edits to placed documents inside of InDesign?I hope what I am trying to convey is making sense.

It seems like some of the same kind of symbols are categorized as Roman and some as Chinese characters, which is a bit confusing.For example, these below, they are not all Roman characters.aāáǎàeēéěèiīíǐìoōóǒòuūúǔùüǖǘǚǜ

Hi everyone, I’m preparing an InDesign 2025 project for professional printing and want to make sure I’m packaging everything correctly, especially the fonts. I know InDesign has a Package feature, but I’m unsure if it reliably collects all the fonts used in the document, including custom and system fonts. Are there any best practices or extra steps I should take to ensure no font issues occur at the printer’s end? Also, are there certain font types (like OpenType or custom icon fonts) that I should handle differently when packaging? Would appreciate any advice — thanks in advance!

Hello, I have created a book with 100 pages with a TOC and just finished creating an index.As a newby (or forgotten what I knew !) I am having problems.When I click the Generate Index I see the 'Include Book Docs is grayed out.I have done some searches but can't find the answer I need.Any help please? Thank you oz

Es que como pueden ver en las imágenes, se me juntan los textos a pesar de que los tengo en páginas diferentes en el programa, al exportar estan todos los parráfos seguidos, además, no logro hacer que los títulos de capítulo, en este caso los números y el que dice "tu estrella, tu hogar" queden cerca de la mitad de página pero lo que sucede es que quedan al principio de página. No sé muy bien que configuración hay que hacer, arreglos en los estilos o algo, les agradecería su ayuda, he buscado en internet pero no encuentro una respuesta exacta. Muchas gracias.  

I created a file in InDesign using my own Adobe.com account. I need to send this file to my son to open on a version of InDesign at his university. Which format do I save the file in to do this? Thanks!

I have an issue trying to publish online documents from inside InDesign - the upload goes to 99% and then I get an error message (Error #16). It's really frustrating because there is no way to resume the upload and you need to start the whole process all over, including preparing the document for upload, which takes quite a long time. Equally frustrating, the support page for this feature on Adobe's website asks you to copy-paste the information below on a forum post that is not longer available (the support page was updated November 2019, the forum page mentioned there was closed February 2019): {"_links":{"self":{"href":"https://cc-api-cp.adobe.io/api/v2/limits","type":"application/hal+json"}},"small_file_upload_limit":52428800,"rendition_size_limit":2048,"copy_job_subtasks_limit":1000} I couldn't find any reference about what my error code (#16) means. Can anyone please help?

I need some help. I have designed an interactive portfolio that I have already exported several times with the ''publish online'' tool (where I first published the file to create a link and then published it in this existing document/link the times after).  Everything went fine until I tried to export it again yesterday and got an error #16. ''There was an error uploading your document. Please try again. Error #16''I've searched the internet for solutions and tried a few things, such as permissions in the SLStore and Adobe PCD files and opening Indesign as Administrator. Nothing worked! This is crazy since I was able to upload it within the same document/link the days before. Even when I upload it as a new document I get that error code! I am working on a Lenovo Ideapad and using the 2020 version of Indesign. Does anybody know what the problem might be, or better: have a solution?

I have an 80 page 8.5 x 11 document that I want to export as 80 pages that are 17 x 11, with duplicates of each page showing side by side. So the first spread would be page 1 next to page 1, the second spread would be page 2 next to page 2, etc.I have attached a 10 page document as a test file.

Bonjour, j’ai un manuscrit comportant plusieurs équations mathématiques saisies dans Word.J’ai réussi à les importer en «eps incorporé» après avoir sauvegarder le Word en .doc. Mais ce n’est vraiment pas assez «clean» pour l’impression. Voir capture. J’ai essayé l’importation dans Indesign 2020 et 2025.Je pensais qu’avec la nouvelle fenêtre «expression mathématique» je pourrais y arriver.Quelqu’un sait comment récupérer toutes ces équations?  

My mac wont open a document i have been working of for weeks. It shows the progress window seen below for about 30 minutes and then the window goes away and the document never opens. Can anyone help me?  It is a huge file with 300+ pages.     

Can someone help me with the second level numbering on this doc please - page 5 onwards? After 2. Interest and Charges, the next level should be 2.1 not 1.4. I have clearly something set up wrong in the paragraph styles but I am not sure what. Any advice very gratefully appreciated!

Hi everyone, we have a few press adverts using various colour profiles. Our main image has been converted into FOG39L from RGB to start with and Adobe is using the FOG39L workspace (synced). The publication requires 'ISOcoated_v2_300_eci.icc'. I was hoping I can place this profile into the library and in indesign allow the PDF to convert to the new profile above (using 'Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers). For some reason when I pick this profile and make a PDF the Total ink is still above 300 (while checking Output Preview in Acrobat). Should I use 'Convert to Destination' instead? Knowing this will adjust the file? Everywhere I look online, it recommends using 'Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers)'?  Sort of followed this:https://www.onlineprinters.co.uk/magazine/installing-icc-profiles-indesign-photoshop/ Can someone help please??? thanks Lister

The document I'm working in open and the pages show in the palette but not on screen. How do I get the pages to show on screen? Right now, see screen shot, InDesign is showing clear through to another app which is open...

Hi, I had been using Marlide Display Variable font in Indesign with no issues until I updated from Indesign 18.5 to 19.0. Now Marlide Display weights seem to be all jumbled and not consistent. I'm guessing this is a bug in the new Indesign update?

I think I've come across an annoying bug in InDesign, as I'm unable to copy paste, or option/alt drag an interactive button to copy it.Doing the action does do something, as there's a very small bounding box and you can see the item in the layers panel, but there's nothing visible on the artboard/page. If I change the button to a symbol (as opposed to an interactive button) it works...I've trashed the preferences but no luck...any ideas fine Adobe InDesign users? 

With the last update, my gradient panel in InDesign just shows up empty. Even with a gradient swatch selected, the panel never shows any info, and the menu in the upper right only says "hide options" (see screenshot). Anyone else encounter this or have any suggestions?
