Bonjour,Je dessine une forme dans Illustrator, je la copie et je la colle dans indesign mais les vecteurs disparaissent.J'ai une planche complète et cela se produit sur 2 ou3 formes dessinées...Savez-vous pourqoi j'ai ce bug ?Jai regardé dans les paramètres mais je ne trouve pas d'option qui pourrait être modifiée.Merci !

Nach dem Update auf der Creative Cloude von InDesign 2024 (brauche diese Version zum Arbeiten) erscheint mir folgende Fehlermeldung bei Dokumenten, welche vorhin problemlos liefen. Die Meldung kam davor jedoch nie. TIFF-Bilder sind auch nicht platziert.Hat irgendeine Voreinstellung in InDesign mit dem Update geändert, welche das Problem lösen könnte?

I created a math-related book (now published) in InDesign where the cover and back cover are peppered with some relatively-sophisticated, intentionally-faint math graphics (see the attachment). The math graphics were generated via MS-Word (for "Equation") and/or MS-PowerPoint (for lines, circles, etc.) and subsequently JPEG'd for placement into InDesign (MS-Word/PowerPoint > Equation > JPEG > InDesign > File > Place...). The only problem I'm having is that the print quality (from the vendor) of the math graphics is inconsistent; one set of math graphics is clearer than another. Is there a better way to do this? Where else can I generate professional-looking math graphics, as one would see in a calculus textbook, for example, for InDesign incorporation so as to achieve more consistent print quality and clarity?

If I open a file directly from my desktop when InDesign is closed, or open InDesign from my taskbar, the selection arrows do not seem to work. The cursor remains stuck as something like the Free Transform icon. If I select an object, I can move it using the directional arrows, or by typing in the X Y positioning.  But if I use the Creative Cloud app to open InDesign first, then I can either open files from my browser window or File>Open with no trouble.  This only seems to happen on PCs, I've replicated on two Windows 10 PCs, has affected two coworkers as well. MacOS does not seem to have this issue.

I have the InDesign 20 and everytime I try to move a table, it crashes completly. I have no idea what is happening, the document is not that big.Yes, I tried to clean the preferences, Reinstall, I don't have any plugins, it is update in my windows 11, my computer is good enough. I can't see any way to run this app. Can somebody help me? Thank you.

Problem moving objects. Error symbol appears and when I release the mouse the object jumps off the page. I have the same problem when I move layers, pages, etc. I feel like something is "locked". I have restarted, updated software, etc. But the problem persists.

There is a shape from a menu whenever I open Indesign, how do I remove this shape?

Was mache ich falsch: Wähle das Auswahlwerkzeug (V) aus.Klicke auf den Bildrahmen (nicht direkt auf das Bild).Ziehe an den kleinen Punkten (Rahmen-Griffen), um den Rahmen zuzuschneiden.Das Bild bleibt wird nur beschnitten. ... und bei mir verschiebt es sich auch innerhalb des Rahmens 

Mein Problem wurde hier schon mal diskutiert, aber keine Lösung passt zu meinem Thema.Beim Klicken in den Textrahmen verschieben sich diese leicht nach links oder nach oben. Das ist recht nervig, weil man immer nachkorrigieren muss. Ich habe keine App Namens Magnet installiert, was wohl bei einigen schon zu Problem geführt hat. Meine Logitech Maus ist nicht das Problem, ich habe mehrere Mäuse ausprobiert und beim Trackpad tritt dasselbe Problem auf. Die InDesign Version habe ich nagelneu mit gelöschten Voreinstellungen installiert. Ich arbeite auf dem Macbook Pro M3 mit Sequoia 15.3.1 .Insgesamt habe ich den Eindruck, dass die Performance seit dem Auftritt des Problems auch etwas nachgelassen hat. Ist es ein falsch gesetztes Häkchen in den Einstellungen, hat jemand eine Idee?Ich bin dankbar über jeden Tipp

However, when there are characters that are bold or use a bold character style, when merged the bold characters are not retained or preserved. I am attempting to use a custom indexof function (as i know idnesign does not support indexof) to try and match the characters or words when they shift position from their line to a different one. For whatever reason i just can't get this to work. Does anyone have any suggestions i can feed to chatgpt as im inexperienced with code. Please see below code that im using. Question: How do I "constrain" a fillable text box in InDesign to allow only 12 spaced-out numbers to fit inside. I dont want to have to make 12 individual buttons for each number to go in. Is there an easier solution? Answer: In InDesign, no, you cannot adjust kerning or divide the box into columns to fit the box.However, you can export your form into an Interactive PDF and set constraints in Adobe Acrobat Pro.Export your document from InDesign as an Interactive PDF. Open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Use the "Create a Form" function to modify the fillable fields generated from InDesign.In edit more, right-click the box you would like to modify. From here, go to Properties > Options > Left Alignment, Comb of (number of characters you want to fit into box) characters. Now, the box will evenly distribute the number of characters you want into the interactive box - without needing to make individual fields. 🙂

I've got an InDesign file with dozens of pages which I need to export as separate pages through a script. That part works fine but what I would like to do is name the exporting files after the content of a specific textframe on each page. The textframe is the only frame on a separate layer. What is the Custom configuration folder because i want to change this path any script available ?     

Every time I reinstall ID, the shortcuts set for the scripts are lost. If the script is still there and the name hasn't changed, the shortcuts should remain. It wastes a lot of time to reset them every time, and they can't be migrated.  It's a bit unscientific. Is there a solution for this.Thank you.

Bonjour   J'utilise la même version de InDesign (20.1) sur Windows 11 et sur macOS Ventura, et je voudrais importer les paramètres utilisateur de InDesign/Windows dans InDesign/Mac. Mais à chaque fois InDesign pour Mac me dit que ce n'est pas possible : "Plateforme incompatible détectée".   Ai-je raté quelque chose ou bien n'est-ce vraiment pas possible ? J'ai remarqué que le nom du fichier contenant les paramètres n'a pas d'extension et apparaît sur le Mac comme un fichier "exec" sur fond noir, serait-ce la cause ?   Merci

I was in the middle of exporting some files on tuesday and after about five files, indesign crashed trying to export. It has since continued to crash (no error messages, no spinning color wheel), every time I try to export. Yesterday I discovered the same happens when I try to package files.  I'm on a MacOS running Monterey 12.5 (updated early this week) I've tried rebooting, uninstalling & reinstalling indesign, I ran a deep scan on cleanmymac...all to no avail. I have to get on my second computer to be able to export or package anything and it's getting really time consuming as that machine is slower. I have lots of deadlines and need to be able to use indesign without this happening. Are there any fixes for this?

I am trying to export an image from InDesign to a JPG file and it will not export at he correct sizeI have read other forums that told me to export at PPI: 72, tried this and it didn't work.i am exporting as: JPGQuality: MediumFormat method: BaselineResolution PPI: 72colour space: CMYKembed colour profiles and anti-alias are both checked.Please help!

Hello, I am trying to get some posters printed and the printing people are saying that my file is not set up the way that they need, I have exported the file as press quality and added bleed marks in my document 0.125 on all sides I have tried so many ways but it always exports with this white border- when I send it to the printing people they are saying thats not bleed it has a white border, can someone help me out with not having this white border when exporting from indesign to pdf print? ( I thought white border is okay since thats getting cut off, am I wrong)

Hi, I am trying to export an Indesign file inside the Indesign program into a regular pdf. However, everytime I attempt to do this even AFTER restarting my computer and/or the program, and updating the program to its latest update. It still won't let me and it shows me the pop up saying it is because "Version 4 ICC profiles were converted to version 2 ICC profiles during PDF exports." I'm pretty sure all the visual components in this file (such as boxes and tables) are in CMYK (specfically most of them are FOCOLTONE). Can anyone please help me solve this issue? Thank you.

It used to be possible to toggle Typographer Quotes on and off from the keyboard--on the Mac I think it was Shift-Cmd-Option-' .  That no longer works for me. Was it discontinued--intentionally or not? Or do I have a 'local' problem? Thanks.

Hi I don't have much space left on my C drive. Can I set InDesign to go automatically to the external hard drive rather than C drive? I am saving documents created to Creative Cloud instead of to my computer. But I understand InDesign is using my C drive for other purposes such as saving temporary files 

I'll try to keep this question short. I have several older workbooks that I am editing and reformating. They have been OCR scanned to PDF. The entire workbook is in outline form: Roman Numeral; A B C; 1 2 3; a b c; i ii iii; etc... I have created Paragraph styles of each of these hyarchies using numbered lists that I would like to replace the manually entered outline formats from the PDF. Currently, I'mm going line by line and sellecting the appropriate numbered list paragraph style.  It would save HOURS of time if I could find a way to do this automaticaly and all at once if that is not too much to ask.  Thanks ahead of time.
