InDesign

HiI have a text with headings of different width. I also have an object which I have anchored the the end of the heading. I wish to send that anchored objects to the back of the heading so that heading is visible. I have colored heading with yellow background.IDML and PNG File attached.

Whenever I prepare multi-page documents like certificates, I need to convert all text to outlines page by page. How can I do this all at once? InDesign only allows me to select one page at a time.

Just a quick question about PDF articles. Am I missing something obvious here but when I export (interactive PDF) a document with articles from Indesign and then view it in Acrobat the Articles pane is empty? Are those supposed to show up in Acrobat?   I mean these PDF articles: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-articles.html  Many thanks!

Quand j'ouvre des indesign avec lien bibliothèque j'ai un message du type : ": le fichier est deja ouvert par un utilisateur ou utilis& par un autre..." alors que c'est un Indesign fait par moi et non partagé (j'ai juste des liaison bibliothèque)    <Title renamed by moderator>

We are unable to publish any of our documents via the online service on both InDesign 2023 and 2024The problem started yesterday for us and is continuing to today, we have read many of the posts that cover this and attempted some of the soutions posted, such as loging in and out of our adobe accounts etc but the problem continues, we have tried multiple devices, duplicating the files, packaging the files but all continue to fail on export, even publishing a singular blank page fails.We recieve the following error messages, mainly error #14 but sometimes #18 and the ID number varies An error occurred while uploading your document. Hello,I'm preparing a book with many endnotes. Now I've encountered a problem I've never had before: the numbers in the text are in different styles. The first letter is "caps" and the second not. 1. I've tried changing the format of the paragraph, to no avail.2. Manually change them by putting the number in "caps". It looks the same. What has happened? Attached is a sample of "oddities". I'm really lost here.

Hi All,We are inproces of exporting incopy assignments to some of our clients for collaborative workflows.If InDesign file are in XML-IN, then it won't exporting main linked text frames as assignments.It exports only floats like: Figure/Table/Boxes, etc., which are in separate text frames.Tried all possible option but no breakthrough.Any other work-around to resolve this issue.Note: If you are in non-xml then all frames are exported properly.Below image shows InCopy option disabled in XML-IN, when I select frame and right click to check. Below image shows InCopy option enabled in Non-XML, when I select frame and right click to check.Shaji

I am preparing a book (InDesign Book) with multiple chapters (InDesign Documents) using endnotes.  At present the endnotes within each chapter are on a separate page at the end of the chapter.  The Endnote Positioning Options selected are - Scope: Document, Endnote Frame: On a New Page.  I would like the endnote numbering to be a single sequence throughout the book and all the endnotes from the whole book to be moved to a page after the last chapter of the book.  Can this be done?  If so, how?

I ma trying to export with a .125 bleed for a 8.5x11 page but the output is showing incorrect total size together with the bleed. Output  should be a 8.625 x 11.125 inches but after the export output is 8.75 x 11.25.I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I tried a new workspace but the output is still the same it seems to ad a couple of mm on the bleed. Any suggestions or solutions will be a great help.  

Is there a way to open old Pagemaker files in any other program?  I'm using Windows 10 64 bit.  I cannot get PM6.5 to install even in compatability mode as admin.  Indesgn 2 says all my files are corrupt for some reason.  Is there a way to get Pagemaker to install on a 64bit system or something else that will open it?

I have design a one-page interactive PDF - it's a form for people to become members of a cultural association. So they fill out their details, it all looks nice and pretty. I have a button at the bottom that says "submit".  I want people to be able to click this button and for the whole form to be sent as a PDF to an email address. Is this possible within indesign?? Also, how come elements of my design show up in Acrobat but not in Preview for example? (logos, icons, submit button etc).  Thank you in advance. P.S. Please be nice. I've been a member of Adobe cloud since it started but this is my first community post. 

When I set the width and height for my Custom Page Size, then name it (1080 SOCIAL) and then select "Add" so that I can easily choose it again in the future... this happens:My custom name is cut off at the front, both in the list and on the newly made page. My name "1080 SOCIAL" became "80 SOCIAL" forevermore. If I try to modify it, it saves it again minus ANOTHER two first letters/numbers!!! So weird... I tried deleting it, adding a different name, rebooting, everything.Anyone else?

Hi, i have replaced my old Mac with a new one after it failed completely to boot up. I have my original 32-bit CS6 Standard Adobe Suite disc which i installed on my new 32-bit Macbook Pro 2013 computer with 32-bit High Sierra OS on it, but cant activate the CS6 online or off-line, and it says i have 7 days to validate it. Please help as it was working fine on my old computer with same specs, thanks? 

Hello!I’m new to print and have tables and ai graphics that are transparent in my book layout. Is this ok for print and will it show up correctly? I read something about flattening but its not clear to me. 

In case my question was too confusing, I will provide some context.I need to update an art that will be printed and distributed across different departments in the company where I work. This artwork contains the birthdays of several employees, and the original file is an Excel sheet provided by HR. The thing is, we are looking for a way to make the changes each month as quickly and efficiently as possible. Despite already helping, I still need to make the changes (font, colors, size) manually.Is there a way for InDesign to import the sheet with the settings I just mentioned, so I don’t have to manually change everything?Sorry for any grammatical errors. English is not my first language.

Hi, in InDesign I have a numbering list with the Mode "Continue from Previous Number" but when I try to copy paste one figure, it goes at the last number. For example if I copy one figure between 3 and 4 the new figure does not take 4th place, but goes 71 ( last number in the numbering list) what is the issue? Note:1. For the new elements I tried to "Restart Numbering" - but the number goes to 1, and the other elements from the list are not updated. 2. Also when I try and press "Continue Numbering" the number goes again to 71 Looking forward for a solution. Best regards to everyone!

Is there anyway of setting the preferences to open indesign file in overprint preview mode?You access this normlly by going to the View tab then selecting the View then Overprint Preview.Thanks in advanceMike

Hi, there  I’d like to make an object style that aligns center the text without changing the font in the text frame.  There is a way to do Vertical Justification in Object Style, (Object Style - TextFrame General Options - Vertical Justification- Center )and to align center, as far as I know, the only way is to use paragraph style. But if I use paragraph style, it will be centered, but even the font will change. How do I make an object style that only centers the text, without changing the font?  

I created a document about a month ago, a catalog, and placed PNG image files into image boxes for the layout. I opened the file back up today to do some edits and all the sudden InDesign tells me I have broken links. I investigate further to find that the images are located where they are supposed. I tried to "re-place" the png files into the boxes but InDesign doesn't recognize it and won't allow me to place it. For reference, I also tried to open in PS but it doesn't recognize it either, so I'm sure it's a file issue.Has anyone run across this and can you advise?

We're running 15.0.3, and were seeing strange issues where the AdobeFnt22.lst file is updated several times a minute for each open InDesign file.. enough that onedrive is effectively permanently updating. This did not appear to be an issue on Dropbox, and I can't reproduce the issue when the InDesign file is stored on a local, un-synced folder. What's particularly strange is that the file is being updated even when there is no activity in InDesign? My research says this file is updated when the font list is rescanned... but if the fonts aren't changing, and the InDesign file isn't changing.. What's triggering the rescan? Is there a way to disable it? Even temporarily so we can prove it's not the cause of the performance issue we're having? Thanks

I made an infographic in Indesign for our university magazine with a QR code to link to an interactive pdf. Nothing too complicated animation wise, simply buttons that you can click on to view different parts of the graphic. Hello!I hope someone has an idea, because I'm at my wits end. Yesterday I did an update of the CC client, which was retrospectively stupid, because it messed up one particular font I very much use, Roboto.The font isn't installed in the system, but put into ID's \Fonts folder. Until two days ago all was fine. After the update, which unfortunately activated Adobe Fonts by default, the Roboto font was shown as missing when I open ID. In the font list in ID's menu the symbol next to Roboto had changed from "TT" to a cloud symbol. Looking into the cloud client and the font management from Adone Fonts being still active, I saw that it conflicts with a Roboto font from Adobe. Same name, but not same font and more styles. So I removed Roboto from the manager, deactivated Adobe Fonts, deleted the Roboto font files from \Fonts, restarted ID and put them back again. After that it was OK for the moment and the symbol next to Roboto changed back to "TT". Today, the problem was back
