Ma question concerne les notes en bas de page.Pour une publication périodique qui comporte de nombreux articles avec de très nombreuses notes.La structure des articles est toujours la même : chacun contient un long titre, un ou plusieurs auteur(s), un résumé dans deux ou trois langues et puis l'article proprement dit (le body text).L'ensemble se trouve dans un bloc en deux colonnes, mais les titres, auteurs et résumés occupent deux colonnes (option étendue de colonnes).Or souvent, à côté de l'auteur se trouve un appel de note avec une note de bas de page qui donne des informations sur l'auteur.Il se trouve qu'au lieu d'apparaître en bas de la colonne avec toutes les autres notes de la première colonne de body text, cette note apparaît sous le résumé en anglais, c'est-à-dire sous le dernier paragraphe qui utilise l'option "étendue de colonnes".Comment faire pour que cette note soit en bas de la colonne avec les autres ?J'utilise des notes de bas de page sur les deux colonnes de mon

Hello sirI am using indesign cs6. I want to know to check table width and height in indesign like coreldraw. Coreldraw provide a fecility to know table width and height in inch. But i am not know how to check table width and height in indesign.

 InDesign 2021 (and 2020), MacOS Catalina.A text with footnotes where the footnote numbering have somehow become corrupted. If I delete any part of the text that contains a footnote number (or a text box with one or a page containing a text box with one, or any part of the text, boxes or pages containing the footnotes themselves) InDesign crashes. I tried updating from InDesign 2021 ver. 16.1 to 16.2.1.I tried saving it as an IDML file and opening it both in InDesign 2020 and 2021.It crashes every time. I can change the text, make it invisible for instance by making it white, or make it any size I want, move it off the pasteboard and so on and so on. But I cannot delete it. Or I can delete it, but then InDesign crashes and when I open the file again, text is still there. (I can delete other text boxes or text or anything else anywhere else in the document fine.) For two other similar reports I can find on here, the save as IDML has been the solution. But in my case

I just updated to InDesign 2021 and all of my menu dropdown shortcuts are grayed out (see the screenshot of the View tab below). This is preventing me from using any keyboard shortcuts.  Any suggestions? Help? I made sure I was logged into Creative Cloud and it is up and running fine. 

Hi,I am working on a catalogue and copy paste drawings from a previous edition I wasn't in charge of.When I export the PDF, I have this message "this font could not be embedded because it is missing".The font I was trying to use is Courrier. I solved it by installing the font family. Great news!Or so I thought because now, on the exported pdf, I have this message: Should I just at the end of my work, find/replace all the "courrier font" or can I solve it now?Thanks.

Hi, I have some troubles with the [none] Object Style in InDesign.When importing an image / pdf inside a picture frame, even if the picture frame has the style [none] and so wouldn't have any fitting options pushed, the image is centered inside the frame.So after importing the image / pdf and when manually placed correctly (not centered), the style is getting a "+" after the name -> [none]+.When using ALT+Click on the style when frame is selected, it reset the placement of the image / pdf to "center" inside the frame, and that's something problematic when using scripts to place adverts on a layout, because bleed adverts are not placed centered, especially when you have adverts smaller than 1/1 page because 1 of the side will have the bleed hided. If centering again after that, the placement will be wrong. Any idea if and where to change this?I already looked everywhere in the prefs, but couldn't find anything to adapt the [none] style. Hi. Refering to my last post I have a following question.I checked an InDesign document with the script. The check results were saved as a PDF. Is it possible to open this PDF document with Javascript in Acrobat (with a command at the end of the same script)? Regards

Hi Is there a way to a launch a script to automatic change all the paragraph styles in a file from one font family to another. I'd like to: open a indesign file, open scripts, click a script, choose a font family i want to change to (or have one assigned), then done? I dont want to change the font (i.e. bold, regualr, semi, etc), i only want the family to change. I can do this manually style by style but its a long process. I found this is the default change when i try to use the find and replace formatting option in indesign. For example i have english files in one font (Inter) and we have translations made for me but they require to to be in (Noto Sans SC) for Chinese. Thanks

Its working perfectly, except I need to set the "through cut" spot colour to overprint, and no matter what we (myself & Chat GPT) try, it just will not do it. Hi, I am working on my first book layout. Based on some research, I need to set up hyphenation and justification so that my body text feels balanced.Is there a recommended starting point for setting up justification or a standard that works well ?When applying justification, should I do it across my entire body text or create a new style and apply it only to areas that need improvement?Are there any suggested settings for hyphenation that are standard?4. Hey All! I have a large document I am flowing into Indesign from Word. There are no paragrpah breaks. My question is, is there a way in Word or Indesign to automatically add in paragraphs through out the wording/document?

Hi All, hope you can helpWe have recently signed up to Creative Cloud and are now working on a large graphic project with a new catalog. When we try and export the indesign file to pdf we run into two problems. First problem is that we are not able to choose certain pages, where we normally write the pages wanted we get this value already set 'A4 L' and we cannot change this value to the pages we want.Another problem is the following warning:'The preset specifies source profiles that do not match the current color settings file. The profiles defined by the color settings file are used instead.' any idea how we can solve the above, thank you so much in advance

Hi!I am searching for a way to use pdfs in indesign and to rasterize them there. Now I am opening them before in photoshop to rasterize them. I only need the pdf-image rasterized not the whole page or the hole file, is there any way to do that faster in indesign only without a second program?

Whenever I open an InDesign document the view seems to be different. Sometimes it's 100% but the page is off centre, sometimes it fills the entire screen, but it's NEVER as I want it to be! I'd like my documents to open with the page at 100% and centered. I seem to remember that years and years ago InDesign would remember your last view or at least open a document with my prefered view but since a few years already I am getting odd random views. See the attached screenshots for two examples: the A4 is shown at 100% but off center, the A5 is shown in the center but filling the window at 141%... It's different every time! (BTW I saved both documents with a centered view of 100%.)  I was hoping the recent ID version would solve this problem but it didn't. There HAS to be a way to make a specific view default... right...?!

I'm creating different icons to work across different files in indesign, what is the best format to trnsfer these into indesign from illustrator? Also after importing how do I get the icons to all remain the same size across different files? 

Hi.I have successfully completed a script for InDesign. Now I just want to output a final message with the (dynamic) file name. Some of these files contain German umlauts (Ä, Ü, Ö). These and the spaces (not %20) should be displayed correctly in the warning message. How can I achieve this?  Regards

Hola, tengo un grave problema con indesing y el PDF interactivo. Sucede que estoy trabajando con botones y estados de objeto, se supone que al hacer clic en cada boton debe "ir al estado siguiente" , cuando hago la previsualización EPUB todo bien, pero cuando lo exporte a pdf interactivo no FUNCIONA NINGUN BOTÓN, estoy desesperada.
