InDesign

I often work with multiple page documents in which all pages have been given " Lock All On Spread." For years, I've used a script that would instantly Unlock All on Spread for the entire document. Is InD 2025 incompatible with this script? If not, does anyone know where I can find it again? (I'm using OS 14.6.1)     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi I resently saw, that the new version of InDesign should allow Cloud Documents like Illustrator and Photoshop but I cant use it. If I click "save as" it shows my folders like it always did but doesnt have the feature like the other programs to press "save in the cloud"  could you help me wtih this ?  I just checked I have the newest version installed.    <Title renamed by MOD>  

Hello!   I am currently working on a publication and they have their logo in the lower corners throughout the entire publication. The client expressed concerns that it was too fuzzy and so I rebuilt the a vector.    When linking the new vector to the Parent spread, and applying it to the repective pages, nothing seems to take. The other logo remains. The old logo on the interior spreads is within a gray box that cannot be moved or accessed, which confuses me because I cannot locate any other locked elements in my layers panel and the unlock feature in the objects panel is not available to me (assuming because I can't even select it).    The biggest source of my confusion is this: All the links that I can see and are listed in the panel have been changed to the new vector (PNG), applied to other pages and still remains unchanged. Trying to make some quick edits here. I.E. Basic highlight a number and then press a new number to replace EXCEPT when I do this it doesn't "take" unless I press the key again. Only happens on single digit/numeral replacements, doesn't matter how much I highlight. Am I missing a safety preference or something?I just updated to the latest beta release - maybe that's the culprit? Any guidance is appreciated.

Greetings InDesigners,I am producing a document for my club which started out as a document to be printed I used CMYK colorspace.Now they want to post it online and email in PDF format. How do I take an existing CMYK colorspace document and convert it to RGB?I am new to Indesign and have been told by others that it can't be done. Hey I have a problem when exporting PDF's from InDesign.  Sometimes with certain glyphs, the exported PDF drops the last letter.  Any idea why this happens? Sorry for the language, but I don't think it matter   Thank you!     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hello, I've seen a couple of similar posts, but can't find anything specific on this.  When I load in Design, it looks like it is about to start up normally, then diverts to this darker grey screen. No response with any element of the interface: It's still using CPU/memory, so something is happening.I have tried deleting cache settings, full purge and re-install. Installing older versions. Installing on other SSD. I have tried v19.0 and v20.0.v19.0 nearly loads... I get slightly further before it all freezes. Checked firewall Low on ideas now, save for wiping my PC and I would rather not do that 

Hello all, see above image. I've made a view tables with one table style. They all come out perfect except for this one. The line on the right side is not showing. You can see by the middle line (which is slightly shorter) that the program knows there should be something. I've tried everything but cannot fix it? 5 InDesign files (all different saved versions of the same original file) that I have been working on since August of this year have all disappeared and are not visible anywhere in my file structure. I had the latest one open and was working on it as recently as last Monday, and now all versions of that file are gone without a trace. Has this happened to anyone? Hello,    My Indesign won't open up at all. It won't go past the opening dialogue. It goes to 'Completing Initialisation' and then the wheel of doom starts spinning. I've tried deleting it and reinstalling and I've tried the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool but nothing seems to help! Hello Adobe Gurus! I need some help. I work in a student newspaper setting and recently two computers (or maybe accounts?) started doing this weird thing where pages designed on one computer by one designer look fine on that computer and most the others in the office, but whenever I try to open them on my computer, or when I am signed in on another machine, they are missing all the content such as images and text. (we use saved graphic textboxes that have filler text, and the filler text remains in them) It seems to be a problem between our adobe accounts because it's just between us. This designer often can't open my pages either.The attached images are what his page looks like completed, and how it looks when I try to open it.We have deleted both of our preference files on both computers and that has not worked. The problem seems to slowly be spreading to other user accounts as well because other people are sometimes not able to open his pages either, could it be something about how

Hello!I installed the variable font "Roboto Flex" from Googlefonts. Unfortunately the parameters to adjust the Font are not working in InDesign. However the Font is working perfectly in Illustrator. I appreciate any ideas on what could be causing this. Kind Regads    <Title renamed by MOD>

I have a brochure set to a .125 px bleed.I have my backgrounds expanded past the bleed area.I export to press quality.I choose use doc bleed settings and trim marks.When exported and opened back up in Adobe Pro, NO BLEED BACKGROUNDS ARE SHOWING!!!Images attached: Thanks in advance for any help. How do I stop indesign spinning out every 5 seconds, I literally cannot use anything in it anymore.... even with a new document, no links, nothing....

I am currently trying to convert a 58 page PDF into a fully editable InDesign document and found this article from 10/17/24 showing that the InDesign (Beta) version can do just that. However, after installing and opening the beta version I am met with a window that states "Your InDesign (Beta) build has expired." and the app closes... anyone have any insights on this? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

I am working on a project that my company puts out twice a year. The last time I used InDesign was maybe 3 months ago. In that time, all of my existing settings seem to have disappeared, along with my bottom scroll bar (and the presaved color swatches and the arrangement of how all the different panels are on the screen -- that's less of an issue and not something I'm worried about). It's as if the entire app window is too long to view on my screen. All of my panels have also been rearranged into different areas as well, completely different from the way I've had it set up for the last 3.5 years.The only way I can scroll downward is my pinching my touch screen (to resize the workspace) and using the hand tool (I'm using an HP Surface Pro laptop). It lags horribly as I do this and it doesn't jump from page to page this way either. Things I've tried:- Maximize and minimize the app in window- I've tried switching the viewing option in the upper right hand corner. - I've moved my

hello, I have a book with several documents, on each page of the documents there is a title describing a drawing, the drawing is valid for several contexts. I want to create an index listing the drawings of each context, with the corresponding page number. So a drawing will appear several times in the index. How do I set up the index?

So I made multiple indesign document for school use. But a year passed and I had to buy the licentie again. When I downloaded Indesign again all my InDesign files where gone. No sign of them anywhere.  And I don't have my files saved on my laptop because I had issues and the laptop had to be repaired in the meantime. I do have all my Illustrator files on my creative cloud and in Illustrator app. Just not the InDesign files. How do I get them back or how did this happen?

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a book project in Adobe InDesign that consists of 250 pages. I have two separate INDD files: one containing all the text and the other containing all the images. My goal is to combine these two files so that each page has the corresponding text overlaid on the images, but I’m finding it quite tedious to do this manually page by page. Is there a way to automate this process? I’m considering using scripts but I’m not very experienced in that area. Any guidance on how to efficiently merge the text and images, or any scripts that could help with this task, would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your assistance!
