Bonjour, J'ai un souci avec mes fenêtres dans IndesignJe les ai placées sur 2 colonnes à droite de mon écranLa première à gauche est réduite avec juste les icônes visibles la seconde à droite est totalement développée.Le souci est que quand je clique sur une icône de la colonne réduite l'affichage de la fenêtre est totalement décalé sur la droite est du coup je ne peux pas voir la fenêtre dans sont intégralité.Et je ne peux pas décaler la fenêtre. Voici quelques captures.Le bord droit de mes images correspond au bord de mon écran. 

Exported PDF with links are not working... when I use GO TO DESTINATION from the link in ID it works fine. But the exported PDF changes the link. It is for Amazon Vendor Central and the PDF send me the the login URL, but the GO TO from in ID send me to the page I need to go to.     <Title renamed by MOD>    

I have a TOC that does not exclude a hidden spread. When exporting, the page numbers adjust automatically (as expoected), but prior to export, when updating the TOC, the hidden spread/pages are still showing in the TOC and the pages are not renumberd as the export will produce...?   Seems to be a bug, or am I missing something?   <Title renamed by MOD>

From time to time, I use the Picker (letter I) tool to "quickly" transfer text formatting attributes such as font size and color from one group of characters to another. BUT every time I do so,  once I'm done and want to get back to the regular Text tool, to continue editing, it's a riot.Perhaps I'm missing something very obvious?Currently, once I'm done with picking and applying text attributes and want to get back to the Text tool, I first hit the Escape key which, not only gets me out of the tool and returns me to the Selection tool (Black arrow) but it also selects the text frame which isn't bad in itself. The problem is that, at this point, I have to either select the Text tool in the toolbar with the mouse or double-click the text frame wherever I want to pursue editing which is "doable", and THEN I'm back where I was, ready to continue editing text. But it is a lot of work everytime. So much so that it almost defeats the purpose of using the tool in the first place.Please t

It looks like someone got access to my manuscript, and used Auto Style without permission. Also I notice a few missing pages. Is this intentional misuse of access privileges, or merely a programming error?   The circle and line have been moved without permission on several pages.     <Title renamed by MOD>

When I generate a QR code using the link https://express.adobe.com/tools/qr-code-generatordoes that QR code work forever as long as the link still works? I am planning on using this on printed books and need to make sure the code will always work. 

I was so happy to discover the mail merge feature. I was successful in creating ID badges with staff names and photos. When recreating the design I started once again with a fresh import of same data file and then merged into multiple page document. The preview looks great, however, the end result shows a duplicate image on almost every page, followed by another image duplicated. The data source is about the 12th line of data. No idea what to do differently. I've relinked data fields and changed margins with no success.  Can't understand why the preview is perfect but the merged document is different. Please help!

I can't get Indesign on my laptop and I have no idea why. When I go to download it it says my computer is compatible with the system as well as I have all the reqirments. But when I hit install it won't let me. I have a surface pro 9 and have used Indesign (Beta) on it before. However, just today for some reason it won't let me use either versions. I have even tried to re-download the older version of Indesign (Beta) and it still won't work. I talked to Adboe tech support and he said my Ram isn't high enough. My computer has a 16 ram so this does not make sense.      <Title renamed by MOD>

I am writing a script that is intended to assign an objectStyle to images, which have been placed from Word files and are anchored within table cells. I want to first 'extract' the images from the cells by releasing the anchor.   This stand by doesn't seem to have any effect in this case: Solved: How break with script to anchored object release - Adobe Community - 6650519—unless I manually change the anchor properties to custom (versus Inline or Above Line), the reference script will work. I haven't been able to change this property via script, as in, for example:             settings.anchoredPosition = AnchorPosition.ANCHORED;            settings.anchorXoffset = 0;            settings.anchorYoffset = 0;Any suggestions on how to appropriately access this property, or alternative approaches, please?

I'm doing a data merge for a large catalog, and I'm placing images with the "special" image column (i.e., @9285143, @11075758, ...) - all works well.However the text for each page is actually in a text file, and contains line breaks, tabs, etc. Is there an equivalent to the special image tag - or a scripted solution - to automatically place text from a text file as specified in each row of the data file?My data file is something like this:productName@productImagedescriptionApples/path/to/image/apples.tif/path/to/textfile/description/apples.txtOranges/path/to/image/orange.tif/path/to/textfile/description/orange.txt

Hi everyone,is it possible to right align the text in an Indesign interactive form? I only see options for the font size, not even font family, are there more settings to it, most importantly alignment?Thank you!

I have a 55-page InDesign document with sidebar icons that act as navigable buttons. When clicked in PDF, the buttons redirect the viewer to specific sections within the document ("home" button returns to first page, "about" button goes to about pages, etc.), all referencing bookmarked sections. There are many similar icons within the document that act as jump-to buttons.Problem is, each time I save the document (or export to interactive PDF and return to the original INDD document), the buttons reset themselves to the top-most bookmark in the list, the "about" page. I am then forced to reprogram every single button (there are 25) when I send another version to the client. I have yet to find a workaround or solution to this problem.Can anyone here help? Is this an InDesign bug? I am using the most current version of InDesign, version 2022.

Hi Adobe Community, I created a PDF file in Indesign for mobile devices with hyperlinks. The hyperlinks linking to websites work fine only on Android smartphones the "go to page" links don't work. On iPhones all links work nicely. Can you help? Regards

Hey all.  So, i've got a project where i'm creating a kind of mystical grimoire in ePub format that's meant to create a graphic novel feel with multimedia as part of Into the Mythica project (https://intothemythica.com)I'm just learning the in's and out's of inDesign and have for many years just sort of been approaching it in a kind of painterly way, but am starting to ground out into the formats.So.  I have a number of graphic novel sketches that i've made over time in various shapes & sizes, and i'm wanting to clarify if i'm on the right path with creating functional epubs.  Whereas the idea of them being flowable is nice, it seems to throw off the absolute positioning of the graphics so i've been heading in a more fixed position though i'm open to advice.I'm curious, are there any recommended sizes for the document that I should set as a standard for an ePub across my publishing? I'm using a particular image for a background that sets the visual tone for the conte

i have a csv file with about 30 lines each line has the name in one column, address in another column, boat name in another column I have an indesign label with 10 labels on a page. I want to use date merge to have each name, adrees, city, state, zip, boat name on each label for example: first 10 names, address, boat name on 1st page everytime on try to do it puts the same name on the 1st page puts 2nd name on 2 page and so on.. please help.....     <Title renamed by MOD>

I feel as if I'm missing something simple here, but — is there any way to have a paragraph, in a continuing flow, sit at the outside margin whether it falls on a left or right page? Without assigning different styles, using text boxes, or the like? A limited form of this can be done with the toward/away from spine justification setting, but it affects only justification and not overall paragraph position. I keep thinking of that, and float left/right in web code, but... it seems like there's a way to have a formatted paragraph hug the outer margin, automatically, and retain justification, spacing, rules/border, etc.   Am I missing something?

I watched an InDesignSecrets video on YouTube called "Zero-width space" : InDesign How-To: Use a Zero Width Space (Video Tutorial) I admit I was impressed by what the use of this character can do in terms of typography. I looked around for more information. I quickly landed on Wifipedia which was helpful. But then I landed on the "Unicode Standard"? Which I didn't know existed. I confess my ignorance in typgraphy. I have yet to experiment with a Zero-width space in an InDesign document -- I will. Since the use of this "character" is suported (see above video) makes me wonder : A) Will it have some kind of representation with Show Invisible Characcters?B) And it makes me wonder what are the other kinds of space characters that are out there?C) Whether they're all supported in InDesign?Hence the subject of my broader inquiry, how "complete" is InDesign support for Unicode? We have an 830-page InDesign file with images and hyperlinks (both internal and external) on every page. It is 360mb in size. It’s an e-guidebook which our little company has been building and selling for 12 years, updating it annually.   Our plan is to divide it into several ebooks of roughly equal size, but InDesign, I don't think, has any tools to automatically split files into smaller files with a few clicks. Apparently this can be achieved by running various scripts.   Perhaps I’m missing something, but would it not be just as easy, and maybe safer, to copy the original file sereral times, then in each one delete the unneeded parts? Of course, many of the internal links will no longer work, but that's an easy fix because each of the parts mosty functions autonomously. Thanks for your time.   <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi there brains trust. I need to data merge from an excel field which contains a paragraph, ie text with line breaks, into an inDesign text field. There are three lines in the excel cell but when I merge the dataq I can only see the first line. I have nearly 8,000 rows of data hence a manual fix is out of the question. Is there an option within InDesign that will make all the lines of the excell cell come into the text field as three lines? When I set a the language for my body text to Canadian English, I often end up with incorrect hyphenation. In the most recent example, "knickknacks" was hyphenated as "knickk-nacks". There have been other such instances, too. Why is this, and can it be corrected? When I switch to USA English, the hyphen is correct, but then of course the spell check will use the US dictionary.

Several weeks ago, my top ribbon changed.  all the things on the left are no on the right and the things on the right are now on the left and some things just plain aren't there anymore.  I have been working with it, figured I would get used to it, but it is slowing me down so much to have to LOOK for things that were there, (heck 1/2 of them I don't even know where to look, they were always on the ribbon).    Anyway, does anyone know if this part of an update or if there is a way to customize this so I can rearrange the items?
