When launching LR I get a win32 API error 126 and after loading I can't see the library module.I have installed adobe premiere elements 14 and have tried to delete it with no luck.I have also tries to reinstall LR without any effect. Some forums suggests that it has to do with an ATI graphics card but I have NVIDIA and I have checked that I have the latest driver as well.Any suggestions would be appreciated
I opened up Lightroom and when I go to develop it says "The file could not be found." However, there is no [!] indicating that the file is missing and needs to be relinked. I have not changed the name of the photos, the location of the photos, or the name of the drive the photos are on. I know the direct path to all of the photos, but it does not show me the option to relink. Any help would be appreciated.
I have been working in Lightroom for about 8 years, and for the past 2 years as a professional photographer. I’m a supporter of minimalism and customizing everything to fit my own workflow – without limitations. Many things in Lightroom are possible, but many are simply cumbersome. I finally decided to write this post because I’m seriously considering whether to look for an alternative. If you agree or disagree with me, please leave a comment or advice on how I can deal with these issues. Here’s a list of problems that annoy me or I don’t know how to solve:Table of ContentsEditing photo order – random lock-upsExport via CPU – file order chaosPerformance – no real improvement in yearsLabel colors – 6 is not enoughInterface – wasted workspaceStar ratings – unclear and poorly placedZooming photos – too many clicksSliders – narrow, inconvenient, redundant titlesSettings synchronization – only in DevelopAI Denoise and cropping sync – bugsNo smooth scrollingPreviews – not rendering properlyNo “
I tried to create standard previews for all photos. With 74,000 photos, this takes half a day. At the end, a window appeared with the message: "Some standard previews were not created. Photos not found (126). Photos could not be created (43).“ And now to my question. In the bottom line, I have the choice between ”Save as...“, ”Show in library“ and ‘OK’. If I choose ”Save as", will only 126+43 be saved, or 74,000-(126+43)?If I select “Show in library,” will only 126+43 be displayed, or 74000-(126+43)? Can I still go to “Save as...” after selecting “Show in library”?What happens if I go directly to “OK”?
Is this true? AI search result: Yes, Lightroom Classic can share photos for comments and feedback with users on Android, PC, and Chrome, even if they don't have an Adobe ID. Lightroom Classic allows you to create shared albums that can be accessed via a public or invite-only link. Those with the link can view, comment, and like photos within the album. Here's how it works:1. Sync your collection:You need to sync the collection containing the photos you want to share with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom mobile. 2. Share the album:In Lightroom Classic, you can share the synced collection. This will generate a public URL (or an invite-only link) that you can share with others. 3. Access via web:Recipients can open the shared link in their web browser on any device (Android, PC, Chrome). 4. Commenting and feedback:If the "Allow comments and likes" setting is enabled, viewers can add comments and likes to the photos within the shared album. &n
I am running the latest version of LR Classic and the latest SmugMug Plug-in (v3.5.9.1). I have a published gallery on SmugMug that is causing LR Classic to lock up anytime I try to upload an image to it. I have gone so far as to completely delete the gallery from SmugMug and to re-create it, adding back all of the images that were originally in it. When I do this, I am able to update the gallery with all the original images and everything works fine. However, when I go to either add a new image to that gallery or re-publish an existing image, LR completely locks up. I have attempted to enable Logging under the Debugging section of the Lightroom Plug-in Manager but I can't get it to work for some reason--I have checked <Enable Logging> but when I select the option <Open in Notepad>, nothing happens. I'm at a loss as to why this one gallery is causing this. I have no problems publishing to any other gallery. {Moved from L
A few days ago in LRC 14.4 denoise started to run slow taking 3 minutes per CR3 file. The chat agents tried to blame me and my PC...telling me to change this and that, but I have been here before numerous times. Time wasting and swapping chat agents to deflect from the problem often being asked to repeat myself over and over with no real solution given. I rolled back to version 14.3 and denoise for one cr3 file was 10-15 secs so I asked when 14.4 would be fixed...the answer was 1 month. The agent admitted during this chat that knew of faults with cr3 files and 14.4. but they decided to keep quiet. I have spent 100's of hours trying to learn new skills and I can not think of a period of a month or more when Adobe has run correctly, also are they releasing updates without fully checking these updates WAITING TO SEE WHAT COMPLAINTS COME BACK AT THEM ? <Mod: Insults removed> I doubt anyone at Adobe will give a flying feck about this post but im at the end of

I've been using Lightroom for many years.I'm on Windows 10.0.26100.4770 and LR Classic 14.4 build 202506051112-5918896a with Camera Raw 17.4.I often import images using Photomechanic to my PC and then use "Synchronize Folder" to import them to my catalog (one big catalog for all my images).Recently I've noticed that the "Remove missing photos from catalog" option shows some are missing. When I hit "Show Missing Photos" a moment ago I see nine images apparently "missing" from the catalog. However if I right click those images and tell it to "Show in Explorer" the image is brough up just fine and I can view it in Explorer. Indeed I can view it with Photo Viewer in Explorer or open it in Photoshop. No mention of metadata issues, no "warning exclamation marks" on the images in view.It is as if the images have been flagged as missing even though they are not.As an experiment I removed one of them from the catalog ("remove photo") and then did a synchronise folder again. It told me there were
I recently organized my keywords to make things easier to find. However, I now have a situation where dozens of keywords still exist on files, but they do not show up in the Keyword List. If you see the image below, I have multiple keywords on a photo, but none of them show up in the list.In addition, I can delete one of the keywords from the text box ("Aviation" for example), and then try and type it back in. As I type "Avi", "Aviation" will display for me to choose. That tells me the keyword is in there somewhere, but it still is not showing up in the Keyword List. I also have multiple smart collections based on keywords, and they still work. I deleted the helper.lrdata file multiple times, and I tried resetting all my preferences. I also tried exporting as a catalog. That didn't work either. Still missing most of my keywords. How can I get my keywords to show up in the list?
Need some help! I use Lightroom Classic and Photoshop (windows pc versions) for almost all of my CR2 processing and then save my photos as Jpegs. After they are saved as jpegs in a different folder on my pc, I open Lightroom and open the jpeg there. Then I open Lightroom mobile and everything links up through the cloud so I can save and post my photos to my social media from my phone. After the most recent update, all of my CR2 files from my library are now missing and the only ones that remain in the library are the jpeg versions that I saved with watermarks. To be clear, after I would process a photo in Lightroom Classic and save the photos as jpegs, I would then show a jpeg file along with the processed verison of the CR2 file in my library. This was awesome because it was a non-destructive workflow and I could go back and re-process the CR2 photo, add or subtract parts of the edit or even modify the crop of the photo for printing and then re-save it as a new jpeg, but sti
Hello,I am using lightroom classic for a while and I have issue with GPU. My GPU was Asus Radeon 6600X 8GB. I always had to keep the GPU off in Lightroom otherwise it was going crazy like crash or work very slowly. CPU was doing the job until the latest update for Lightroom which change the Denoise completely. (Ver14.4) After the update each photo took around 12 minutes to denoise, so I had to buy another GPU which is Asus Prime Geforce 5070 12GB After upgrade the GPU, denoising is very quick like 3sec for each photo but Exporting photos is very slow. I tried all the GPU troubleshooting like delete the config file , reinstall Lightroom Classic completely, update windows and drivers,... but it didn't help. When I turn off the GPU export is using CPU and it's a bit faster but still slow. Also when I check the performance during the export it shows 2-3% GPU usage and 30-40% CPU For example export 10 JPG each 20-30MB will take around 1.5 minute

The option to maximize compatiblity for HDR photos (jxl and avif as far as I have tried) keeps turning on on its own, even when the option is unchecked. I sometimes have to check and uncheck it for the photos that are exported to not have this option (I checked the output files multiple times). I don't exactly know when it's unchecked and when it's checked just from the menu, and it's hard to tell when it switches.

Lightrrom Classic failed to export due to "watermarking failed". This happened over this weekend, and it had been working fine. My Lightroom is up to date, and I have found the preset in the preference. I have tried to export with watermark on my other computer and it works. I would like to know happened and how to fix it. I have two iMacs, one has this problem, the other works fine. The two iMacs are independent to each other. Thanks for the help. {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
When I go from Lightroom to Photoshop, I check the save Lightroom additions and they appear in Photoshop with the Lightroom adjustment, as they should. When I return to lightroom all is well, BUT, when I go to Photoshop the second time from Lightroom and also back-checking the save Lightroom adjustments are missing. Why is this?
I under stand that this was in Mac Adobe program , as it is in PC adobe program now.If you go to Print and click on template ( 2 ) 7 X 5 Centered you can nolonger add the image number. I would love for that feature to be brought back to the program . I am wanting to do small prints first with ID information then cut the images apart and pin them to a wall.I spoke to one tec. and after a looonng conversation and me sending two pic from my book & phone . I realixed that the feature was no longe part of the program for MAC's. The book :The adobe photoshop Lightroom Classic CC Book [ 20190 ], shows and tells how and what to do . On the cover there is a pic. of a model looking over her shoulder at the camera. The 7x5 print size prints is a nice size to begain editing with, to start a shows progression . So I can pick the show prints { pictures / Images }. PLEASE ADD IT TO THE MAC ADOBE update. . Rick
When I open the Remove Tool and select a pre-existing brush point it will re-initialize "Removing Area Using AI" and it will attempt to generate new content before I inevitably have to move my cursor to cancel it. Sometimes clicking a brush point will trigger this behavior other times it won't. It's not consistent and impossible to figure out when it will or won't happen. Simply clicking the brush points should not trigger generating new content. Sometimes, I'm just selecting the brush point to then edit the mask by adding or subtracting from it. Triggering regeneration of the content means I'm having to waste clicks canceling it every time I'm attempting to edit the mask. It's really, really annoying!!!!!!
I am having such a hard time seeing anything with the dark grey side panels. I'm on a PC and have gone to Edit>Preferences and changed the Background color on the Main and Secondary windows to light grey, however the Folders Panel, etc. is still dark grey and I'm having a hard time using the panels when they are so dark.I would appreciate any help.Thank you.Irene
to switch from Mac mini 2018 (Intel) to Mac mini 2025 M4 do I need to reinstall LrC and PS? or I can install the system from a Time Machine backup filethanks for the answers
Lightroom says not enough space for lightroom backup even though there is space.I have even cleared out my mackbook by putting photos on an external drive and have also deletedCaches, lunch agents, launch deamons, scripting additions, startup items and ran disk first aid, restarted computer and LR etc.LR says my next backup is 6.98 GB and i have 190GB free. What could be the ptoblem ?This has only happened since updating to Sequoia 15.6 so could that be the problem or is it coincidence?
Desktop PC. I9-12900, 64GB memory, GPU is an Nvidia 4060TI. All the storage is on M.2 NVMe with images on an 8 TB SSD. Images are nothing special – I see the same behavior whether it’s a 20 megapixel image or a 50 megapixel one. I looked through several of the topics in here (some from older versions, some from LRC13) from other people having performance issues with Lightroom 13.X. Hopefully, I’ve missed something simple, but I didn’t see much to resolve the problems. I have to add myself to the people having problems with slow, laggy, hanging operations in Lightroom 13. I upgraded from the AMD GPU that worked OK with LRC 12 to the 4060 TI was because once I started using LRC 13, performance deteriorated. I thought throwing a more capable GPU at the problem would cure it. Didn’t work. It’s not a problem as near as I can tell when doing normal, “adjust sliders in Develop” or “select a keyword” sort of adjustments.&nbs
Mac Book Pro M1 internal 1T SSDI (free space 250 GB) 16 GB RAM Sequoia 15.5. LRC Version 14.4 Camera Raw 17.4. I wanted to delete Lightroom Catalog previews.irdata, which took up 192 GB. To be on the safe side, I wanted to make a backup on an external SSD (format exfat) with 850 GB of free storage space beforehand. At around 180 GB, I received an error message saying that there was not enough storage space!?! The external SSD was full!!! On another attempt, everything was supposedly copied, but Finder showed that only 32 GB of 192 GB had been copied. Renaming it to previews_OLD.irdata did not change anything. Furthermore, despite renaming it, no new previews.irdata was created when LRC was started. I still only have previews_OLD.irdata. What do I need to do so that I can save the 192 GB to an external SSD so that I can delete it from my laptop?
