Lightroom Classic

Windows 11 OS. Lightroom Classic freezing, when I'm using the new AI masking.  (BTW I'm getting a new GPU) However after forced closure it's filling up my C drive. Where can I find the dumped files I can delete and recover the hard drive space? I've already done the obvious cleaning using Windows' utilities. Thank you - Peter

Hi!Im using LR Classic 14.3.1Sometimes when importing .PSD files to LR, i get this C M Y lines across some images, and i cant figure out why, any  help appreciated.

Hi, there is no "defringe", "manual defringe" when I try to copy the settings. Remove Chromatic aberration doesn't do the necessary job, and when I copy the entire lens correction, the manual adjustments are not being copied, which forces me to manualy do it in all pictures that need editing. Could this please be fixed?

I'm unable to export any files from lightroom classic. I restarted the software and was able to export 2 photos before i was unable to export again. any thoughts on how I can fix it? i have never seen this issue   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

I am running Lightroom Classic 14.3.1 on macOS Sequoia 15.4.1. I want to be able to copy photos from the Photos App into Lightroom using the Auto-Import feature. In the Auto-Import settings, I define the Watched Folder with no problem. Photos does export images to this folder just fine. I then move to define the Destination Folder, stored as a Lightroom-indexed folder. When I select OK, I get this error I have checked the Adobe docs at https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/import-photos-automatically.html and in the "Select a destination folder for auto-imported photos" section it says "To select an existing destination folder, select the folder."  I have tried all manner of destination folders, but always get the same error:* within LR indexed folder tree* outside tree* on external drive* on internal drive What am I doing wrong? 

Will Adobe make Lightroom Classic support Apple sidecar fully instead of just mirroring displays? I would like to use my iPad as a tablet (like a Wacom). Marty

Lightroom would not open a few days ago. I took the steps from the community  and it opened up but it could not find my files. All the pictures are gray.  I came back a few day later and it will not open again. I've tried the same steps woth no luck. When I try to reset preferences I don't get an opition to reset them. Maybe Im doing it wrong.  I did the new update in hopes that would help, but nothing. I really need to get back to editing pictures.

After updating Lightroom Classic to v14 and converted my database, all the edited photos that had a "Subject Mask" applied now have an empty mask with a warning and exclamation mark (!). If I let Lightroom correct the mask pushing the exclamation mark on a single photo, it seems the correct subject is selected, keeping the edits. If I do the same with multiple photos together it appears teh usual form that tells that the AI masks are recalculated, but at the end all the masks are still empty with warnings.

Theft: My laptop with adobe applications bridge lr ps etc was stolen in Barcelona by clever professionals. Is there a way to get all those photos back? I terminated the adobe in the stolen laptop, it had not been accessed since the theft.  And I am working now throurg my account and setting up my photographies in the new laptop. These "stolen" photos were not stored in the icloud, but Im sure they are in the LRC for example. Just could not find them. Thanks for any piece of advice, and keep safe with your devices when traveling in the paradise of the thieves, such as Barcelona airport trains.

Hello guys, I have LR Classic 13.0 installed. I would like to use a newer version (13.3 or later), where do I find the update? My Mac will not take the 14 version. Thanks

After upgrading my Mac OS from Sonoma 14.4 to Sequoia 15.4.1 images in all modules of Lightroom Classic 14.3.1 have a green tint when selected.  Images in the film strip below do not seem to be affected.  Is this a know problem and is there a fix available through Adobe.  The images export correctly but it is not possible to work with them in Lightroom because of the tint.

Lightroom Classic CC, latest version, freezes when I use "Synchronize folder" and have the "show import dialog before continuing" option selected. (Not only does it freeze but it ends up using a ton of CPU, more than 200% per Activity Monitor, and the fans start going like crazy.)Lightroom synchronizes the folder just fine when I DON'T have that option selected, but I need to be able to use that option. The problem occurs whether or not the "scan for metadata updates" option is selected.I'm on a Macbook Pro, latest version of Mojave. In Lightroom, the issue occurs for me in the latest version of Lightroom Classic CC. Per a different forum post in which someone solved their problem by downgrading to v 7.5, I tried that but the problem remains.I did NOT have the problem in Lightroom 6 (from 2015), which was what I was using until just recently when I got a new computer and needed to upgrade my OS. While using lightroom classic version 14.3 and trying to select a very clearly defined object my lightroom classic program either crashes after a few minutes of trying to detect the object or it takes 7 minutes to detect the object and it doesn't even do it well.   I'm on windows 10.  I have used the same laptop for years and previously when I was on versions 13.5 and lower all the masking selections worked just fine.   I've updated my graphics driver to the latest and greatest and I've tried to turn the graphics processor setting in lightroom to Auto and Off and neither seems to have made any noticeable improvement in selection.   Sky selection, background selection, and subject selection work fine and relatively quickly.  What gives with object selection?  When I try to select an object my laptop sounds like it's about to blast off and it doesn't do that with the other mask selections.  

Since 14.3, I notice that Auto Advance was occationally on in Develop mode (which it should not). I have caps lock off, sometimes if i select 5 then 6 (5 star + red label), it will occationally auto advance, which is very annoying. Please fix it...M1 Mac, LrC 14.3.1

Hello, I’ve migrated to Lightroom Classic on a new Mac from Lightroom 6.14 on a vintage iMac.  I synchronised and optimised my catalog before importing to Lr Classic. However, some of my original edits are missing.   I repeated the process to create a new catalog, but this hasn’t fixed the problem.  I would welcome advice on how to retrieve the missing edits.

I need to uprade my desktop PC to Windows 11, and Lightroom is one of the more demanding apps I use. It currently runs an Intel i7-3770K processor, which I need to replace for W11. Can anyone recommend an Intel or AMG processor that's suitable? Most on-line reviews seem to focus on gaming requirements, so choosing is proving difficult.

Hello,   Lightroom Classic *keeps* crashing on my Windows laptop (Asus Vivobook Pro 15) , several times each session.  I am never prompted with a crash report dialogue box, but have run the script in the command line to allegedly ensure that happens.  It's either in Library or Develop mode - sometimes the fan is loud before the crash, but more often than not it isn't.  No work is lost, e.g. my latest edit will show upon opening, but it won't open at exactly the same photo, it will be the right collection or import though.   A few high level specs, which show it's not a low-spec machine:   Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 185H 2.50 GHz 40.0 GB (39.4 GB usable)   [I upgraded to this, as thought it might have been the problem] 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 11 Home 24H2 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8Gb [more sytem settings below]   When it first started months ago, someone kindly suggested I turned-off face recognition in the backgrou

I have a similar problem to some, but in the last 4 weeks or so,  Lightroom CC and Camera Raw 9.8 is only inputting 3/4 of my files. If I go out and shoot 100 pictures and input them 75ish import and 25ish do not. I shoot a Nikon D7100 and shoot only raw. I have re-formatted my SD card. Here is the weird thing, I used to use Adobe Elements 13 so I tried Nikon Transfer 2 and it transferred all the pictures where Lightroom only transfers about 3/4 of them. If I then go into Lightroom and try to import some of the files that were "unreadable" about half will be fine while the other half Lightroom can not open.Here are the files unsaved the total shoot was 144 shots 114 transferred fineThe following files were not imported because they could not be read or the destination folder is not writable. When creating a smart collection, if you tell it to find all searchable text containing all, and then you put duplicate words, it does not work. For example, I am an avid birder, and I sort all the bird photographs by their scientific names. One of the birds name is "pica pica" which I note in one of the metadata fields. Lightroom pulls in every photo with the single word pica no matter how I enter it (with or without quotes, with or without plus signs). It does not search for text containing pica space pica. Can this be fixed?
