Synchronize Folder > Scan For Metadata Updates can cause frequent spurious metadata conflicts for TIFFs that are stored on NAS. Over the years many people have reported spurious metadata conflicts that Adobe hasn't been able to track down, and many of those reports involve photos stored on NAS. Here's a recent report:https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/before_after_comparison_of_metadata_conflicts...While the particular use case here may not be that common, it may provide a reproducible test case that points to the bug (likely a race condition) underlying all those other persistent reports. Here are the steps that consistently produce the spurious conflicts in my configuration:1. Connect to a network volume on a 2013 iMac running MacOS 10.14.6. The volume is mounted with SMB 3.0.2. 2. Place 4 1800 x 1200 TIFFs (about 13 MB each) in a folder on the network volume.3. Import them with Add into a LR 9.0 catalog running on a 2019 Macbook Pro
I have been using Lightroom Classic since version 2. Currently using the latest version on a Windows 11 computer. Everything is up-to-date. For years I was able to get satisfactory prints from LrC and used the print module all the time. However, for the past couple of years the prints have come out with a very pinkish cast to them that I cannot resolve. I can print from Epson print layout, Qimage, and Photoshop with no problems. But when I try to print the same image, same profile, same paper with the same settings using LrC the colors are never what they should be anymore. Any suggestions? I know how to use the print module. I have had success with it previously. I can get quality images with other printing software, but LrC has become a real stumbling block. I'm using an Epson ET-8550.
I would like to use Lightroom classic version 12, support cannot give me the installer anymore. Does anybody still have a link?PS I asked a dozen times, all support agents told the same thing.
I use a LrC Classic on a laptop for several months of the year to manage bird photographs away from home. A three-day bird watching trip typically results in 3500 NEF (Nikon Raw) images, and over several months I typically start with a total of 20,000 files. I use the laptop to do culling and editing of the photos, deleting unused files. In the process of editing, I also produce DNG and possibly TIFF files stacked with the original NEF file. Eventually, I want to merge the files into the “master” LrC Classic catalog that I maintain on the home desktop. On both laptop and PC I am running the same version of LrC Classic 15.3.1. I have encountered problems merging the laptop catalog into the master, using guidance that I found on the website. I am hoping that one of you experts can help me explain the problems I encountered and confirm/correct how I tried to resolve it.I know this is detailed, but I wanted to describe my setup so that you can help me. I hope you have the patience to read
I am running latest release of LrC on m Apple silicon Mac. Recently I have started creating collections to sync to Lr on my iPhone & iPad. It generally has worked well, except I have one folder/collection that doesn’t sync its contents. I have tried various suggestions ( stop/start sync, delete/recreate the collection, rebuild the sync database } but nothing seems to work for this collection, Any suggestions would be very much appreciated Marty

Here are the details:Application: Adobe Lightroom Classic Issue: Generative AI remains on the loading screen and never completes the generation. Expected behavior: The AI should process the request and generate the result. Actual behavior: The loading animation continues indefinitely, and nothing is generated.
I did tahoe update to 26.3.1 and LrC update to 15.3 now LRc will not come up. I reverted back to LRc v 15.2.1 and it opens.
LrC very slow Denoise AI. Laptop AMD Ryzen 7 and Radeon 7600m. Latest Radeon drivers. I also tried switching to older drivers but it didn’t help with those either. The computer used to perform this Denoise AI process very quickly (about 15 seconds). Less than a month ago apparently some update caused it so that now the same task takes about 15 minutes. When I go to LrC - preferences - performance Camera Raw. In the settings it is no longer possible to change the <Use Graphics Processor> and <Use GPU for Preview Generation> values. Both values are gray and set to OFF. Earlier, both values could be changed and were, if I remember correctly, set to AUTO. Below this it says that Graphics processor acceleration is not supported by your system. What could possibly have caused this (some update?) and what could be a solution to the problem?
The splash screen this morning shows me logged in 10 days ago and also just 15 hours ago. This is becoming tiresome. Please get rid of it!!
Merge to HDR in LrC 15.3 is stalling (beach ball) or not responding. I frequently merge HDR images for Real Estate photos and today, after updating to LrC 15.3 I had to Force Quit from LrC multiple times to regain control of LrC. I stacked my bracketed shots and used CTRL+H to merge. LrC did process a couple before stalling. After multiple attempts resulting in Force Closing, I tried using the menu commands, no change. I then uninstalled 15.3 and reinstalled a fresh copy of 15.3 and the HDR problem continued. Finally I uninstalled 15.3 and downgraded to 15.2.1 and the Merge to HDR function worked as expected.
After a 6 month break from adobe creative cloud i just logged in and i am unable to use lightroom classic. Lightroom classic will not open through the app. It will also not download. All other creative cloud apps are working.
After the recent update to Lightroom 15.3, I am unable to import photos. No previews are generated and when I try to import any files, the import process hangs and I have to force-quit. I am using a brand-new MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip and 24 GB RAM on Tahoe 26.4.1. I am importing from a CFEXPRESS card via a reader that I’ve used for 2 years. The photos are from a Nikon Z8, both NEF (raw) and JPEGs.I have turned off the GPU acceleration, turned off “Ignore Suspected Duplicates”, deleted the preview cache, and uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom and it still will not generate previews or complete the import process. Additionally, when I try to quit Lightroom Classic, the quitting process hangs and I get the pinwheel of death and have to force-quit. Where can I go to find an answer to this problem?
I have accessibility to LR, but my Windows dosen't support the latest version of LR. Meanwhile, Adobe does not provide old versions of it, which makes it impossible to download. My PC lost some files so it can’t update operative system of Windows, even by downloding update assistant from Microsoft. On the other hand, I don’t know how to get the old version.
Now that Adobe has moved the DNG converter out of LR Classic… In my LR Classic catalog containing over 100,000 images I have thousands of CR3 images that now apparently may need to be converted to DNG’s.If I run the DNG Converter app on CR3 images already in my LR catalog, do the converted files replace the original CR3’s in LR and retain the keywords and LR processing history, etc. as it used to when the DNG conversion was integrated in LR?Or… Does the DNG Converter just blithely convert the CR3’s to DNG’s obliterating the keywords and history and requiring them to be re-imported as new files?I’ve been unable to find an explanation.
Can the Keyword Suggestion automatically not show values already shown in the visible Keyword Set? I tag all my photos extensively but Keyword sets don’t show a lot of values. I use both Keyword Suggestions and a Keyword Set effectively as two Keyword sets. Unfortunately Lightroom often shows the same values as what is visible in the Keyword Set that is selected. This duplication reduces the usefulness, adds delay and extra clicking. See below
In the Print Module we should be able to "Print to TIFF", at 8-bit and 16-bit. We can already print to JPEG but many would prefer to print to TIFF.
Please add an option to turn off the obnoxious grey transparency grid when viewing files in Develop mode. You know, like Photoshop.
See the attached screenshot...the LIBRARY GRID button doesn't work any more..it did up to a couple of days ago. I’m not aware I changed any settings to stop it working, though that will probably turn out to be the answer! A few minutes ago I updated Lightroom Classic to 15.4.1 but that made no difference. I am running Lightroom Classic on a MacBook Pro, Tahoe 26.5.
Hi,I wanted to ask about the new masking improvements in Lightroom Classic 15.4, because I have noticed a behavior that seems very relevant for people photographers. The new Select Subject is clearly much more refined on edges. In many cases, the mask is more detailed and more accurate than before. However, in some images with a model sitting or lying on a sofa/bed, Select Subject does not select only the human subject. It sometimes includes parts of the environment close to the model, such as the sofa, bed, cushions, or similar elements. This is a serious issue in a people-photography workflow. If the goal is to mask the model, a mask that also includes part of the sofa or bed becomes basically unusable, even if the edge refinement is better. On the other hand, Select People is semantically more correct because it identifies the human subject, but in my tests it still seems to have less refined edges than the new Select Subject. So, at the moment, there seems to be a strange trade-off:Se
Since updating to 15.4.1, LR Classic (on Mac Tahoe) is stuck trying to sync 74,000 images, even though I only have 4,400 images in albums marked to sync. I’ve tried both deleting and rebuilding sync data, but the problem pops right back up.Anyone seeing this? Ideas?
I have a relatively new (almost 1 year old) Mac mini M4 and I can't get it to download the update, 15.4.1 that is showing in my Creative Cloud. I starts downloading but extremely slowly and eventually grinds to a halt.Is the problem with me or is it a general issue? I’m currently running LR Classic 15.3.My Mac mini is an M4, 32 GB memory,Mac OS TahoeStorage 304.33 GB available of 994.66 I read a suggestion that I run Creative Cloud Cleaning Tool but though I have downloaded it I can’t seem to open it. Not sure why?
tried eveything… none was working. any help?
I have lost my LR cat file. Not sure how this happened but I have tried everything. I had a corrupted external SSD that I had been using to store photos but LR Classic is on my laptop. I realized it was corrupted because I couldn't write to it. Luckily I could still get all the files off it. I moved everything to a new external HDD and reformatted my SSD. I am pretty sure my catalog was housed on my laptop but even if it was on the corrupted drive I had moved everything off it before reformatting. I have the catalog preview file but not the actual catalog anywhere. I’m pretty depressed thinking I will have to start a new catalog, import thousands of photos and have lost all the edits. Is there any hope for my situation?
