I have mixed media content that I create with a Nikon Z5 and I use Lightroom Classic to import everything on the card to an external hard drive. The last import did not copy any of the .mov files on the SD card. Unfortunately, I did not notice that until after I had formatted the SD card, so I lost a lot of valuable content that I was not able to recover. I have been working as a professional photographer since before Lr or LrC existed, and this is the first time this has happened. I did get a message that some content did not copy, but I have received that same message before and the content was copied. I took a quick look at the files and it seemed like everything was there so I formatted the SD card. I'm putting this in the Bug report because I hope it's just a glitch, but maybe it belongs in discussion if this is what LrC is designed to do. Is this is a bug, or is LrC just giving up on video file formats alltogether? I need to stress how important this is for a
After updating, it tells me I don't have enought graphics memory for people masks.and the new landscape masks just don't work. It goes into "detecting" but never can.It was working well before the newest LrCL updatee Fully updated MacBook Pro, see the screenshot for the specs.
Help needed. Last few months i have noticed a considerable slowness in editing pictures in either Library mode or Develope. Any change there seems to be a lag? My machine is not having any performance issues and is fairly nice spec. but its getting worse. I've been using a TranslatedStrings_Lr_en_US.txt file since February without any issues. It sets the shortcut for the Masking panel to Shift + Z, and Redo to Ctrl + Shift + Z, instead of the awkward Ctrl + Y shortcut. "$$$/AgDevelop/Menu/View/Mask/Key=Shift+Z" "$$$/Application/Menu/Edit/RedoWin/Key=Ctrl+Shift+Z" After installing version 11.5, both shortcuts stopped working. By removing the first line, I was able to use the default shortcut, Shift + W, for Masking, which I can live with, but I would prefer Shift + Z. Having to use Ctrl + Y for Redo is harder to live with.
Hi. I'm looking for advice on what gadget to get that I can use to back up my pictures while travelling without access to Wi-Fi. I don't want to use my iPad. I want something that I can use daily that has its own rechargeable power. I am not a technical person but I want something that will ignore previously uploaded pictures. Thank you.
Hello: I had a working Lightroom Classic and Canon Print Studio but had to wipe Windos off and start fresh. A Microsoft update didn't play nice. So, a fresh install of Lightroom Classic. Tried to install Canon Print Studio, it appeared to install but told a file was missing when I tried to run it in Lightroom. This seems to be a common problem! So I ignored it and tried to just use Print. But no image showed and the Print and Printer buttons are greyed out. I do have 'Print To' set to printer. Any ideas please? Thanks Donald {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
Dear Community Would apprecatie some help resolving a frustracting 'glitch' that is erasing creative work from images. Running Lightroom Classic 14.3 on Mac M3 sequoia 15.4 After an upgade to Sequoia (from Sonoma 14.3 (or 4) and a upgrading from 13.4 to 14 of Lightroom classic, images in collections when clicked on are returning back to raw files and in develop mode images freeze and can't click to next image, sometimes with a grey panel. this happens even when turning off graphics processing from perfomance in settings. Since the upgrades newly uploaded raw files seem to be ok, not losing previous edits. Raws are on external drive but have been working before this issue came to light Any ideas would be apprecatied
In LC 13.5, I am dragging multiple files into Collections. After dragging for a while (hundreds of photos), I can't drag photos anymore. Everything else works fine but dragging photos stops working. Any idea? Thanks!
Hi, I am beginning to use Lightroom for real estate. If I merge 3 photo's with different adjustments I'll get a weird glitchy greeny photo. It look terrible. The photo's are clear, but also Photoshop merges this into ugly colours. What is it that I do wrong? I just followed the steps on youtube. Importing photo's, stack and than HDR merge.
Hi guys, oldtime Lr User here, but new to the forums. (My native language is spanish, so excuse me if my english is bad.) System Specs: LR Classic 12.2 release, Camera Raw 15.2 (Build 202302032259-eb84d255) on a 2013 Mac Pro 6-Core 3.5Ghz Xeon with 16 gigs of ram Running MacOS Monterey 12.6.3 (21G419) and with a Synology NAS DS420+ Running the latest version of DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 3 In my studio we have 3 workstations; the first is my "trashcan" mac pro 6,1, and 2 assembled windows PC. We use several catalogs that are stored locally on each machine and synchronized with synology drive, so we always have the updated catalogs on every workstation, and all the raw files are stored on the NAS. Each client has his own catalog and directory with the name "-Name of the client- Medios" being "medios" the word we use to know that is the correct folder, and then it contains the usual LR structure that is year and then date folders. Each time one of my assi
When I choose Denoise, and then choose Enhance, I get the progress bar "creating DNG using Denoise" as usual. However, it gets almost to the end, then the photo disappears and I get the message on the gray screen that no photo is selected. I have attempted this several times. My iMac had been powered off/on, and Denoise has worked for me in the past, but this was the first attempt in v.14.3. Ideas?
Hi guys,Adobe Creative is updating. I have and use Lightroom Classic for still photography only..I noticed in my Applications folder the following folders:Adobe, Adobe Bridge 2022 thru 2025, Adobe Connect, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign 2022 thru 2025, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Lightroom CC, Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Photoshop (Beta), Adobe Photoshop 2025, Adobe Premiere Rush 2.0, Adobe Reader 9. (When I write 2022 thru 2025 I mean separate folders for each year, that's 4 folders per.)Which to keep - or not? And how to best remove outdated folders? Thanks a lot
I previousle have used the feature to press "I" to toggle between image information, but now this seems to have benne removed (or changed). How do I do that now?
In Develop Module, after using the remove tool (doesn't matter which of the remove tools is used), the right left arrow keys no longer work to go to next photo. Workaround: If you click the Library tab and back to Develop, the right / left arrow keys will work again. Reproduction steps. 1. In develop module2. Use right or left arrow key to move to a picture3. Select remove tool4. Remove a selection using the Remove Option (or heal or clone)5. Hit <enter> to accept6. Attempt to move to next picture with left or right arrow (does not work) Windows 1114.3 Release
Hi everyone, I feel a bit like I am going insane. I feel like I've tried everything at this point including going back and forth with chatgpt and checking other forums. I just can't get the denoise to work and I keep getting the same error message, denoise was not applied, an unknown error occured. I have tried converting my photo from NEF to DNG, i've tried resetting the lightroom settings, checking use gpu on and off, restarted the program, deleted raw cache files, transfered the photo location from external to local hardrive, made sure I have plenty of space on my laptop, and many many many more possible solutions. Camera: Nikon D850, 150-600mm tamron lens. Computer: Macbook pro, attached is info.Lightroom: 14.2 release, Camera Raw 17.2I am desperate for any help. Thank you in advance.
The new Landscape mask feature is a brilliant addition, filling a long-standing gap. In many cases, it works beautifully and creates separate masks as expected. However, there is one major shortfall or bug: it often creates overlapping masks, re-using the same portions of the photo for multiple unrelated masks. I can see how "mountains" and "vegetation" overlap and be used in both masks, but "water" should not be re-used for "sky" or "mountains" or "ground". Water is water, it is neither of the others. I attached an example where it not only fails to detect the sky (it detects it as Mountains - but excludes the Milky Way) and then uses that same sky portion in the "natural ground" mask. The "water" mask includes the Milky Way in the sky, even though there is a fairly clear horizon line. The latter is clearly a failure of A.I., but in general, masks should not overlap and should programmatically be exclusive of each other (perhaps with the exception of mountains and vegetation).&nb
The new Landscape mask feature includes the sky as part of the composition. That renders the dedicated SKY mask obsolete. I suggest to remove the dedicated SKY mask icon and convert it to a LANDSCAPE icon in the top panel. A related feature improvement is to also always expand all Mask options and not force the user to click and expand the RANGE masks.
Currently, when you have a rejected image selected and perform the delete rejected image(s) from disk function, Lightroom Classic jumps all the way back to the first image instead of moving to the next or previous one. It slows down culling a lot. Would be way better if it just stayed in place (or moved forward/back). Thanks!
Now that lightroom has masking advanced enough to take advantage of it, it would be nice if we could get a simple slider or set of sliders to add blur that looks like authentic defocus blur added directly to lightroom.
LR Classic does recognize my Sigma lens, but incorrectly assigns a different Tamron lens as the only option to correct for lens Chromatic aberation.
I don't shoot photos frequently so I don't need to pay for Lightroom every month. So is there a monthly subscription Option for Adobe Lightroom?
Help please! My lightroom CC is up to date, I shoot in RAW, my denoise was working perfectly. One day it stopped working and says, "Denoise is not currently compatible with this photo format." Nothing on my camera changed, nothing should have changed with my lighroom. Any suggestions?? Using a Macbook Pro 16'' 2019 with Ventura that is up to date. Not out of memory on my computer at all!!! Thanks!
When using the Angle tool in the Crop overlay, it’s really easy to mess up the line when lifting your finger off a trackpad. It moves the cursor slightly and throws off the straightening. I would be elated if there was a way to finish the line by pressing a key (like Shift, Enter, whatever) instead of lifting off the trackpad. This would make straightening way more accurate and less frustrating, especially for laptop users.
Canceling an export to JXL can sometimes crash Lightroom. To reproduce in LR 14.1.1 / Mac OS 15.2: 1. Download and open this catalog: https://www.dropbox.com/s/64jcxpwzpmyrmlp/cancel-export-bug.2025-01-24.zip?dl=0 2. Import the Export preset "To Catalog as JXL.lrtemplate" stored in the catalog folder. 3. Arrange Finder to show next to LR the subfolder cancel-export-bug/Desktolp/test-pics/jxl. 3. Select the two photos. 4. Right-click the first photo and do Export > To Catalog As JXL. 5. Wait until the first exported .jxl appears in the folder and immediately click the Export cancel button before the second .jxl appears. LR will often crash. 6. If it doesn't crash, delete the one or two .jxls from the folder and repeat steps 4-6. I've submitted several crash reports under my Adobe Id. See the attached screen recording showing the recipe.
Trimmed Duration in the Video tagset of the Metadata panel is blank until you delete <catalog>Helper.lrdata and restart LR (i.e. another caching bug). To reproduce on LR 14.1.1 / Mac OS 14.6.1: 1. Make a new catalog. 2. Import the attached video. 3. In Loupe, trim the video to one second long. 4. In the Metadata panel's Video tagset, observe that Trimmed Duration is blank: 5. Restart LR and observe Trimmed Duration is still blank. 6. Exit LR and in the catalog folder, delete <catalog>Helper.lrdata. 7. Restart LR and observe that Trimmed Duration now correctly shows the duration:
