Hi all, As I understand it, the "Main Window" - "Secondary Monitor" feature in Lightroom Classic requires two actual physical monitors. I have become used to this in my workflow. I have two 32" monitors and use the left one for the main program window while working in the Develop module, reserving the right one for a full display of the photo I am working on. I am now planning to migrate to an ultrawide monitor, and it has come to my attention that there are software solutions for Windows 11 that allow for "virtual" monitors within a single screen. Windows PowerToys (FancyZones) seems to be one of these solutions. Are any of you working in this format? If so, how reliable and effective is the emulation solution? Thank you in advance for any replies. AK
Quand j'ouvre Lightroom Classic le système est bloqué et le message "ne répond pas" apparaît.
I have a Mac OS Secuoia 15.3.2 and a LrC 12.1 version (Camera Raw 15.1). I am not able to open my lates Nikon files with this version it seems. But at the same time I am not able to upgrade my LrC to the latest version. Im am not given that possibility in Adobe cc, no new updates appears there for me. Why is that? Can anybody help me out? Hi, I am having trouble with the masking tool in Lightroom Classic installed on my Windows Laptop. I have used it extensively in the past but now when iIclick on the masking tool the box flashes up and then disappears. I don't know why it wouldn't be working as I am not doing anything differently. Any ideas would be very appreciated.
Hi, so the texture slider does NOT affect fine details, though according to an adobe agent sliding "texture" to the right "accentuates details such as bark or hair". Now I dont have any portraits or photos with bark in my catalog so I cant test this myself, but I was always of the belief that bark and especially hair are considered fine detail. I guess the question has 2 parts to it: #1 have you ever come across bark and/or hair that you would NOT consider fine detail, #2 have you used the texture slider and it affected hair or bark in your photo? thanks
I was taking pictures at a high school softball game, and the field is surrounded by a high enough chain link fence that there's almost no shooting location that isn't looking through the fence. When I zoom in, the fence is mostly blurred in the image to the point that it's barely noticeable (though it still gives the autofocus fits!), but there's still some diagonal darker areas in the image from the highly blurred fence pattern. It occurred to me that correcting an image to compensate for the darker cross-hatch pattern from the blurred fence would be incredibly tedious by hand (and probably still wouldn't look quite right), but it seems like it would be almost trivial for an AI based editor -- assuming someone bothered to train one to compensate for that specific pattern. Surely I'm not the only person trying to do sports photography that has had to shoot through a chain link fence. Does anyone know if there are any AI tools designed to compensate f
This error appears every time I open LR Classic.: I have reset preferences it didn't help. I don't care about keeping the preset--don't even know what it is. I just need to get rid of the annoying error message. I'm using a MacBook Pro.
I'd love if Lightroom's eye dropper tool could function like photoshop's info panel to check RGB levels. where you drop a marker on a spot on the photo and then the readings are shown from the same spot. It would help A LOT so we can check values and manipulate the settings to get our numbers where we want them, instead of having to look for the same spot over and over again after we move the mouse to change anything. please have this in lightroom as soon as possible please!
I have two collections:"source" with 150 images"edited" with 106 imagesThese 106 images are part of the "source" collection. Question: how can I create a smart collection with the difference between these two collection. This smart collection should contain the 44 images that are in the "source" but not in the "edited" collection.
How can I sort pictures imported in same library but taken with different cameras (for instance when you shoot a sports game alternating between two cameras with different lenses) on timestamp when picture was actually taken, to keep the pictures in chronologic order, but I don't know how to do that... They sort chronologically now, but also sort themselves on name given by camera -which is totally irrelevant at this stage. Any help appreciated...
I have dual monitor plus my MacBook Pro's screen. I have Lightroom classic open on my left monitor; however, this window shows up on m MBP's screen. I could not figure out how to close this window. What is this window use for? I don't think I've ever seen/used it before.
I'm trying to use the AI Denoise on quite a few images and I noticed Lightroom was only using 4GB of RAM. I changed the camera raw max cache settings to 64GB (I have 128GB available) and restarted the denoise and it still only uses 4GB of RAM. Is there any way to make it use the maximum amount I'm allowing it to speed up the process?
I've been playing with the new HDR mode and trying to understand whether it's useful to me. After watching a bunch of videos from Adobe and others, I'm still no clearer. Maybe my estimable colleagues can help. I sometimes capture HDR images using bracketing, but all of my work is targeted towards print, which of course is SDR at best. Is there any benefit to editing HDR files in HDR? Or is all of that information already compressed into the SDR range when I'm editing in SDR mode?
I have a few thousand photos from a vacation that I am trying organize. In the library module, I enter text on the caption field and sync them across multiple images. From time to time I would run into the 'unqiue contraint' error (seen screen shot). It happens frequently and the only way around is to restart lightroom. I have seen this error before and normally happen every once in a while. It seems to have gotten worse with the latest version of lightroom. The catalog is brand new, created just for this set of vacation photos. Does anyone know a way to fix this annoying error? On macos with latest lightroom (auto updated).

Hey there, Since years, I've been shooting stacks and importing them into PS as layers.Since a while, LR allows to open as Smart Object layers in PS. Is there any way to link the files to LR instead of embedding them - so when I change a setting to the entire stack in LR, the changes automatically carry over to PS?Or ist there an efficient way to batch edit SO layers in PS so I don't have to create a preset in CR and apply that to 100 layers separately? Even if I create an action I have to manually select and OK the CR preset, since CR is an external app, apparently.
I am using a new Macbook Pro with Lightroom and I want to store my original images on a NAS. I have been doing this with an older QNAP NAS, but lightroom keeps loosing the NAS and I have to keep finding the missing folders in lightroom. QNAP have suggested that maybe the older NAS is not upto the task. Any recomendations on NAS's. My preference is to stay with QNAP as I would like to use the current NAS as a backup and the new NAS as storage.
Hey everyone, I have a problem that when I import photos, every single time without fail at least one, if not more, of the photos import like this. They are fine on the memory card when I view on the camera and before import, then for a split second after import, but then they go like this and there is nothing I can do about it. Sometimes when I log back on the next day to continue editing, another of the photos that was imported the day before and were fine, will have gone like this as well. I have tried importing them again with no luck, I have tried new memory cards, with no luck and now I am not sure what else to try...Can anyone please shed some light on why this is happening and how I fix it please! I am loosing good photos from client shoots because of this issue! Thanks in advance
Hello, So unfortunately the agent and I struggled in our conversation and now I am left with 2 questions instead of 1: #1 - Parametric curve is adjusting the brightness of ALL colours in the relevant tonal area. Point curve DOES THE EXACT SAME THING, the only difference being you can have up to 14? tonal areas whereas Parametric curve has 4, and Point Curve can boost/decrease brightness by a maximum of up to 4 large grids vs 2 large grids. -- Correct? #2 - If Parametric curve and Point curve do the same thing, then why does only Point Curve have "refine saturation" slider? thanks
I get this massage when I open Lightroom classic, the file is there and when I choose to use different catalog it works fine, I save this in my presest options. next time I open LRC it does the same. Having a problem when using the new denoise feature with the image not displaying after being processed?Everything works fine with the feature, I can see the preview and then click on enhance. I can see the progress bar in the top left of the screen and then when it's complete I don't get a new photo in my collection, I get a message saying no photo selected.Looking in my collection no new photo as being added, and all filters are offI'm using LR Classic 12.3 on an iMac with Mac OS 13.3.1
What happened to the opacity slider in the remove section of Lightroom Classic in the recent upgrade? There used to be an opacity slider for both cloning and removal. Is this no longer an option? Thanks, Joann
So I finally bit the bullet and acquiesced to Adobe’s subscription model and bought a Lightroom “plan” with lightroom classic. I attempted to open my Lightroom 5.7 .lrcat file by right clicking and opening with the freshly downloaded "Adobe Lightroom" app (I'm assuming this is "Lightroom Classic". "About Lightroom" says it's "Version 8.2") and got an error stating that it’s not compatible and needs to be updated to a Lightroom 6 catalog, but Lightroom six isn’t available for download. I opened the new Lightroom Classic application, and it immediately wanted to try and upload to the “cloud”. When I switched to looking for local folders it refused to look into subfolders and I don’t see the “include subfolders” tick-box like the one shown here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/lightroom-classic-import-include-subfolders-search-entire-disk/m-p/11349218 I also see no “Import Photos” menu option. I'm not sure
I use keywords to name different species of birds in photos. This works great in Lightroom Classic as you can quickly bring up all photos of this type of bird. When I sync the photos from Classic to Lightroom Mobile it does not sync the keywords and it is thus difficult to remember every different species of bird. If we can't sync keywords can you suggest a different way that I can get the name of the bird into Lightroom Mobile from Classic?
Bonjour,En ouvrant lightroom aujourd'hui, Adobe me dit, a ma grande surprise, que l'application est désactivé.J'ai bien été prélevé au début du mois. Je ne comprends pas. Suis-je seul dans ce cas?
