Lightroom Classic

Can't open LR Classic. Get a message that the catalogue is open in another application. No idea what that is. Help please!

Hi, I'm trying to add an audio file to a picture (like in Slideshow); example is dog's bark over a picture of that particular dog.  I can add while in Slidshow but then it says the music file is not well formed.  Now that I look at it do I need to change the file back to a .wav file?  Not sure how/why Apple decided to do that.  Thank you for your help!

I just moved from a PC to a MAC. The moving of LrC went well using the book from Lightroom Queen. A few hiccups but ok except for watermarks. All my graphic watermarks appeared when I selected one in EXPORT however I received a generic 'watermark error'.Looking at the template, on the MAC, I found this line imagePath = "C:\\Users\\paul\\Pictures\\_Photography\\Signatures\\Digital Art - White.png",Obviously this will not work on a MAC. When I manually tried to change the file reference to the correct one for MAC, I still got an error.Looks like I need to recreate my watermark definitions on the MAC 😞

Bonjour,Je rencontre de grosses lenteur lors du debruitage. Le temps pour faire une photo est generalement de 40 secondes. Au bout de quelques actions sur Lightroom Classic (derniere version a jour, sur Windows 11 a jour, pilotes a jour) le temps passe d'un coup a 8 minutes. I'm really struggling. Recently upgraded to a M3 Pro, 18 GB MacBook Pro. When I first got it the DeNoise feature FLEWWWW by but now it takes roughly two minutes per picture, this is really disrupting my workflow, any tips? I specifically got the 18GB to handle editing so feeling a little lost.  Shooting on a Canon R6 Mark II and Canon R5 for reference.

I'm currently working in a folder with ~300 pictures.In the filmstrip they are arranged by time taken - which means that every picture occurs twice and then the next picture comes up.Now I want to assemble some of these pictures into a panorama. For that I want to select only the JPG (and later only the DNG) pictures. I do this manually by Ctrl + Clicking on each picture.But sometimes instead of selecting the correct image the next image over is selected (or even the one after that).My hypothesis is that the click-event is not correctly associated with the cursor position but rather the position is only taken from the cursor when the click is processed. Hello,I just have a simple question. I'd like to buy Lightroom and use it on my current computer. However, I'll probably buy a new computer in a few months. Can I then legally move Lightroom to the new computer without having to buy it again? And can I move the Lightroom library to the new computer, including all the work I did on my pictures so far?Thanks!

Hi, my first post here on forum, but have used LR and PS since Rawshooter 🙂I have a new computer laptop ASUS Proart with 64Gb RAM and Nvidia RTX3000.LR hangs and crashes after a while and I have tried to find the problem. What I can see is that LR increase the amount of RAM usage while working and it starts with just under 1GB and after a couple of hour LR reaches 4GB and then it hangs and crashes ever time. I don't get an option to send a crashreport. I only use local storage for my files. Hello,In the past week or so, LRC 'loses' links to files I've just uploaded. I'm using an iMac running Sequoia 15.1.1. LRC is up to date (14.1.1) and store images on an external HD. I close LRC and when I open it again, all is well. I suspected my external HD is dying, but why would everythign be OK when I reopen LRC?In a not so related issue, when I want to use a brush or linear gradient, I can't see either until I begin to use them on the actual image.Let me know if I need to provide any additional information.Thank you.

I hope some one can help me with this....  I have no photos in my current catalog from China and do not have China as Keyword and it does not appear when I select in "Keyword Tags",  just "Keywords". However, when either I select "Keywords & Containing Keywords" or "Will Export" China apears and I cannot delete this from the displayed list. I have no idea how this has happened. I'm hoping that someone can tell why this is happening and how to fix it.  Please note I do not have a metadata preset using this keyword.  It's fustrating not knowing and perhaps it isn't fixable but at least I would like to know how to stop it going forward.  Thank you Attaching a couple of screen grabs to illustrate the issue. 

I am trying to get an image where the woman on the left is alone on a plain background.  Tried removing woman on right but that gave me a replacement woman or a scrambled replacement.  I cut woman on the leeft to the clipboard but couldn't get her back.Any ideas appreciated.  The help in LRC told me to go to PS 2024 but couldn't work it out there.

I have been using Lightroom Classic for many years without problems. This latest version 14.1.1 works OK for a while and then crashes. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a fix?

Workflow: Load photos from camera to computer hard drive then move them to various new or exesting folders on external hard drive.  Import to LRC from those folders.  Dell computer Windows 10Question:  Say I load new photos to cmputer hard drive then move those to various folders on the external drive.  Moved photos of flowers to a flowers folder on external drive which alreday had photos that have already been imported to LRC.  When I try to import the flowers folder to get the new photos the new photos never transfer. What am I missing?

I have a number of random images that are not in folders, and in attepting to open them to identify them, and drag into their country folders, the following drop down appears.....___________________________________________"You do not have permission to open this document                           "1D7A - - - - .CR2"Contact your computor or network administrator                            for assistance                                   OK______________________________Adobe Support have checked all my Adobe permissions, including Privacy and Securiy, and they are in order. I upgraded to the newest version Lightroom Classic 13.5.1   I use Windows 10 with 2 screens.   I use a second screen.  That screen is in the Loupe modus. When I edit a Photo via the Develop Mode, The second screen is not updating the desired Changes. So that screen still shows the unchanged pic. That is very Annoying. The main screen follows inmidiatly the wanted changes. 

I tried to tether the leica Sl2-s with the latest software updates as of today, on a 16 inch Macbook Pro (Intel). For some reason the window with searching for camera is still open as it cannot find the camera. Anyone any suggestions? This is already the second time that tethering with Leica is a shitshow.

In grid view, selecting multiple photos (maybe over 50) and using "Read Metadata from Files" is magnitudes slower than previous releases.   (Writing metadata is very fast)   During the process - if running only lightroom - system memory is hogged (16GB system running down to 19/20 MB) In previous releases (pre 11) this was not an issue. I have been working , editing metadata outside LR this way for many years.Current preferences:Save XMP as changes made disabed.Write metadata to JPG/TIF/PSD etc enabledMac system. Macbook Pr. OS Montery - fully updated. 4K HDR monitor. Data sored on fast thunderbolt drives. metadata is being written form photomechanic.

Wenn ich die Entwicklungseinstellungen von einem Bild kopiere und in ein anderes einfüge, dann wird alles bis auf den Weißabgleich übernommen. I have a number (100) of missing pictures in Lightroom Classsic and too many folders to go through to find them. Is there an app or AI Bot that we can run that will find the missing pictures on my computer and repair the link?

I have created this discussion post to inquire about 24H2. I am looking for comments and links to documents. So, MS appears to be now rolling out the 24H2 update. The question is, should we? Should LrC users trust this Windows update, or wait for more bugs to be fixed? Yes, some members may have new computers that already have this version. But many of those members with 24H2 have WOS/CoPilot/ARM Devices and are having issues not because of 24H2, but due to a lack of current Adobe support for those computers. But what about members having Windows 11 version 23H2 and older? Wait for further bug fixes? Wait for Adobe to state ready to go (I do not remember them ever doing so on previous OS updates). Does anyone who has updated the OS regret doing so?

Hey guys,I've been having problems with my LRC 😕😕Once I'm done editting my pictures and try to export it I can only export in .dng while some days ago I could just choose between the format..The tab of file settings won't even show. Hope to hear from you guys!Rob

I purchased my first MacBook and am having troubles getting Lightroom Classic to display my catalog properly.  For better understanding all my photos are located on a NAS.  From my Windows 10 PC the mount point was "Z:/Multimedia/Picture Picture/..." and now from my Mac it is "/Multimedia/Picture Picture/...".  I got my catalog to connect however all of the photos under the collections section are just showing grey boxes with no images in them.  Any thoughts on what I need to do?
